I was visiting North Star with friends and as a group fitness junkie, I signed up for the week-long pass at TMF. I was welcomed warmly by Holly, the co-owner. She gave me the perfect little orientation with zero sales pitch, made me feel right at home, and then she jumped right into teach our class. I took Lower Body Strength, Body Pump, HITT and Core Strength over a few days and wished I could stay longer to try more, including the immersive spin class (think spin bikes in front of a movie screen - how cool). I also did a body composition analysis with Holly and wish I had time to use the infrared sauna. Virginia and Holly taught the classes I took. I really appreciate how much time Virginia spent with me to ensure I was lifting properly during HIIT (which was awesome and challenging!). Everyone was super friendly, including the class regulars. It can be intimidating to walk into a new gym and try to merge into group fitness, but everyone made me feel right at home. I will go back every time I'm in North Lake Tahoe.
