They were short on staff, but the pizza came out quickly. We sat outside listening to some music and enjoying the cool but warm air. Next day got a text room is ready. Immediately told them dates were wrong and we had to find someplace else to stay. She acknowledged the receipt of text. I thought it was resolved the next day I get a charge for both nights. At very least we should get the second night since they knew over 24 hours that we're not coming. The other night because we were there- we were trying to fulfill reservation we made. Joe was rude. He initially said right dates the took it back when I was getting upset. Poor communication, rude and property needs updating and cleaning. Don't stay there!

We were there in the off season, so it was pretty quiet in the hotel. I think there was one other room rented out. No hotel staff, it's run like an Airbnb and you're given the entry code by text. We did not mind this at all, it felt secluded and romantic! The spa rooms were really cool! I LOVED the sand room! I wish we'd known they do massages; I would have booked some for us, but maybe they don't offer those in the off-season. The downtown location is awesome, it's so close to restaurants, bars, and Moccasin Springs. We will absolutely stay here again!!

Joe answered and invited us to stay. The tent camping is set along side the Fall River. It was a spacious and quaint place to spend the weekend. The river was great for a dip, the bathrooms clean and comfortable and the pavilion restaurant offered a lovely and SUPER yummy and well-priced breakfast. Tim is a very hospitable and gracious man who makes a delicious meal full of love and good energy! His company and kindness made the experience top notch! We were told by repeat guests that Tim has done a lot to improve things and they continue to be pleased year after year with all the upgrades. We can't wait to return and enjoy more of what Allen's ranch has to offer!!

We really liked this place. We had a spot right behind the river. It had a fire pit and full hook…read moreups. Most sites had a table, but ours didn't. The bathroom was clean but the showers were small with only shower curtains in between. It was shady and peaceful. I saw people tubing in the river which looked SO FUN because it was SO HOT! There's a store close by in town and Custer State Park and Wind Caves National Park were only minutes away. We did not have the same experience on the video, but I wasn't in a tent and I didn't venture to the rest of the the campground. We'd come back.
