They called me back 15 minutes later and said they would honor the price. The aesthetician wore latex gloves the entire time that were a size too big at her... so the only thing I could smell was latex in the sound of that rubbing up against my face. I'm pretty sure she just used soap and water. I asked for a deep cleansing facial, she "cleansed" my face for no more than 2 minutes, max. She was washing my face, rinsing out the washcloth a bowl of dirty water that she had removed the scrub from. She would leave the room for 5 mins at a time and in the salon, the owner (?) was walking around talking on speakerphone... the least relaxing environment I have ever been in. I paid to have a face mask put on, it would've been a heck of a lot cheaper if I did it at my house. Finally, I went to check out and there was a miscellaneous $10 charge. There was no mention of "additional charges" when I was on the phone yesterday discussing the price. I think my skin looked better when I walked in. Super unhappy, would absolutely not return.

This was ok since I didn't have any immediate plans, but if you have a busier day, I would recommend setting up an appointment prior to your service. I opted not to have a pedicure but to only have a polish change because the basin and chair I was assigned to were not the cleanest. Luckily, I had a scarf which I placed on the chair and sat on. I will however give credit to the technician for using a new packet of tools (nail file, cuticle pushing tool, nail buffer). I observed that this was the standard for each customer. My technician stopped my service in twithout notice to go and get groceries outside and bring them inside to the back of the establishment. The technician was helpful with helping me pick a color. The one I picked would have been too light. I requested a square shape but got a round shape. I don't hate it, but it wasn't what I asked for. The technician offered me a water after the service on my way out. They have a rewards program. After 10 visits, you can either get a free manicure or eyebrow or lip wax. I would try this service again with an appointment and on a less busy day.

I've been coming to EWC for 15+ years and since new ownership of the Westport center, it's increasingly become worse at customer service. I had an issue last Friday where part of my appointment was given to another customer. I had an appointment with my waxer from 5 weeks prior. She wasn't in for that appointment so I rescheduled to the following week. When I arrived, front desk said she wasn't in and I'd have to use another waxer. I grudgingly agreed and then I saw my waxer. So, basically, the front desk lied to me. They agreed that I could see my waxer but only for 3 of my services, not the fourth. I had to see a different waxer for that. They put me in with someone who as only been waxing for a month and left more hair than she removed. I didn't notice until I was home as the light in there is terrible. I have left 4 messages for the manager and have received NO response. When I called again today they said, she'd get back to me in the next week! It's already been a week. The customer service there is awful. Update to my review. The manager, Tiffany called me today and was extremely professional and helpful. Hopefully she can impart some of that good customer service to the front staff and they can feel better empowered to make decisions that are at their customer's best interest. Thank you Tiffany.
