I experience very bad customer service from a employee there name Micheal I went in to purchase a battery I asked Micheal if he will install the battery, he quickly told me no " because he is not a mechanic " there was three other employees working at the time I asked him if someone else could install the battery, he asked a male employee if he wanted to install it for me at first the employee said yes, but Micheal whispered to him something and then asked him if he " wanted to install it" the employee quickly changed his mind. Then he asked a female employee if she "wanted to install it" she quickly agreed Micheal seemed very annoyed she said yes, he tried to discourage her from installing the battery by saying before you say yes make sure it's not to hard. I informed Micheal I don't think it's to hard that the battery is right on top he said" that's what they always say" making me feel like he didn't want to install my battery or want anyone else to install it, his attitude and body language said it all. The female co-worker looked it up and saw it wasn't to complicated and proceeded to help me unlike unhelpful Micheal. I was very upset with Micheal attitude towards helping me install my battery which is a service that O'Reilly provides. I am a regular customer at O'Reilly and one of the main reasons I shop there is because of the great service I normally receive and the extra services O'Reilly provides. I work in customer service and was taking back by his demeanor and attitude. I left there feeling very upset and unsatisfied. While the female employee was installing my battery which only took her five minutes I watch Micheal help another lady install another lady's windshield wipers and he had a attitude doing that. Micheal do not seem like he likes helping customer install services that O'Reilly provides. I am very happy the female named Cj gladly helped me out, because I really needed her help unlike unhelpful, bad attitude, clearly don't like his job Micheal! read more

Just got home from the shop and I really have to give a shout out to Mike from tonight. I went to get my brother's battery replaced and the connector on the terminal had been overtightened and just wouldn't come apart. Mike was extremely determined and so good natured about it. He persevered and got it to come off and replaced the battery for me. I really wanted to just say thanks to him again for being so helpful and so nice at the same time. Came in twice in two days. Day one, the manager put a new battery in my car remote. Seems simple, but not only is this good service, but the previous owner used locktite on the screw. Next day, I needed a battery. The gentleman helped with selection and tools for installation. When I returned the core, he installed a battery clamp, which required hacksaw cutting the j-hook. This guy Mike at Oreillys is amazing. He helped me out with a creaky door in my car to make sure there wasn't a major problem because my car's dealership has gotten a lot of my money recently. He found the problem and sold me a $5 can of silicone spray, showed me where to spray it, and assured me that I'm not dumb for not knowing what to do. I had purchased a part ten years ago at a Kragen in Encinitas. I never wound up using the part, it remained in mint condition. I kept finding it when I would move and thinking that somehow I could re-sell it on Ebay or Craig's List or at least donate it to Industrial Liquidators or something. Finally my brother suggested taking it to O'Reilly's to see if they would at least give us store credit. It was a long shot, but we did it, and thanks to Kevin (spelled "M-I-K-E" lol) our wishes were granted. Somehow the receipt had survived, and it was almost exactly ten years to the day I had purchased it. Worst customer service I've experienced in a while. Went to get 5qts of oil for my car, and noticed there was a sale. The particular oil I wanted didn't have a sale tag on it, so I took it to the girl at the counter to ask if it qualified for the sale. She got a serious rude attitude, and when I started asking about the oil filter that I thought was supposed to come free with the sale, she started speaking rudely of me to the other sales associate and even dropped the F bomb when speaking about me. I told them no worries, I'll just go to Auto Zone. Turns out there is an Auto Zone at the next traffic light. I would highly recommend going there instead of this place. Auto Zone explained the sale they had going on, (which was the same as Oreillys) gave me my oil filter, and even brought the oil to the register for me. Thanks Auto Zone! read more
