I had some time on the afternoon of my visit so I popped in for a pedicure and toe polish change. I did not have an appointment. I waited for 35 minutes. This was ok since I didn't have any immediate plans, but if you have a busier day, I would recommend setting up an appointment prior to your service. I opted not to have a pedicure but to only have a polish change because the basin and chair I was assigned to were not the cleanest. Luckily, I had a scarf which I placed on the chair and sat on. I will however give credit to the technician for using a new packet of tools (nail file, cuticle pushing tool, nail buffer). I observed that this was the standard for each customer. My technician stopped my service in twithout notice to go and get groceries outside and bring them inside to the back of the establishment. The technician was helpful with helping me pick a color. The one I picked would have been too light. I requested a square shape but got a round shape. I don't hate it, but it wasn't what I asked for. The technician offered me a water after the service on my way out. They have a rewards program. After 10 visits, you can either get a free manicure or eyebrow or lip wax. I would try this service again with an appointment and on a less busy day. read more

Lucky, Lucky Nails was not lucky for me. They were pleasant and welcoming, but the manicure I got was less than stellar. I asked for round tips and I received sort of round. They ended up being straight across with a rounded edge. Also, on one hand, the left side of the nail was longer than the right. The nail technician asked me if the shape was what I wanted after she'd clipped it and then shaped it wrong with the file. When she put on the polish, she didn't go all the way to the cuticle and it looks like a one week old job when I just had it today. Another better technician would have put on a third coat of color. This was one of the worst manicures I have ever had. I came to CT for a 2 week vacation. I did my nails myself and knew that they should be done after a week. I should have brought my kit with me and done it myself. So much for using local merchants. read more

Yesterday I had the best experience at this nail salon as searching for a nail salon this was the 3rd one I went to not only did they seat me right away they were able to do my acrylic and gel Polish within 35 minutes perfectly. My judge of a good nail place is when I walk in and like everyone else they say "Color's on the wall." Went in on Sunday morning without an appointment. Was immediately greeted by a warm friendly woman who showed me to a chair. Two hours later I had my spa pedicure and gel manicure completed to perfection. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt & come back a second time just for the same thing to happen to me twice !! they would literally start my nails and then just stop and leave me sitting for over 30 minutes. The salon does from what I have experienced so far a good job. I have refrained on commenting about the prices. However there is a lack of transparency as to what is posted vs charged. When questioned about the bill, there are reasons given as to why the charge is different. This must be done prior to the service being provided. For example the nail polish change is on the board for $10. I was charged double because I have fills and it was considered a manicure. News to me. I've been coming here for months for acrylic nails. It's been mixed, it depends on who you get doing them. One of the gentlemen is very sloppy, rushed, and always trying to get you to spend more. I waited for 40 minutes for a fill, he did it in 20 minutes. He did such an awful job someone else had to re-do it for me. I was there for a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Love this place. I normally get powder manicure and one of the more expensive pedicures since I'm on my feet all day. They do a great job with both. Everyone is super friendly and they recognize me when I come in. They do a free two minute massage and offer water or tea. There was hot towels, lotion, hot stone, a steamer, & a 15 minute massage. They also took of so much dead skin . They're gel powder manicures are really good also. At the end they dip your hands in wax and wrap it up. They also give aloe lotion and vitamin E oil. They also have some sort of membership card where after 10 visits, you get $10 off. After two experiences here, I am pretty comfortable saying that I will continue coming here. For the area, the prices are amazing and they do a really good job (much better than other high-scale, expensive places that I've been to). While the place itself is nothing fancy, they have all the basics. The first time I came here, I got a powder manicure for the first time and it stayed on really well. In fact, I went back four weeks later to get it removed it there wasn't a single chip in it. Their powder manicure is cheaper than most gel manicures that you'll find in the area. Highly worth it. During my second visit, I got a gel manicure. While I don't know yet how long this will last, they said that if anything happens to it within two weeks, they're fix it for free (same with the powder). So it's pretty obvious they stand by their work. Everyone is so sweet here and you're always greeted with a smile. Last time I told my tech that I was unhappy with the color and he told me it was too late to fix it and I spent $50 on something I was really unhappy with. I swung by for a quick (or what I thought would be quick) gel manicure. They advertise $20 which is pretty cheap for the area. I was seated right away but after 2 minutes my nail technician left to go do someone's pedicure. I waited there for at least 10 minutes and literally almost left. Unfortunately, someone noticed me packing my stuff up and told someone else to take over. He was in the middle of someone else's manicure at the time and completely abandoned her, too! He did an okay job. Definitely was rushed, only did 2 coats of polish, and hastily dealt with my cuticles. The place was extremely hot - no air conditioning, and it looked dirty. I saw bits of skin from previous customers on the counter. DISGUSTING. You get what you pay for I guess...
