Free parking in the lot is a huge plus. The shop is pristine - cleanest barbershop I've walked into. The barber's are craftsmen - these folks take their art very seriously and it shows by the expressions on everyone's face when they leave with that fresh cut. Big shout out to my barber Mr. Viggs. He's one of those "measure twice - cut once" kinds who is attentive to detail and takes his time - ideal traits to have in your barber! I thought about this for a few days now and I feel this would be counter productive. Conflict resolution is a process where open dialogue and facts are used to come to an understanding or agreement. With this said; the following is the "Mission Statement" of Precise Barber Shop: "We are a barbershop who strives to make the costumers experience the best possible. Our professionalism is exceptional and outstanding above others." This statement comes from their Yelp page under "Learn More About Precise Barber Shop". Mr. Christian J, obviously you read my review. I was "Not Happy". At no time did I feel "experience the best possible". I did not get a good hair cut. I was not happy with my hair cut. This is not my first bad hair cut. I have had many in my lifetime and I will continue to get a bad one from time to time, but at no time did I receive "...professionalism is exceptional and outstanding above others" by you in your response or by the barber who had to notice that I was not happy. If somebody would have just said "dude sorry. Maybe we can do this or that to fix the issue". Nothing. Just attacks on how I look by you, on my comments I made and that my exaggerations must be lies. Mr. Christian J you added a second comment; something about coming back and 2 free hair cuts. This comment was sent to me at 11 AM on 10.19. Your first feedback came in at 12:16 AM on the same day. So let me just start by saying I don't know much about men's haircuts. I mean, I don't think many…read morewomen do.. but since I have a son who's getting older and more conscious about his haircuts I decided to stop having my son suffer from those bad haircuts from places like, great clips, Supercuts etc. (no offense to them). Usually his dad takes him to the barbershop that he goes to but there are times I have to take him instead. Which is why I decided to try this barbershop that was recommend by a friend. I made an appointment with Chris, who is extremely professional, friendly, and understanding since my schedule is hectic at times. We arrived about 10 minutes earlier just because I wasn't sure how hard it might be finding parking in the area but that wasn't a problem at all. There was a lot of street parking around but always make sure to pay attention to the street sweeping signs. As we walked in we immediately felt the cool breeze of the AC which felt pretty great since it was very warm outside. The barbershop has a very clean, neat & modern look, which I really liked. Two big TV's on the walls which I believe it's a nice touch especially when the games are on. I'm sure no guy wants to miss their sports just because they're getting a cut. The waiting area has tons of magazines to read while you wait & they also have a small fridge with water. I definitely liked how Chris took his time with my son's haircut you can really see how these guys are experienced and take pride in their work without pretentiousness and all in a fair price. My son was VERY happy with his haircut and immediately told me that next time I take him to get a haircut it has to be back to this barbershop! I might not know much about fades, cuts, whatever but I am very detailed oriented so of course the first thing I did was to take a look closely all around my son's new haircut and everything was indeed PRECISE. Had a Full Signature Haircut including consultation & beard/stache trim with Walter and I had a…read morewonderful, educating experience. I was looking for professional guidance on what to do with my short mustache/beard that I've been sporting since 4 years ago along with longer hair style and Walter first gave me a good 20-30 min education on how I should manage mine (after also asking questions along the way of what I'd be comfortable sporting) + his take on how I should wear my hair & beard. Then he proceeded to do a light hair cut explaining since the length is perfect there wasn't a lot to do externally, but trimmed / layered the inside and cleaned up sides & neck while giving valuable advice to grow out the back inner hair a bit so that my hair would have more fuller look. Then he showed me how to trim my mustache w/ the clipper before showing me how to draw the mustache/beard line using his surgical grade straight razor. I appreciated how he thoroughly explained it so that I can also do that maintenance at home. He showed me comparison from one side to another which wasn't done yet, and the difference was more stark than I imagined - very clean cut and the definition just came through in my overall look. For those wondering, his studio is in this residential apartment looking (but an older sugar factory converted to mixed use building) mid-rise building, so you can park at the rear left lot of the Brownstone Pancake restaurant letting the valet guys know you're going to the barber, park behind that building (NOT the brownstones building) which has a dry cleaner on the first floor, come around the River Rd side and enter from the front entryway with awning over it. I was very happy with this experience and Walter's professionalism - he's a very likable gent to speak to. I should say there was a counter of spirits... not sure if he offers it to members only but I might ask him for it next time haha. If you love to get your men's grooming done right while learning a lot of useful information to take you to the next level, please don't hesitate to go see Walter. I'll definitely see him time to time to maintain as I grow out my look. Highly recommended.
