My boyfriend gave me a $100 gift certificate to come here for a massage last week, I opted for a deep tissue which it definitely was not, I asked for medium pressure because I'm a pretty petite young woman and she barely pressed on my back. I have had a deep tissue massage and that was not it. This was my first time at this spa and the check in process was very hectic, the girl at the front desk seemed rushed like she didn't have time to speak with me, I didn't feel welcomed. And as I left the massage room to pay, my boyfriend had mentioned the first massage service I get is only $65 and he got me $100 so I could also add something else small, but when check out she informed me that gift certificates cancelled out the "first time rate". This was not disclosed to my boyfriend when he got the certificate nor when I called to make the appointment. It wasn't even a Groupon he paid for it in cash, that doesn't seem like a great marketing tool seeing as I'm sure at least half of the new faces in this spa are brought there because someone purchased a gift certificate?! We had scheduled a couples cabana massage and when we got there the cabana area was not what we expected. Although, a jacuzzi was out there and an option for us although we didn't know that. It was very hot so they did offer to let us use a room inside instead of outside, so that was nice of them. The staff was very nice and friendly. We started at 2:15 and the massage was done at 3:05 so that wasn't a full hour. The therapist were excellent though very professional and friendly. We will come back to this spa the next time we are in the Orlando area. I do recommend this company for others to use as well. read more

The front desk staff is also so friendly accommodating (love the wine) and informative about the products they offer. Mahogany is amazing! I was telling her how worried I was about this Brazilian wax stuff, meanwhile I had gotten it done so many times before I had daughter. I told Mahogany that I had my daughter all natural, no epidural, yet I was still so scared about having a Brazilian wax again. I feel like once she heard that- she said girl you can handle this! She couldn't have been more right. She was fast and furious in a good way and I did not feel any pain! I signed up for a membership immediately and I will not go to anyone else but her at this spa. I have had a membership here for a couple of months and the service gets worse every single time. I waited 30 minutes for my previously scheduled appointment, was forgotten in the waiting room, then received a terrible paint job. The paint on my nails is uneven, paint on my skin, nails all filed in different shapes. Some square some rounded. Bubbles in my nails. I will never return. read more

I Have been to the Spa LLC, several times for massages. They have always been friendly welcoming and able to accommodate my time schedule. AS far as the Massages Go I have seen Raz 4-5 times. I am now pain free able to drive my truck for over an hour without hip back or neck pain. I am amazed at my increased flexibility, posture and overall sense of balance. WATCH OUT THIS "SPA" is dishonest in the monthly plan. They do not cancel the plan when requested. Then, the SPA continues to call and send a debt collection agency long after the cancellation. Definitely do not recommend this place! I have only been once but they have charged my card (required to make an appointment) several times for no reason. When I called they couldn't tell me why my card was charged months after I was there, and although they said they would look in to it I have yet to receive a return phone call. I have been looking at spas in the Orlando area to find a place to take my mother and sister before my wedding next month. This place is close by, so I took a tour. The decorations are ikea-esque, with a clean and modern feel that's also brightly lit and industrial feeling. They are big on promoting the all-you-can-drink aspect regarding wine and tea and champagne. There are two rooms for waiting, a "quiet" room and a room where you can use your cell phone. There is a back patio which is supposed to be getting a hot tub at some point, and a few chairs, but not much with the ambiance, again. Staff is all friendly though. There was an available appt for a facial that day (at half off) so I booked with Emily and came back that afternoon. I was promptly offered something to drink, and escorted to one of the waiting rooms. The "quiet" room is dark, but has uncomfortable chairs and the door stays open, so I was able to hear the music up front, the conversations across the hall, and the staff up and down the halls. Emily was a nice person, but really had very poor technique. She seemed nervous when talking to me about the service. The facial itself was pretty rough. Each time she ran her hands up to my forhead she dragged her fingers along my eyebrow, which opened my eyes to the lights every time. She also had a rough upward motion around the mouth, which served to open my top lip and wipe soap into my mouth. Was she even watching what she was doing? There was a lot of opening and closing of cabinets, which was distracting, as if she wasn't fully prepared for the facial. When she attempted a scalp massage, her fingers never touched my scalp but instead she rubbed my hair around which made it into a nice ratty mess. And she used some oil to rub on my shoulders, but again this got all over my hair and was so much that I had to wipe it off before I got dressed so I didn't get my clothes oily. When she was giving the shoulder/neck massage, her fingers came around and put pressure on my throat as if she was gently choking me each time. Overall some pretty terrible techniques. I won't be returning. This person needs to practice on people for free before charging someone to be greased, choked, and put soap in their mouth. I was going to mention it to the front desk but the secretary had her cell phone out in plain sight and then Emily also stayed at the front desk with me the entire time I paid so I would not have been discreet about it. read more

Just not worth it. I've gone three times now and just not been impressed. Perhaps it has been the particular people or the particular services. I had a massage and a few waxings (gift certificates to use). The first massage was so unpleasant, I waited several weeks before I went to a new masseuse. This guy thought he was a chiropractor and used his very large hands to try to manipulate my body even if I told him certain things were too unpleasant. Not at all relaxing or helpful for my muscles. The bikini wax was solid the first time, less so the second. The eyebrow wax failed...though much more noticeably awful the second time. I called to complain and they offered me a free eyebrow wax (once they grew back to a more normal, less freaky, shape) but I can't even imagine taking them up on that. Not worth the risk for me. People are friendly. The location in College Park is nice for convenience. It is less impressive inside once you look past the furniture. The carpet in the waxing room was dirty and dusty and the laminate floors are outdated and dingy. The weird waiting room seems an afterthought (the quiet room is better). They offer some bath scrubs and such that smell good and they carry Dermalogica if that is something you are interested in. Just not worth going back for me. read more

I recommend visiting here if you are looking for a consistent place to receive a massage without breaking the bank.The people were friendly and welcoming. My massage therapist was very kind and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. I appreciate their kindness and consideration of my needs. I have had massages prior so I was not as impressed with the massage table which was a bit flimsy, and overall I didnt feel as relaxed afterward as I find myself at other places. I go to The Spa for a full bikini wax on a regular basis. I won't go anywhere else. Emily is the best. Very professional, very thorough. She is also discreet, keeping you covered and only exposing the area that she's working on. She uses a high-quality soft wax that does not irritate the skin (and I have sensitive skin). She also stands outside the door after she's finished to allow you a minute to check her work, and she happily comes back in to fix anything if you find a spot she missed. I asked her to go over an area once, apologetically, and she insisted there was no need to apologize and she was glad I pointed it out to her and gave her a chance to fix it. She wants you to tell her, and she is determined to ensure you are happy before you leave her room. I even took my friend, who was getting a wax for the first time and was very nervous, and she loved Emily, too. Now she goes back on a regular basis, too. Finally, the price is very fair. They have a plan for regulars that allows you to save a lot of money if you go regularly. Honestly, I could keep going. Andy at the front desk is just excellent. He's so friendly, and he'll pour you a glass of wine while you're waiting to get your service. The wine is complimentary, and you can enjoy it while sitting in a peaceful area, relaxing until you go back for your appointment. This place is fabulous, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thought I'd take advantage of the 50% offers, so I made an appointment for a mani/pedi for $27.50. Unfortunately, I was having a bad morning (couldn't find my car keys, got lost) and ran late for my appointment. I called to let them know, and they said it was OK. I arrived 1/2 hour late and had the option of getting a manicure or pedicure since I was late, which I did understand because she had other clients scheduled. What I didn't understand was why I was charged the full amount ($27.50) instead of the amount for just the manicure since that's the only service I received. I don't think it's fair to pay the whole amount for half the service. The manicure was not worth $27.50. She did a mediocre job. Also funny to me how the receptionist tried to rationalize things and make me feel better by telling me I still got a great deal...lol read more

Do not sign up gor the Half Off Club!!! I first went because I received a gift certificate for my birthday. The service wasn't fantastic but it wasn't horrible either. I would say just middle of the road. The walls were very thin so it was hard to relax for a treatment when you could hear other things going on around you. I was told that it was best to sign up for the half off club and had to sign up then to receive the benefits that stay. They ensured me it would be easy to cancel when I wanted. I only went back once and never got the value of the membership because it was so small I could never get an appointment. I work crazy hours do can't make appointments weeks or even days in advance. But I couldn't even get in for a pedicure or polish change when I called the day before. Definitely NOT worth me paying a membership for as I was first promised it wouldn't be a problem. After the first quarter my credit card was charged twice "by mistake" then I cancelled after my free birthday massage (the last time I went which was a good massage although noisy). I was never told at that time that I needed to fill anything out. I called again a few weeks later just to make sure. They said no problem, took my name and number and said someone will call back if needed. Then my credit card was charged the next quarter. I called back and they said that nobody would have said that and unless it's in a formal cancellation letter it will not cancel my membership. I asked why that wasn't said when I was there or why I wasn't called back. And instead of having good customer service was then told I should have read the contract I signed 7 months ago as it states it there. I work in the hotel industry and have been in charge of a concierge team for over 8 years now and the matter should have been handled differently. I haven't used my membership at all the past 3 months so why not just take the charge off, apologize fir the miscommunication and let me leave as a semi-satisfied customer. But instead was told that nobody would have not told me about the contract. The spa prices may be cheaper to sign up for the half off club... But the issues to get out of it quite frankly is not worth it. Take your business elsewhere. There are too many deals on groupon and living social that don't require you to sign a contract. It may state in the contract that there needs to be written cancelation but when I speak to somebody and it isn't relayed that i need to do that...what kind of business is that?? Clearly a business that doesn't want referrals! Based on previous reviews I see this is a common thing with other customers and hope this helps the next misleads customer not to be as niece as I was that there are still good business practices out there that value the customer. Needless to say, I won't be back or telling any friends or Guests at my resort to use the The Spa when asked about services needed. read more

Beware of the "1/2 Price Club". It is a Scam. I became a member in 2010 and I stop going since December 2010. Never got a phone call from them saying that my membership was past due or even a certified letter. I just started getting phone calls from a collection agency saying that I owe them money. Also, I just find out they have moved and I wasn't even informed. They are trying to tell me that because they have called me 3 times and never got an answer, they decided to give my information to a collection agency. What kind of professionals are you guys? You need to inform your clients in different ways not through 3 phone calls. This is taking me by surprise because I wasn't aware of this at all. Never got a letter or call from you claiming this debt for the past 2 years STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND THE OWNER HAS NO MANNERS. Love this spa! When I arrived I was cheerful greeted by everyone. They really do make you feel like you are a welcomed guest. Loved all the charming amenities, from the beverage station, the relaxation rooms, to the the scented table where you can customize your massage with a scented body butter. All of this helps to set the mood for your spa services. I've had several massages and I have to say this was hands down the best massage I've had. The therapist really listened to my needs and customized my massage for how I was feeling. I can't wait to go back. My only complaint was that I should have booked a longer service. read more

We arrived and everyone here was really friendly. They gave us drinks (white wine). They had great homemade body lotions. They gave us a tour when we arrived and informed us of their membership club. They weren't uncomfortably push. The place was nice and clean. However, the manicure and pedicure was very lackluster. We were brought into the room 15 minutes after our appointment was supposed to start. A comment was made by my nail tech about how they brought us back late and how they had less time to do our services. The services seemed very rushed. My polished chipped the same night it was done and all I had done was drive. My friend's french manicure started chipping the second day. The pedicure was very, weak. My friend's chair didn't work and the pedicure was very bland. A quick scrub and paint. It was maybe fifteen minutes, MAX. Then we were done. We went in the drying room where my friend's chair worked and mine didn't. We were checked out and they asked me one more time about the membership. I am glad I had a Groupon because I definitely would have been upset paying the full $65 for the services. Again, the people were great but the services were medicore. So there are a few things I loved and hated about this particular spa. Some of the things I loved was how much more spacious it was inside than I imagined and it was decorated nicely which made it felt cozy. Upon arrival, I was offered a drink of wine, juice or water which is not offered at all spas so I thought that was nice! My nail technician was a very sweet lady and did a very decent job. However, the cons outweighed the pros. First con I decided upon were the color choices of gel nail polishes. Because of work I am required to wear a very neutral color so nudes or pale pinks were options I was thinking of. However, The selection was not very great so I only had two options a clear coat gel polish or a pink toned clear polish. I really wish there was a nude color that was suitable for my work place. I thought the owner was quite rude on the phone while making an appointment as well as speaking with him at the spa. I felt a hint of attitude when I asked questions and after declining an offer for the nail membership. This made me very uncomfortable throughout my visit. Also I felt the nail station was very unprofessional, it was messy and appeared to be a standard table and plastic chairs which were uncomfortable to sit in for a long period of time. My nail technician (I really wish I remembered her name) did not asked me about me about my nail shape like most places and painted my nail polish on very oddly. There were some nails that weren't completely painted and looked like they were outgrown near my cuticles. Overall my nails looked decent after the visit but because of the level of discomfort I will probably not return. read more

My massage was HORRIBLE. You can hear the people in the next room, and they tell you that you can change in the locker room? I am a female. What if a male wants to change in the room as well? They should have designated male and female locker room. And the "cabana"? You head peoples conversation on the street. And on top of that, i was thinking about getting into the "jacuzzi" until I felt the water and it was not even hot. I mean this is ridiculous. And I dont even think they clean it! Eww. I got a groupon for a manicure at The Spa as a gift. When I called for my appointment, the conversation was a bit awkward. When I got to the spa, there was one person at the desk checking out a guest and I wasn't sure if I should take a seat at the table, no one really acknowledged me at first. A woman came out and greeted me and gave me a clipboard to fill out personal info and then showed me products they were selling. Before I could finish the info page I was called for my nail appointment. Nan did my manicure and she was the sweetest! I had a great time with her and I love my manicure! The hot stone massage with the manicure is amazing! After my manicure I went to check out and the two people at the front desk were awesome! They were very sweet and we had a funny chat before I left. I can see why people become regulars at this place. I had a worst experience there. I bought a groupon and call the spa to make an appointment. I told the girl on the phone that i have the Groupon special and made a appointment. On the day of my appointment I drove 45 mins in traffic hour there, they told me that I can't use my groupon. I was very frustrated and tired, but helplessly, they told me there is nothing they can do. I will either have to join the member program to get the special pricing or pay full price. They told me that the they will cancel my appointment and since its their fault, they wont charge my credit card. The next day, i checked my credit card and they charge me $95 on my card!!!. I had to call them again to fix and ask for a refund. This is the most ridiculous experience happened to me and i just wanted a massage!. The management team needs to better communication skills and training on their new employees. I highly recommend DON"t go to this place. read more

So I am really torn as I write this review. My nail tech, Diamond was outstanding. Not only was she personable and made my nail experience pleasant, she is so talented with nails and I left with an amazing pedicure and manicure. So why the one star rating? Well, I couldn't base my rating on my experience alone as I had purchased a gift from Groupon for my niece so that she could experience a real day spa for the first time and splurged on the signature mani pedi thinking she would be pampered. Well, she got a mani pedi and did enjoy her service, though she did not get any of the services I paid for with the Groupon. Nevertheless I would have probably went with a three star rating except for my sister's experience.... That in itself was far worse than a one star. I didn't realize until just before leaving what happened with her. First, her nail tech (I think her name was Alexis) didn't do anything with her nails except file them, unevenly. Since my sister is visiting from out of town and I booked the service, she wasn't sure what I booked so didn't say anything. When it came time to the pedicure she did experience more of what she was used to with that but her nail tech dropped the nail polish on her shoes. She tried to clean it up w remover but it didn't work. She also kept piling the polish on her toes. I think what topped the experience for her was that when she tried to get up from the chair, there was Velcro that got stuck to her lace sweater and she couldn't move without ruining her beautiful sweater. Thankfully Diamond jumped to the rescue and was able to gently cut the frays from the Velcro so it didn't ruin her sweater. Now my sister was mortified and didn't really tell me most of this, only pointed out the fact of the nails that weren't even done. So when I went to the front to talk to someone they said they were too booked to fix her nails and just comped her visit. I was so distracted by this experience that I didn't pay attention that I wasn't charged correctly for my own first time special for $45 service and ended up paying $65. Between paying full price for mine and not getting what I paid for with the Groupon for my niece, I felt cheated. I don't know if it was intentional or an honest mistake but I booked these and was told at the time of booking that I would get the first time visit price and I verified the services upon arrival. I overlooked that the place was run down a bit and the relaxation room wasn't exactly relaxing. I've been to a lot of spas and I was saddened that this was my sister and her daughter's first experience. Initially my sister was going to treat me to my nail services for my birthday gift but after her experience I couldn't let her pay for me. This has been such an unsettling experience. Here it is five hours later and I can't stop feeling bad for her, my niece, and myself! I wish I hadn't bought that Groupon and just taken my niece somewhere else. read more

if you have dealt with Bally's Total Fitness, this was similar. I cancelled my membership (a membership someone originally gifted to me as a present) 2 years ago in person due to my travel schedule and family illness . I received a phone call from Andy (who apparently is the owner, but stated "Estrellita" from the billing department was his supervisor and then later stated the owner not involved in the business and lives elsewhere) today who proceeded to try and sell me on booking more appointments based on my history with them and also that my CC was out of date. When I told him I hadn't been in there in over 2 years when I cancelled, he became defensive and rude. He was apprehensive to even admit they did not have that on file and he couldn't confirm if they had been continuing to charge me for a membership and that he would send me a new cancellation form so I could ensure it could be cancelled this time (what would be different about this time than last time!?) He refused to direct me to his supervisor, owner, or anyone other than the "billing department" who handles all claims (more than likely because maybe he's the supervisor, no wait that's Estrellita, no wait that's the mystery one who is not involved in anyway that moved). It reminded me of Bally's Fitness. Surprising that a local neighborhood spa would want to model their customer service and business strategy off of such an immoral and corrupt tactic. My recommendation would be to go elsewhere. The services are mediocre on their best day and there are far more options nearby downtown Orlando / Winter Park who outperform with actual upstanding business practices. I just went to THE SPA in Orlando yesterday. It was the worst "spa" I have ever been too. Due to the " 24hr cancellation notice " I was forced to go during a rain storm. I had a Mani/pedi done and requested a french manicure on my toes. There was only one other lady there getting her nails done, and I could hear her whole conversation, complain about her grandchild. I have two kids of my own, and planned this relaxing quiet "spa day," the last thing I wanted to hear about what her annoying grandchildren. Anyways, during the manicure, the girl used a sanding tool used for feet and cut my cuticles and scraped the thin skin around my fingernail bed... even after I told her that it hurt. Needless to say when she started putting on the polish it stung. The polish was done way too thick and is still all over my fingers after I tried to touch it up and peel the polish off my skin. Then it was time for the pedicure. There wasn't even a bubble bath or vibrating tub for my feet. They used a small bowl to dip my feet in and to rinse the scrub off. Instead of wrapping my feet in a towel, or waiting until she was finished, she just got up and took the bowl to the other room to clean it. Leaving me with freezing cold feet that were dripping wet. ???? Then she slapped some lotion on my feet and legs, rubbed it for like 2 minutes, then tried to put my BRAND NEW SUEDE sandals on. I asked her if the lotion would stain and she said no. I told her twice that my heels were really cracked due from walking around barefoot on my tile foors, and she never scrubed or filed my feet. I had to literally hold my feet in an exteremly aquard position for her to paint my toes, the whole time I was wataching the bottle of polish that she was trying to balance in between my shoes, praying that it didn't spill or drip. After the quick french polish was applied I sat in the chair and she brought over a little nail dryer for my toes. I tried again to relax but all I could hear was the owner scheduling other people that bought these groupons over the phone.
