Love this spa but the first few spas I went to locally in Modesto for waxing services were horrible. I was at a loss until I found Danielle at The Spa Magnolia (she does an amazing job). The spa is visually clean, the staff is always super friendly, they use high quality products and they practice hygienic waxing methods(i.e. a new stick every time they dip it in the wax). If you're looking for a safe and friendly environment to get your waxing done I highly recommend this spa. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I started going to the Spa Magnolia about a year ago, My daughter purchased a gift certificate for a massage and facial. I took advantage of both, I booked the massage first and was very pleased with the experience. I then booked a facial and Mikaela was my therapist, Being an esthetician myself, I am always curious and a little critical of how other estheticians perform facials, but Mikaela was amazing!! She is very knowledgeable and really knows how to make the experience so relaxing. I have now been going to Mikaela every 6 weeks for the last year and I highly recommend her!! Updated review: I personally did not have a great first experience here, I think it was just a lack of education with the esthetician and her knowledge of doing a proper hydrafacial. However, my best friend has had awesome experiences getting deep tissue massages done here... The spa owner was also kind enough to transfer my credit from the products returned into my best friends account because I was not planning on using it... great to know it will go into good use. read more

Today was my first time at any salon for massage. I was a little bit nervous about doing this and was really contemplating on going but I decided to stick with it and give it a try. When I first walked in I noticed how quiet it was and how clean and nice the waiting area was. I then filled out some forms. And then they called me and my husband up for our hr massage. Still very nervous and anxious I walked in the room, my masseuse explained that we can undress up to our comfort. That was pretty awesome. Enrique did the best massage ever !!! I pretty much fell asleep multiple times. He was very kind and always asked if the pressure points where okay. I love coming to Maddie for my massages! She makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable and she really takes the time to figure out where I'm holding my tension and focus on the areas where I need it most. I came across this spa because it just happens to be in the same area where my job is, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was there last week for the Customized Red Carpet "Facial" for $150. And I must say, I was glowing by the time I left. I was told beforehand that this "facial" was 60 min long and included arm and neck massage. The esthetician was super sweet and she does have a lot of acknowledge. However, my face was only worked on for about 15 min out of the 60 min. Again, my skin was glowing (mostly due to the products they use) but this "facial" seems to focus on just the luxury of the warm bed, warm sheets, arm massage, neck massage (which I did not need). I've had a few facials in the past at other places for the same price and same amount of time. But the difference is, that the other places focused on my face for the entire 60 minutes!!! Unfortunately, I was not completely satisfied and will not be returning here for a facial. If you're looking for a facial, maybe check out other places that focus on your problem areas, and not this extra stuff. Again, this was not worth paying $150 for the esthetician to only work on my face for 15 minutes. read more

I had a massage with Lisa, who was outstanding in her technique and knowledge of the human body. It was by far and away one of the best massages I have ever had. It was certainly the best massage I have had in Modesto. She is a certified holistic health practitioner , very experienced and extremely well-educated. If you want an exceptional experience, body alignment, relaxation and pain relief, this is the place to go. How lucky we are to have this in our community . I get a sports massage and lumiderm facial every month to help me with medical issues and the girls here are just amazing. The massage therapist Lisa takes the extra time to check your posture and gait so she knows what to work on and has great scents, and Michaela is sweet and knows just what my sensitive damaged skin needs to get healthy again. Even though it is advertised for 50 minutes, I enjoyed at least 60 minutes with attention to detail on the facial treatment and tips on improving my skin care. Small, intimate environment allows for staff to really focus on making me feel "very special" - just what I need after the end of a long day. I've have had 3 facials there, all have been fantastic experiences. My esthetician really focuses on my needs (not the company menu) and I have seen such improvements in my skin. There is no rushing me through for the next customer. Everyone exhibits a relaxing professionalism.
