We visited The Palms Spa on a Monday before heading back home to California. We decided to check it out because they were offering a special -- a 50-minute massage for $99. We also added a mask for $45 and were excited to take advantage of the spa amenities. First impressions were great -- the space is beautiful when you walk in and feels upscale and relaxing. After checking in, you're taken to the locker areas where you can shower, use the sauna, and enjoy the steam room. The men's and women's areas are separate but share a similar layout. However, we did notice some differences between the two sides. My boyfriend mentioned that the men's area had heated chairs and even towels in a bucket with ice to place over your face, which sounded like a really nice touch. In the women's area, there was a bucket of ice but no towels, and no heated chairs. It would've been nice to have the same amenities on both sides. Our massages were great -- we both really enjoyed them, and that was definitely the highlight of our visit. The therapists did an excellent job. This alone, i would give this a 10/10. That said, the overall spa experience felt a bit stressful at times. There was a manager who seemed very overwhelmed, running around trying to coordinate breaks and logistics. In the women's area, she was very focused on reminding guests not to get the wood floors wet, which I understand from a liability standpoint. However, there weren't towels placed outside the showers to dry off before stepping out, which made that request feel a little unrealistic. When I asked if I could quickly shower before my massage, I was told yes -- but to make sure not to get the floors wet when getting out. That added a bit of pressure to what's supposed to be a relaxing experience. Overall, I would recommend The Palms Spa specifically for the massage itself -- that part was wonderful. But if you're going mainly for the amenities and full spa experience, it may not fully meet expectations. read more

I just visited the spa this past Tuesday. I took my Bestie on a getaway. This was her first experience ever. When we arrived, they said my appointment time was an hour earlier and they were going to cancel the appointment but they would accommodate me this time. I actually went online days before and changed my appointment time one hour or two ahead so I could have time to enjoy the amenities before I went to dinner at the Filipino steakhouse that they have at the hotel called Scotch prime. We both got massages. I added a foot scrub and she added a CBD oil treatment. My massage therapist was really sweet. I really did like the massage but I would not recommend adding on the foot scrub as it was only just a foot scrub and it did not give you any extra time. In fact it obviously took away from my 50 minute massage to do the foot scrub with an additional charge. I came out five minutes earlier than my best friend. She came out so happy. She was in seventh heaven. She really loved her experience. My massage therapist name was Gleidys. I'm not sure what her massage therapist name was, but she really liked her a lot. As far as the amenities go, we were alerted just after booking that the Jacuzzi was not going to be available. We sat in the dry steam, which was fine, but when we got to the wet steam, it was not working so we had to go and get the spa attendant, which was an elevator down to locate. There was not another soul in there until we were leaving. There was one lady. She did not sit with us. She was just going back to get her treatment probably or maybe escorted to another lounge. There was a waiting room that we were briefly in for no more than three minutes and it had a lot more snacks and drinks available. It was a good thing my Bestie loaded up on them because we were not allowed to sit there after our treatment. We were escorted back down to the main coed lounge. There is not a separate pool for the spa so you would've had to just go back in the crowded pool with all the other hotel guests so there was no way I was getting in that. All the lounge chairs were filthy. They were a light beige color and they were so dingy. It's a shame that someone couldn't take a steam cleaner to them and get them looking better as we know, Spa prices are quite expensive. In the main lounge, they just had a little trail mix that was tasteless and some waters. However in the brief lounge that you get to sit in before your treatment, they have an assortment of juices some pretzels and some trail mix. Also, when we got to the showers, we did not get any warm water. It was a cold shower even though we once again went to go get the spa attendant one floor down and she told us to turn on the water which we couldn't figure out how to turn on we had to push in both faucets which did work, but we did not get any hot water. The showers flooded. We went to try to go get the spa attendant a third time, but she never came up to see the flood. They did have toiletries, but they were the cheapest of the cheap. I would assume this is the quality that you would receive in jail or prison. I've worked at many luxurious spa's and I have never once seen anything like this. When we came out, we went to turn in the robes and the spa slippers and told The spa attendant that was out there in the lobby before you get to the elevator that it was flooded and he said it's been an ongoing problem. I would've gave them one star, but the receptionist seemed understanding of our concerns and the massages were good. read more

The women's locker room area seemed small only a sauna ,steam room and showers . There is a co ed room for lounging. I wished there was a whirlpool to relax in but all in all it was clean and nice . I recommend the Neechelle for facial. She did amazing job the young lady who did my massage kind of horrible Daneicy almost lazy to me the WROST massage ever. I ask for some tea. She said there was no tea. She could appoint me in the right direction for tea, cause it's down in the Whirlpool area. They didn't have it in the waiting area. Amongst juices, sodas and water and light refreshments, and the same thing is in the Whirlpool. They could have did better by keeping it tidying up in the ladies room area, I had to ask for some of the complimentary amenities. They didn't keep stock up. I didn't get a tour until an hour to my next session which should have happened when I first arrived. So I shop around and since I was staying at the Orleans I thought I would check out the Spa at the Palms hotel and casino . It's a small Spa with your usual amenities. Jacuzzi which was out of order , steam room , showers and some complementary bottle water . Just before your appointment you'll be escorted into another waiting room which has bottle water, orange juice, apple juice pineapple juice along with caramel popcorn and some trail mix . I really wanted to like the spa at palms but the experience was mediocre for the price. My husband and I love getting massages but this was the first time that our massage therapists used a massage gun on us. I mean if I wanted that, we could do that at home. They also cut our massage time short. When we went to the coed lounge, we asked the attendant if they have alcohol available for purchase, surprisingly they did not. A pleasant experience all around! I booked the Hyaluronic Marine Facial and felt pampered for two hours. The esthetician was super friendly and warm and I could tell she knew what she was doing, which I really value. The robes are super plush and I loved even sitting in the Men's Room for the small/private yet deluxe steam room and sauna and hot stone seating area. We came as three girlfriends for Swedish massages and had a wonderful experience! Honestly, for this level of service at this price--it's unbelievable. The jacuzzi was out of service during our visit, but if it's as good as everything else here, I can only imagine it's pure paradise when running. The sauna and steam room were spotless, with a refreshing eucalyptus mist. The relaxation room offered delicious tea, tasty snacks, and super comfortable lounge beds. The service was perfect from start to finish. The front desk host was so kind and attentive--helping us with everything. I especially remember the iced face towels: we took some before the steam, and within minutes after returning, they had already been refilled fresh and cold. The showers and getting-ready area are stocked with everything you could possibly need--shaving cream, hair ties, and all the little hygiene items you might forget. Robes were luxuriously soft, and the sheets on the massage tables felt heavenly. Now, the massage itself deserves its own praise. My therapist was Mercedes, and my friends raved just as much about theirs. They were polite, caring, and attentive. My massage was soft and gentle yet deeply relaxing and toning. Mercedes even took special care with my head massage--such a treat! The adjustable massage chair made every position perfectly comfortable. I was so relaxed that after the massage, I had a moment of forgetting where I was... then remembered, I'm in Vegas, and I just had the most amazing massage ever. There's a reason why this spa is only 3 stars and not higher like the other hotels. There is no jacuzzi in use anymore! I used to really like coming here as a local. My massage was amazing, I wish I could have gotten my masseuse's name, she was a wonderful kind woman and the massage was great. Amenities, not so much. When I told the front desk I was disappointed, because I had been there awhile ago, she just said they didn't advertise they had a spa anymore and that she just started working there, very unprofessional. It's too bad because I always raved about this place especially to my fellow locals, but the spa plus the front desk girl really changed my mind. Hi yelps! I came here for my birthday/engagement weekend and we decided to do a couples massage at the spa in the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. I would highly recommend this if you are in town! We also stayed at the Palms and we loved the experience. The rooms were excellent and the front desk was easy-going. The spa was beautiful and the service was amazing. Everyone treated you so well and you truly felt like royalty. We chose to do a one hour massage and we were escorted upstairs each to our lounges where we changed and met back to go to our rooms. The massage was excellent, very relaxing. I explained that I didn't want anything too intense and she definitely understood what I wanted both my husband and I enjoyed the experience. They made a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I didn't feel nothing uncomfortable, and the price was fair. I booked a group Spa'rty for my 40th birthday -- my first-ever spa experience -- and left feeling disappointed, stressed, and honestly embarrassed for choosing this place. The issues started early: no response to my outreach for two days, and when I finally got someone, they booked six of us together but left the seventh person scheduled 90 minutes later. She felt uncomfortable and canceled -- which should've been my first red flag. Despite multiple follow-ups with several different staff members (I spoke to eight in total), we never got the picnic info or food menu we were promised. On the day of, we arrived to confusion and zero communication about what the $20 spa'rty upgrade even included. Turns out it was just an eye mask -- which one of my guests who didn't even pay for the upgrade also got. The food situation was equally bad. We were told we couldn't order anything unless we left the spa (in robes!) to pick it up ourselves. Eventually someone brought us a printed-off internet menu and a blank piece of paper to write on. We gave up. Two hours in, we still hadn't been offered the champagne that was supposed to be part of the spa'rty. Someone finally remembered while we were in the sauna. It was laughable by that point. Also, the hot tub was out of service -- something I was never told when booking, even though reviews now show it's been down for months. The massages and facials were great -- no complaints there -- but everything else was disorganized, poorly communicated, and far from the elevated experience I was promised. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more. The staff did remove the spa'rty charge and gave a small discount, but that doesn't make up for the lack of communication, missing amenities, and overall awkward vibe (including being stared down by a staff member when we left). If you're just looking for a massage, you'll probably be fine. But if you're booking a group or expecting a special experience? I'd look elsewhere. read more

What a difference a year makes. One year ago when we came the attendant was very loud every time he came in to show each person the amenities. This time the attendant had the indoor voice in effect (yay!). Last time steam rooms on both sides were down but this time they both worked (yay again!). This spa is amazing and it is a hidden gem. I actually found a promotion that let us have the use of all the facilities in the jacuzzi, the steam room, the hot sauna, and a 50 minute massage for $139 a person. It's so much space for lounge and even a separate lounge area. A couple of drinks and snacks and me and my daughter made complete spa data out of it and it was very nice. Located in the palms hotel which is gorgeous. By the way, if I had a car I definitely would have stayed at the palms as well. Had a fantastic couples massage! Both my wife and I had a great therapist. Everything was clean and pleasant and ALL of the staff were very nice and professional. The jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, showers etc. were all very nice! Love all the cold bottled water, juices and fresh apples. Gym area was nice as well. We were able to take our time and there was no pressure. Many lockers to keep your stuff in. It was not cheap but it was worth the experience. My only issue was that the price quoted at booking was not the price that I was told at check in??? The receptionist figured things out and made the adjustment for me. Who doesn't need a spa day? I need as many as possible as they always help me clear my head, relax, and be able to get back into the daily grind of my crazy job. This spa is being transitioned to new management and they're still figuring things out. The menu is limited and only available at the hotel at this time. Currently massages, facials, nails, makeup & hair services are offered. I specifically came here for two reasons, a facial & massage. The Vitamin C facial was great. It'll leave your face feeling firmer and brighter. I also had a deep tissue massage which left me wanting to get back into bed and go to sleep which is exactly what I did and I love that feeling! I came here to recharge. A relaxing day was spent at this spa. It is very spacious. (3 stories) There is a lot to do. They even have a yoga room and fitness room as well. I had an Aloe body wrap.. Perfect for the summer time! The relaxation lounge was nice and relaxing. The robes and slippers were very comfy. I enjoyed the amenities such as a sauna, steam room, hot tub, and two lounges! The vanity area has everything that you need. I also loved the snacks in the waiting area. They have amazing cookies here!!! The spa is right next door to the pool and you have access all day to the spa til 7pm. :) The receptionist, Janae was pleasant and welcoming. I was there at the palms September 26th to celebrate my 50th birthday I had a cabana at the pool and was surprised with A deep tissue massage at 12 pm. The massage was a surprise so I rushed there to make it on time and I was on time a few minutes before 12 I get to the front desk the lady there was extremely nice and told me to go up stairs . I go upstairs and no one is there. I stand there. I'm not sure what to do. I see an elevator I try to go upstairs again to a third floor, but couldn't get the elevator to work so I walked back downstairs until the lady there there's no one upstairs am I supposed to go to the third floor? She's said no radioed someone on a headset and walked me upstairs that's where LUZ comes out of a door and the other lady leaves. Luz looks down without greeting me and says you're supposed to be here at 12 you are late it is 12:03 , I said I was here on time. No one was up here and had to go back downstairs so she mocked me and said"no one was here" I could not believe this. I was so furious. This is supposed to be a relaxing Happy day and instead of someone smiling saying I'm glad you made it. Sorry I wasn't here. That's how I got treated. She didn't say a word to me besides how to use locker and someone will come to get you when she told me which room to wait ,then my masseuse came quickly, and I was on my way to a massage that I could NOT enjoy at all because I was angry at the service that I had gotten prior even after the massage LUZ came and didn't say anything besides follow me as she was speaking to another lady on the way back to the bathrooms/lockers , no thank you no how was your massage? He is professional, kind, and an expert at what he does no matter what massage it from deep tissue to hot stone to aromatherapy to the signature massage and body treatment, eye masks, face masks, and the hypervolt. This spa is DEAD. No one going in or out. I tried to book a day pass on resort pass but they said they are no longer offering day passes and they forgot to take it off the resort pass website. So I wasted two hours of my life driving here, walking in and driving back. Snooty girl working the front counter with fake eyelashes has no customer service skills WHATSOEVER. I got my pedicure done, the pedicurist was super sweet but did not do a good job giving me the full luxury experience she sold me on because I went in doing a classic pedicure and she talked me into what she said was "better"because it comes with a eye mask and a scrub along with a massage .... She did not soak my feet into water instead she used a soaked cotton pad to wet my toes, she did not scrape under my toe nails nor did she trim the dead skin away. After polishing my nails she THEN started to fill the bowl with water so she can wash off the exfoliate soap. She finished off with a massage that was not relaxing at all. Came to 144 $80 for the pedicure $20 for the gel polish $20 more to remove the gel polish ... And then a $24 tip For that price I would like to say it was actually not worth the price. read more

Deep Tissue: Request Miss Maggie. I have to tell everyone. She is amazing. The "service cost" at the end will include a 20% gratuity this however is spread across the entire team. If you want to tip your therapist make sure to add additional $$$ to the checkout. Your therapist make a small % of the total cost of the massage. I added an additional $10. I haven't had a massage in a year and I have been disappointed in the past. Maggie will is a Lead Therapist. Every part of my body was put to ease. I enjoyed working out and sitting in the sauna and the guys working at the inside desk (fronting the workout room) were cool but I have an issue with one of the receptionists.... After I was done with my workout I sat on the couch near the receptionists' desk and because there were a bunch of pillows, I sat on one of them and the receptionist who is an African American female was very RUDE!... She yelled "You cannot sit on the pillows like that!" All I wanted to do was take a break and drink some water after my workout. I paid $100 to get in and she had no business telling me that I couldn't sit on the pillows!.... I don't see anything wrong with sitting on pillows! That receptionist was very degrading too!... She talked down to me like was stupid and that is NO way to treat your customers! I don't know what crawled up her ass and died! read more

I've had a long hiatus from actually reviewing businesses, yet I'm an avid Yelp user. Most Yelper's recommendations are always on point and unfortunately this spa has relatively few Yelp reviews, so I took a chance at visiting this spa during our trip. I actually spent several hours checking out our spa options and I did compromise for convenience because we're staying at Palms Place, they offered a deal on a couples' spa package, and the spa was recently re-imagined. I'm an avid spa-goer so I have an extensive basis of comparison. I would give this review a solid 2.5 stars if I had the option, but 3 stars is too many. First of all the positive points include: 1. Ambiance and interior design made it pleasant. This included the couples treatment room with awesome massage tables, super soft sheets, cozy robes, ambient lighting, and relaxing music. 2. Our therapists for both massage and facials had great personalities and we were happy with their skill level. 3. All staff was friendly. 4. The body wash and lotion smells amazing, think tropical coconut. Now for the the things this spa was lacking for this price point: 1. The special was for a spa package that was $520 which included a 50 minute massage and a 50 minute facial with some high end products, and two glasses of champagne with two chocolate strawberries. So for Las Vegas resort pricing, it was a better deal and I was able to share the experience with my hubby. Upon check in though, they charged us an extra "facility fee" that was over 25% based on what we actually spend. When I booked the appointment over the phone, I was NOT notified of this extra fee. Upon check-in I asked the receptionist if this fee included gratuities and she said yes and it's divided between everyone, think restaurant staff style. Well for such a huge fee, I wasn't tipping extra even if the therapists were phenomenal. Also, in the coed lounge they advertised this special on a framed card and it was for $485. I asked the receptionist why we were charged more and she said that it was cheaper in the beginning of the month and due to demand they raised the price. In my opinion that's a questionable business practice and the spa was mostly empty when we were there. 2. Again at this price point, the services were ok and we did leave relaxed, but the facial part was really weak. We're spending $135 each for the facial that did not include any facial standard things like extractions, steam, multiple masks, etc. It was basically hot towels, one enzyme mask, and a lot of massage. For me the facial was really a rip off for what it was. It did leave us both further relaxed. 3. The spa facility amenities were also subpar compared to other spas including Aria (which we loved). There is a co-ed lounge with lemon water, loose granola, and a tiny fruit platter that was never replenished. We asked for menus and the attendant gave us one, but never returned to take our order. Once you crossover into the respective gender areas, their is a spa with jets that are on super high that will tear a hole through your spine, super chlorinated water (I spent 3 minutes in it and gave up). There is a steam room, a sauna, and a heated tile lounge. No ice cold face towels for the steam room (had to make my own), no hooks for robes or towels, tiny dressing/locker area right by the entry door (no privacy), no separate area for drying hair and doing makeup, it's basically the sink area. Showers were even hard to figure out how to turn the water on. 4. We added on Himalayan Salt stones to our massage which was nice, but overpriced at an extra $50 for both of us. This extra upgrade added to the facility fee, so our $520 deal turned into a $718 spa appointment. The experience was average at best, but certainly not worth the money we spent. read more
