I was forced to switch dentists and I could not be more pleased! Dr. Liao is so very nice, my kids LOVE her and one of my daughters wouldn't even open her mouth for one of our other dentists. They moved in to the new office at Tralee and the office is beautiful, and they even let me schedule my appointments so I can watch Oprah while I am there. Most amazing service. Thanks to other yelpers I decided to try out Dublin Smile. The office has the latest in technology. I didn't care much for technology at first but it truly is amazing what technology can do. The different angled camera, the amazing revolving x-ray machine, mouth guard cleaning machine. This helps save a lot of time and allows for better accuracy. The doctor's [Dr. Shiao and Dr. Liao] Hygienist [Roxanne] and office manager [Audrey] really take the time to know you and your needs. Everyone is always sooooo nice. From the people in the front all the way to the dentist these people are friendly but also honest with you when it comes to treatment plans. New dentist! Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Everyone was very professional, the check in process was easy on a tablet pc, and the waiting room was well stocked with coffee, TV, and kid's toys. They made sure I was attended to even while waiting, saying "we're almost ready for you!" every so often, and my appointment was pretty much on time. A five-star review for a dentist office? You bet. Dr. Shiao was my dentist back when he was with Gentle Dental in Pleasanton. My family and I followed him when he left to start his own practice with his wife. I'm so glad we did! All these years later, we're still patients. What I love about Dublin Smiles is how friendly and professional everyone is. It's truly service with a smile. I always get the impression that they actually care about how their patients feel. For example, I hate the discomfort of getting my teeth x-rayed and biting down on that hard piece of plastic. However, staff members always acknowledge the discomfort and go out of their way to take the x-rays as quickly as possible. It's also nice that there's a flat screen TV over every chair. Having your teeth cleaned isn't too bad when you can kick back and watch HGTV or Judge Judy. By the way, Dublin Smiles is also in a great location. What an awesome team they have here! I really loved how friendly everyone was and how at ease they made me feel (I hadn't been to the dentist for a while so I was a little nervous). I interviewed my colleagues in order to find new dentist and followed an advice from one of them. What a mistake! They offered a whitening as a bonus to my X-rays and cleaning however when cleaning was finished they notified me that the whitening will be scheduled afterwards. Dr, Liao also recommended some work done ( crown replacement) which , however they never called me back to make an appointment. The brand new office covers lack of professionalism, they double bill the X-rays and cleaning fees, even going to the best practice in Berkeley was not that pricey. I definitely recommend looking into a different office, don't be fooled by their interior - it's not worth your $$$. read more

My daughter picked this dental office without consulting us. We were charged 3 "no shows", late fees and finance charges; they never called my house and I found out only from the collection services. I had to "bend over" and pay for everything except for a hefty discount of $10. I checked with my wife and was told that they had switched the dates to their convenience. 3 "no show" charges? come on!! Will not recommend this dental office ever!!! read more

Dr Shiao is fantastic. My husband and I have been going to him for abut 8 years. He is kind, friendly and compassionate. We just went to visit him at this office for the first time last week, and he is the same wonderful person he was at his previous office. The office is gorgeous and state of the art. His assistant, Roxanne, was the best! She cleaned my teeth with virtually no pain and it was the most thorough cleaning I have ever had. She even showed me how to floss correctly, complete with a video. No one has ever showed me how to properly floss. I would never go to another dentist, period. I've seen Dr Shiao and Liao and love them both. The dental hygienists and assistants are wonderful and helpful even when I have my hands full with my kids. The doctors are gentle, and great with the kids. I had some trouble with recent cavities and a root canals when I never needed work before. Once we spoke about it, we realized I'm drinking too much sparkling water and we spoke all about biodentisty and what I can do to prevent cavities. I do wish the Drs took a more preventative approach in the future. But I've lived in 3 states and really enjoy this office and the care we are receiving is great. read more

I recently moved from San Jose and was lucky enough to have found Dr. Janice Liao and her team. They have been absolutely awesome! I called to make an appointment and was able to come in the following week. Audrey (the office manager) was very proactive and called my insurance company to verify my coverage, and thank goodness she did. There was some misinformation/confusion that I was able to get cleared up right away. Had Audrey not done that, it could have been a real pain in later on. Thank You! I had Roxanne as my dental hygienist, and she did a fabulous job. She is obviously very skilled in her profession; quick and thorough. She took the time to give me brushing/flossing pointers on how to hit the hard to reach areas and I came out feeling squeaky clean! Dr. Liao was great. She seemed genuinely interested in getting to know her new patient, and took the time to answer any question I had. After the great experience I had, my wife decided to give them a try. I highly recommend Dublin Smiles Dentistry. The people are awesome, the facility is great and to top it all off they take Tri-care (my insurance)!!! Going to Dublin Smiles at the new Tralee Village has made me feel a sense of partnership in caring for my dental health by people who respect my time enough to be ready and waiting for me upon arriving in an office with "tomorrow's" equipment. What can you say about going to the dentist. It's not usually on my favorite things to do. However Dr Liao makes it enjoyable. Her new office is great and in a convenient location. She is very personable and friendly and she is a great dentist. My mother also saw her for a uncomfortable denture (that was fitted by another dentist). We just visited the office of Drs. Liao & Dr. Siao for a second opinion consulation. My husband and I went to a dentist in Las Vegas and she gave a treatment plan that will cost a fortune. We decided to look for a new dentist here in Dublin and found Dr. Liao who is very accomodating enough to take us and did exams on our teeth. She patiently explained what needs to be done, and they were less than the Vegas dentist scope of treatment. She spent time with us and we really admire her way of treating people like how she wants to be treated. Her staff are very courteous and love to talk to. Her office is very sanitary, have the state of the art equipment and very impressive. We couldn't be happier with the way they deal with patients.
