I took my 1998 dodge caravan to have the dash cluster fixed they went above and beyond and fixed it. My cluster was shuting off and on periodically. And then my map guage broke. They fixed it. Got into a jam this morning when fixing my Jeep. Had to remove the PCM and when I was reinstalling it I bent a pin. Bent it in half. OH GOD NO. I'll say this much about the operation, it's not a fancy facility but who cares if they get the job done and done right? So a full day after the work was repaired looks like everything is going great although this was an intermittent problem with my speedometer the only thing I can tell at this point is just how smooth the needle is moving Time will tell and I'll update if it goes south or if it goes north. I will say that Todd, Clayton, and Rose great operation there for a small run operation, but the repairs were definitely cheaper than replacing the entire speedometer. read more

When the tired speedometer on my 79 Goldwing started acting up I began looking for someone locally who could and would repair it for me. I came up pretty much empty and the folks I did contact said they wouldn't work on it. I found some videos online and probably could have done it myself but this is the bike's original speedo with original mileage and I didn't want to potentially ruin it. It's only original once. A search of biker boards came up with these guys. I knew I was in for a bill sending it out to California, but I wanted it done right and they were the best I could find. They were responsive to email so I boxed it up with my info and a description of the issues and sent it. I had it back in around 2-3 weeks and it looks great and works perfectly. Sometimes it's worth paying for peace of mind. No issues at all and I'm happy with the service. I'll definitely use them for any future speedometer needs. read more

I took my Audi TT cluster to Clayton for repair. The instrument panel worked but wasn't operating in cold weather. After a week he said he could not fix it that the microprocessor was bad. Ok, I can deal with that but now the cluster is dead. Nothing works so I wish he never worked on it if he was going to ruin the cluster. He may be good with domestic cars but wouldn't trust him with imports. Now I'm out the money I paid him, dead cluster and worse off. At least he could put it together as it was working. This is NOT a 5-star review, but I don't think is fair to ding the rating of a company that I was unable to do business with. The reason I was unable to work with this shop is because they failed to return my call. I called Thursday morning and received a recording saying that they were busy with other customers and to leave a message and they would call back. So, I left a detailed message and waited all afternoon - no call back. Giving them the benefit of doubt, waited to see if they call next day - no. Wow'! what a great place. I have a 95 Lexus which finding replacement parts can be a challenge, My instrument cluster went out, couldn't find anyone who would work on my car and the few that perhaps could, were obviously screwing me on the price. Not only did I get a real honest price for the work, they said they could do it in a weeks time and sure enough they had it done exactly when they said it would be done by. I called and dropped my 2003 Ford Ranger Truck off to remove and repair the speedometer lights (75% burnt out), and 2 failing sensors for the water temperature and oil pressure gauges when my engine was replaced and no longer worked. Next day, got a call updating the work and that it was time to pick up my truck. EVERYTHING was repaired beautifully, and they found some other issues. Now the speedometer and ALL gauges now work flawlessly. Ford Rangers are notorious for having difficult dash access and removals, so I let the experts handle it, and they did. They were professional, courtesy and most of all they had respect for my ride when working on it. Rose at the front of house was fantastic. I stopped by several times and these guys tell me they can fix my tach for $224. Today I go to make an appointment and apparently now, the 2005 Ram 2500 is the only truck they can't fix it. My son just bought a Mustang that had the RPM gauge busted and he took it here for repair. They did a quick job and were pleasant to deal with.. The reason I deducted 1 YELP STAR is because when we were trying to call them in the morning, the business was not answering their phone, even after they were open for business. I had a 2004 Ford F-150 that was having issues with the Battery Volt Gauge and the Temperature Gauge where the indicator arm was not in a proper position. I pulled out the odometer cluster and brought it in! I did not bring the truck into the shop. I called to inquire about the cost and they quoted me $200 with parts. I also asked for a military discount and they provided a 10% off as well. When I came to pick up the vehicle the cost was about $195 for their service and parts. After installing the odometer back into the truck everything worked perfectly and I have no issues. Excellent work and it was worth the $195. Anyone complaining about $150 or higher for this kind of repair is a joke and do not listen to those people since they are probably lying. Next time do the research online and you will see that this is the normal repair cost from $100 to $250 for any odometer repairs and with a warranty depending on what is being repaired. read more

I had an issue with my Acura's cluster that no one else would touch. I called about 6 different places before I found the Speedo Shop. I spoke to Clayton and not only was he was the first person willing to take a look at my issue, but he was also clearly very knowledgeable about clusters. I had to wait at the shop during the service due to my schedule. They took me in right away and kept me updated the whole time. In less than 2 hours I was back on the road. The three members of the staff I met were all very nice and I felt like they really cared about my situation. Their prices were reasonable as well. The speedometer in my 51-year-old car did not work and the fuel gauge was bent and reading too high. I took these gauges, plus the temperature and battery charging gauges, to The Speedo Shop. Rose in the front office was wonderful. Todd fixed all the gauges and tested the others. He also polished the plastic lens that goes in the instrument panel and painted the gauge needles orange. As the original owner of a well preserved 78 Blazer, my tachometer finally quit. Although I had to leave the truck with them for four days, they took very good care of it and managed to find a NOS tachometer (probably the last in the country), installed it carefully, using the old needle to match the adjacent speedometer, cleaned everything up to perfection, and meticulously reinstalled everything. I'm rarely happy with services I receive, but I am VERY happy with the work that they did. Highly recommended. read more

Drop off my cluster for a new circuit board for my 01 Honda Accord and was done the next day. And also very friendly and knowledgeable

I took my cluster in and told them the mosfet burnt up and even gave them the burnt one. Lady up front said they would have to look at it to see if it was fixable. I asked her 2 separate times what the cost was and asked Todd also. I was told they would let me know what was going on. I heard nothing all day so I called before they closed to see if they had looked at it yet. Lady up front said it's done and it's was $165. I never once agreed to the repair and told them to take it out. The front lady hung up on me and when I called back I was told I owed a diagnostic fee of $45 and that they removed the part. Again I was never told about this diagnostic fee and would have never taken it in since I already knew what the problem was. Also it's way cheaper many others places for the same repair, but they wouldn't give me even an estimate. The front lady then blocked my number so I had to have my husband call to tell them we're not going to pay anything and we just wanted our part back. Horrible customer service and I would never recommend this place! read more

In attempting to fix a malfunctioning clock, I managed to fry the instrument cluster on my 2002 BMW. I can't imagine what BMW would charge for a new cluster, plus install, plus programming (over $1,000 to be certain). For about one-quarter that price, Todd and Clay and Rose got me all fixed up. When I took my car in, I had no instruments whatsoever (no speed, tach, gas level, miles, etc). It is like driving in the dark. I wasn't even worried about the clock anymore. Clay mananged to electronically repair the cluster and even got my clock to operate. Great service, quality work, local business. Hopefully I won't kill another cluster, but if I do, I am taking it to the Speed Shop. read more
