Dr. Green & Dr. Glasser's practice is the best! Both doctors are amazing, as well as all of their dental hygeinists and office staff. They really came through for me when I needed a veneer that my insurance wouldn't cover, and everywhere else I went wanted to charge a fortune. They worked with me on the price and made it VERY affordable. The veneer is amazing and they even had me get it custom shaded. The cleanings are very thorough and painless here too. Everyone is really nice here which is a pleasure. Lastly, I've never been to a more prompt doctor's office. I'm always seen within 2 minutes of walking in; it's really impressive and convenient! Dr C. Was nice and the root canal wasnt that bad. First time there. They said they had my ins. Info from my regular dentist when i came in. Checked to make sure Dr was in network and the root canal was covered. Paid the $100 at the time of service that i owed. A month or so later i started receiving harrasing emails & text messages saying i owe over $1k! Called my ins co. They never even receieved a claim. Called the smilist and the woman was rude! Work on your people skills. If you're not sympathetic to this type of craziness you shouldnt be answeing phones. She claims the claim was sent on day of service and it will be resent but the bills won't stop. Why? Why do i have to be harrased about a bill i will not owe. I had two appointments here, one cleaning, and one filling. The cleaning seemed to be very thorough but it was painful and i was not a fan of the technique where the hygenist picks at your gums to see if they bleed. my teeth hurt for weeks after this. there is also a big push to get invisalign here so they will ask you about it no doubt multiple times. their phone message system doesn't seem to be coordinated with their online check in system so even if you provide your health and insurance information beforehand, you will probably still receive texts daily leading up to the appointment telling you that you haven't. As far as the filling procedure itself it was painless and the dentist was very accommodating, however it seems like the office is a little busy at times and they are pushed to cut corners. there were several interruptions while my filling was being done by other staff members inquiring about how much longer it was going to take. In the end it seems like my filling was rushed because it was very rough and protruded to the point that it was pressuring the adjacent tooth and caused sharp pain. I ended up having to get it fixed about a week and a half after while i was on vacation. Overall I would say this is not a bad office but you need to be aware and always advocate for yourself. If something feels wrong, tell them otherwise they will gladly send you off. read more

Like most people, going to the dentist isn't my favorite, but I understand it's an essential part of maintaining good oral hygiene. My hesitation comes from a past experience where a dentist tried to pressure me into unnecessary treatments, using scare tactics to justify extra charges. That experience left me feeling uneasy about dental visits, but I still recognize how important they are for overall health. With that being said, HERE WE GO: Front desk - 4/5 - they said there was an issue with my insurance. I told them there wasn't and it was the same. They insisted I had to pay out of pocket for my cleaning. I assured them this was incorrect (I only booked the appointment because I had two cleanings for free per year from my insurance). The gentleman at the front desk checked again and again, realized something wasn't "coded" correctly (I don't know what that means), and told me the appointment was covered by insurance. I was considering giving 1 stars because of this, but the fact that he stuck with it and figured out the issue was assuring. The whole thing only took about 5-10 minutes of awkward haggling, but we got there. (I think this issue probably could have been rectified beforehand. Please check my insurance BEFORE I come to let me know there is some issue, no?) Hygienist - 5/5 - I think she could tell I didn't want to be there. I had my headphones on and grimaced every time she went into my mouth. She was courteous, efficient, and I know she did a good job because my mouth definitely felt cleaner afterwards. Doctor - 0/5 - This is where it gets weird. After the hygienist finished, she told me I have to wait for a check in with the doctor. After waiting what feels like an unnecessary 15-20 minutes, the doctor comes in. This is how the conversation goes: Dr. Rob: Hello, what nationality are you? ME: ? ? ? Dr. Rob: Where are you from? ME: I am from here. (this is true. I was born in NY. Nothing else matters) Dr. Rob: (doesn't get the hint, I don't feel like discussing pedigree) (insists) No, where is your family from? ME: South America. Dr. Rob: (continues prying) Ok. What do you do for work? ME: (Please just tell me my teeth are fine so I can GET OUT OF HERE) Law. Dr. Rob: Nice, either you're doing well for yourself or you have a lot of debt? ME: ? ? ? (I'm being pranked right?) *Note for the next part. I have a bridge in the back left of my mouth that was put in when I was like 20. I am now 37. My first visit, I asked if it should be removed, and was told, "If it isn't broken, don't fix it." Bunch of con artists. Tried overcharging me for two fillings and ended up giving me a "free" evaluation despite having unknowingly had a full evaluation during my cleaning at the commack location. An evaluation they felt needed to be done less than 3 weeks after my cleaning/evaluation at Commack. Now I can't get an evaluation done for the rest of the year under my insurance and no other place will see me without an evaluation of their own. Would give zero stars if I could. I am a former patient of the Huntington location, I went there for years and never any issues, especially with scheduling. Ever since they closed and i've been going to Commack (or TRYING to go there I should say), its been nothing but a huge frustrating nightmare!. I've seen my hygenist once but since then I had one mishap when I ran all the way to Commack from my job in Hicksville only to be told I wasn't on the schedule! I had a card proving someone gave the me the apppointment, but still they insisted it was a mistake. The guy at the desk made me a new appointment for which I had to wait over a month and I just called and the girl told me they were going to call me because now this appointment needs to be cancelled because there wont be a hygenist. Really? When were you going to tell me this? When I got to the office again like last time? She said the guy that scheduled it was new and didnt know any better. Great. This is very concerning because they seem extremely disorganized and unreliable. Staff does not do what they promise. You feel like a "number" as a patient because you are. This is a chain and the quality suffers because it is so big. And good luck getting any billing issues resolved. Finally, you will be harassed with TEXTS, PHONE CALLS, EMAILS and MAIL for billing. And when you book an appointment, you are texted, called and emailed multiple times just to confirm the appointment. Updated 10/5/20 I really loved this place (see prior review). I came here several times over the summer for a variety of appointments (fillings, cleaning, crown, bonding). I was nearing the end of the dental treatment plan and had an appointment for my last crown. My appointment started 25 minutes late, I sat in the chair, started doing the rinses. The assistant came in and said "I have a bad question to ask". Really strange way to word a question to a patient. Then asked if I had gotten work done elsewhere. Which I had not, as I literally was going to this place almost every 2 weeks during the summer getting my teeth fixed. She said my insurance denied the claim. I have no idea why they didn't know this information until a half hour into my already scheduled appointment ?! They weren't sure why the claim was denied and then left me in the chair for another half hour while they were on the phone. They came back to say they were still on hold and asked what I wanted to do, I was already in tears and I figured the allotted time for my appointment was almost up anyway and that there was another patient coming in and I figured they weren't going to have time to do the crown so I left. They NEVER followed up, it's been over a month. So I don't know why my claim was ever denied, and I was never offered the option to just pay for the service. I wasted an hour that day in the office and I was so embarrassed by the ordeal. I guess they don't care too much about my business. I will be having my work finished elsewhere. First off, I rarely write a review but feel compelled to write one about my Dentist and their staff. My wife and I have been coming to this office for many years and we have never had any issues about the professionalism and quality of the work of these dentists. The staff and dental hygienists are always friendly and really treats us like family. Last night I had an appointment to have a cap done and a cavity filled. Dr Glasser walked me though the entire procedure before hand, let me know how things were proceeding and always asked me how I was doing during the drilling process. My family and I have been using this practice for about 20 years. Unfortunately I am now leaving for several reasons. The receptionist and office manager have become very snippy lately which I find offensive and disrespectful. I also had an emergency this weekend and they totally mishandled the situation by bringing me in for an appointment and telling me I needed a root canal and referring me to an oral surgeon. I went to oral surgeon, only to find out that oral surgeons DON'T do root canals. In addition, I asked repeatedly for Dr. Glasser to call back and he did not. I called back several times and he finally got on the phone and screamed at me about how I should have had the tooth in question pulled out 20 years ago! At this point I am having a dental EMERGENCY and excruciating pain today, what are you going to do for me NOW besides tell me about what I should have done 20 years ago!? No apology for how things were handled, lack of appropriate social skills on his part as well as his front desk staff. To me the truest indication of a quality medical professional is their compassion, the way they handle emergencies, and their responsiveness to a request for a phone call.
