I want to thank Mr. Christian J. of Precise Barber Shop; the Business Owner; for reading my review and commenting. It is very important to me that management and/or ownership responds to good reviews, as well as reviews with opportunities. I was going to address each point made by Mr Christian J in detail. I thought about this for a few days now and I feel this would be counter productive. Conflict resolution is a process where open dialogue and facts are used to come to an understanding or agreement. With this said; the following is the "Mission Statement" of Precise Barber Shop: "We are a barbershop who strives to make the costumers experience the best possible. Our professionalism is exceptional and outstanding above others." This statement comes from their Yelp page under "Learn More About Precise Barber Shop". Mr. Christian J, obviously you read my review. I was "Not Happy". At no time did I feel "experience the best possible". I did not get a good hair cut. I was not happy with my hair cut. This is not my first bad hair cut. I have had many in my lifetime and I will continue to get a bad one from time to time, but at no time did I receive "...professionalism is exceptional and outstanding above others" by you in your response or by the barber who had to notice that I was not happy. If somebody would have just said "dude sorry. Maybe we can do this or that to fix the issue". Nothing. Just attacks on how I look by you, on my comments I made and that my exaggerations must be lies. Mr. Christian J you added a second comment; something about coming back and 2 free hair cuts. This comment was sent to me at 11 AM on 10.19. Your first feedback came in at 12:16 AM on the same day. Did you feel something "may be wrong". Obviously, something changed your mind. Anyway, Mr. Christian J, I am not looking for any compensation. I wish you and your staff to have a striving business. Small businesses are the backbone of our community of Cliffside Park. I am a strong supporter of local business. Feedback is an important part of business; both good and bad. PS. So let me just start by saying I don't know much about men's haircuts. I mean, I don't think many women do.. but since I have a son who's getting older and more conscious about his haircuts I decided to stop having my son suffer from those bad haircuts from places like, great clips, Supercuts etc. (no offense to them). Usually his dad takes him to the barbershop that he goes to but there are times I have to take him instead. Which is why I decided to try this barbershop that was recommend by a friend. I made an appointment with Chris, who is extremely professional, friendly, and understanding since my schedule is hectic at times. We arrived about 10 minutes earlier just because I wasn't sure how hard it might be finding parking in the area but that wasn't a problem at all. There was a lot of street parking around but always make sure to pay attention to the street sweeping signs. As we walked in we immediately felt the cool breeze of the AC which felt pretty great since it was very warm outside. The barbershop has a very clean, neat & modern look, which I really liked. Two big TV's on the walls which I believe it's a nice touch especially when the games are on. I'm sure no guy wants to miss their sports just because they're getting a cut. The waiting area has tons of magazines to read while you wait & they also have a small fridge with water. I definitely liked how Chris took his time with my son's haircut you can really see how these guys are experienced and take pride in their work without pretentiousness and all in a fair price. My son was VERY happy with his haircut and immediately told me that next time I take him to get a haircut it has to be back to this barbershop! I might not know much about fades, cuts, whatever but I am very detailed oriented so of course the first thing I did was to take a look closely all around my son's new haircut and everything was indeed PRECISE. I've been going to this place for a little more than year. Deuce is my barber and I wanted to leave a review on here for them even though I just moved away and probably wont be able to make it back there for some time. This place is a no frills mens barber shop. The barbers talk, yell, laugh, and joke around but their hair cuts are on point. Deuce is the only guy I trust to give me a top notch skinfade, I never have any irritation on my neck, never get any cuts or scratches. Deuce takes his time to make sure he gives his clients the quality service they deserve, he is very good at making you feel like your part of the family in this shop. 2nd visit: Few same and different experiences this time around. Chair 1, again empty; must be BOSS! Joe was on time, he was just finishing up his meal in between. Cordial as the first time around. Finally found a good barber shop in the neighborhood. Tried all the barbers at least once by now and they're all good. Appointments can run late sometimes, but they do take their time getting the haircut right for everyone, so I don't mind being patient. Would definitely recommend. read more

I came here for a cut while I happened to be in the area. I so wish that this ave was closer to where I live, because I would be here every time I need a new fresh look. I just walked in and told the guy (I wish I remembered his name) that unwanted a fresh new look, but still maintain the comb over look I rock. He surprised me with a nice cut. I went here last year for a cut. I really do not remember the name of the barber. He was great. He did an amazing job and took the time to make sure the end result was as expected. The booking was a bit annoying though. They did not have available times for when I was calling. I tried to go back here a few months after to get another cut but they did not have anything available for like a good whole week. I really couldn't wait that long so I went elsewhere. I tried going as a walk-in at some point too but that did not work at all either. They do not seem to take walk-ins too often. I mean, the quality of the work is great and they do take their time with clients, so this could make some sense why they try not to overbook. It was just strange that there was an empty chair and a barber with no client when I showed up as a walk-in. I would recommend this place as long as you dont need a cut right away and dont mind having to plan way ahead of time for it. Like I said before, the cut was great and I was extremely satisfied. Not very good with the appointments. Nice haircuts but I like when people respect my time. I was going here for a while and wrote a good review but I had to update it. Several times I had to wait half hour after my appointment time or I schedule something early and the place is closed. read more

Just moved to the NJ area and needed to find myself a barber, I tried 3 other locations in the area, they we're not very good and very expensive. I was a walk-in, Duece trimmed my Goatee and shaved my Bald head. He did a great job, very professional and has great skills. I found my new Barber and Barbershop in my new city. read more

I took my son here for a cut. I didn't have an appointment and they took us with no more than a 10 min wait. Great barbershop. Just moved back to NJ and wanted to find a place close by to get a great haircut. Read some great reviews on yelp and called for an appointment. All the barbers are friendly, telling jokes, talking about sports. As for the haircut, these guys are professionals. My barber, Joe, took his time and made sure I got what I wanted.
