The ol wife had been complaining about our bed for months, waking up with sore hips, sore back, sore shoulder. On Sunday September 30 we decided to check out the local mattress shop in our town. Alex the salesperson is a young good looking kid who seemed to know most of the features and benefits of each mattress on the showroom floor.. the showroom is clean and the beds are clean to lay on. The wife and I spent about three hours jumping from bed to bed and narrowed it down to two brands Tempurpedic and Aireloom. Since I couldn't decide I asked for the price delivered for each, the Tempurpedic $6100 and some change with a $300 in store credit, the Aireloom $6400 and some change. I told Alex I needed to check out the reviews to make a decision. After checking out the reviews that night, the wife and I went back on Thursday the 4th to make a purchase, now the price went from $6100 to $6700, I asked why the difference in price from Sunday, 'I don't know, maybe , maybe it was the Labor Day price". Labor Day is usually the beginning of September, I just asked him to honor the price from Sunday, his response" sorry can't do." Frustrating, he wrote down prices for each mattress and that was worth the paper it was written on. Delivery was excellent, great communication as to when delivery would show up. The delivery people were professional, quick and left the place clean. I would have given 5 stars but it was irritating that the price went up $600 within four days and no mention that there was a special for that one day only. read more

As a first time buyer of a bed, I was pretty unsure what I wanted. I looked online for ages and only came up more confused. when I walked into the Sleep Shoppe I was met by a very welcoming guy named Rudy. I was on my lunch break, and mentioned that I wasn't ready to buy immediately and he smiled and assured me that he wouldn't pressure me to buy anything. He asked about my preferences, listened and showed me a few beds, then adjusted his focus on what I was liking about the beds. The bed he showed me immediately after listening to what I liked was the bed I ultimately chose, although he recommended that I look through a couple others just to be sure that I was satisfied with my options. I was really happy to have some good information, a solid choice, and a place that I felt comfortable in. He provided an upfront price that was lower than my budget, which even included delivery and installation! I told him that I'd be ready to purchase in 2 weeks time. He smiled, put me in the schedule and said that the bed would be set and ready to go! (it was!) I received a call the night before delivery by their automated system, confirmed it, the guys arrived on time, installed the bed within 10 minutes of arriving. Just bought our very first memory foam mattress from here and we are very happy thus far. We spent quite a few days trying out several beds in the shop and getting information. We were well informed and could have bought a mattress from Costco for cheaper but what sold us was the ability to try the bed and the no pressure customer service. We also had an experience that might have had some folks upset about their purchase but they actually did right by us. The original bed we wanted was in our price range but when they went to order it, the company had discontinued the bed we wanted. Basically they had all the sizes except for the Cal. King. So, the Sleep Shoppe sold us a more expensive bed at the same price...and I am not talking $100 more...I am talking much more. I am sure they didn't make any money on the sale but at the end of the day, they wanted to keep the customer happy and that's what they did. I can appreciate a company that goes out of their way to make the customer happy and that is what The Sleep Shoppe did. read more

Just returned from the shop and made our very first mattress purchase! We went to Macy's first and weren't given much attention (probably because we are young), but when we arrived here, we immediately felt comfortable. Mattress shopping just isnt very comfortable (i.e. laying on beds in front of others lol). But Jonathan (our salesman) made it comfortable and he was extremely knowledgeable. He listened to why we needed a new bed and what factors played a part in choosing the right one for us. On top of it all, he showed us ONLY the mattresses that were in our price range. We purchased our 2 mattress from here and we were always happy, our brand of choice was "beauty sleep". It was the time to replace one of the mattress and we went to the store as a loyal customers. The salesman always nice this time was showing us all of the brands that we didn't know, saying everything else is sold out/wait list due to the covid. We end up with a brand called "honeydew" and it is absolutely terrible. The turnaround time to replace/return the mattress is very short 20 days I believe. And shortly after it pass, I developed shoulder blade pain, my neck hurts and I can't get up from the bed in the morning without being in pain. I couldn't put these two together until I went for a trip and slept on a different mattress and woke up like a new born. This was a very expensive mistake of ours and most likely will not recommend the shoppe any more. read more

Bought a mattress here on August 7th and I still haven't received it. It's been 2 weeks. So my wife and I went in and bought it after trying a few different models. The staff was nice. We were told it wasn't in stock and it would have to be ordered. We bought an Airebloom and they knocked off the tax. The delivery date was set for Friday next week. I called to check on the order and I was told they weren't sure if it was coming in. Something about it was ordered. Even though Airebloom is made in Rancho cucomango, so someone from the company could've picked it up. They changed the delivery date to Saturday. That was fine to my wife and I. The day before I was called by the store and told something else happened and the mattress wouldn't be in until the following week. I asked for the store to give us a break on price or something. I was told the best they could do was offer us a used mattress to sleep on until ours arrived. Wow, what a gesture... talk about customer service. Anyway, I haven't heard from the store since then... that was last week. They have my money, I have no new mattress, and I have no idea when I'm getting my mattress. My advice. Go to someone else. An Airebloom isn't cheap and all the other stores sell them anyway read more

We have been on a sleep # bed for over 12 years. Over the last few years we've replaced the air chambers and started having problems with the air pump. Also we're having aches and pains over the past couple years, even the 5 dogs that sleep with us started complaining about their backs. Time for a new mattress. We shopped about 8 local stores and decided we wanted twin xl with adjustable bases. The Sleep Shoppe was $300 cheaper on each base than the next lowest store. On mattresses and bases $1500 cheaper than Sit and Sleep(You're killin' me Larry) and $800 cheaper than anywhere else. Their delivery guys were GREAT!!!! The first night on the new bed was AWESOME!!!! No tossing and turning from aches and pains and not stiff in the morning. Plus the bed is 6 inches wider than our cal king and gives all 7 of us room to stretch out. read more

I wish I would have NEVER stepped foot into this rip-off store. Only "nice" to you when you are spending your money; their offer to resolve the problem, was "sorry you're out of luck". What a rude approach to customer service. Rudy Renteria -- I thought the mattresses had warranties from each manufacturer. I would NOT recommend anything with ENGLANDER on it. Only 7 months and it is sagging and I wake up every morning with back & shoulder pain. I never had back pain until I purchased this mattress. My 13 y/o Beauty Rest mattress was not that bad. They say, shop local. 3rd mattress from them.... 2nd one had to return too. That cost $320.68 to return. Wish I would have purchased one from Macy's on sale.... I've wasted over $1600 on a mattress, that is junk. I left a message with Fred the owner, I will update when I hear back from him.
