    Strawberry Champagne Bubble Tea Special
    Jenn A.

A cute little tea and spice shop. Tons of options for loose leaf tea and spices. They also have quite the collection of supplies for anything needed for making tea. In addition they have a walk up bar to order tea beverages, including bubble tea! They offer rotating flavors each month as specials as well as the listed ones on the menu. It was unfortunate that a lot of the teas and bobas were out of stock when I went. I was the last person to even get tapioca pearls on my visit. I ended up trying one of their June specials, Strawberry Champagne, that had the milk infused with their strawberry champagne tea. I loved how you could infuse the teas with the drink. As far as service, the two employees there were pretty helpful with understanding the store and what they offer. They were a great help with what to try and finding things in their store. I would come back again, but to treat myself. It is on the pricier side of things, but I do think the quality is there to justify the cost. My drink ended up being over $7 with tip.

Very friendly workers and a wide variety of teas and spices to choose some! You can smell the aroma of teas before purchasing which I love!

We stopped by here to get some tea after dinner. I ordered Imperial Drangonwell hot tea. It's not bad. I expected the tea to be little stronger to bring out the full flavor of the tea. But it's a bit diluted. The place is very nice and smell really good. They have a lot of variety and flavors, including herbal teas. You can buy loose leaf teas to take home. They also sell organic spices here.

Great tea selection and some of the best spice blends I've used. Can't think of having a meal with out the Spice Hut spices!

Their wound liniment is a staple in my medicine cabinet, their carrier oils are the best I've come across, and their essential oils and bulk herbs are always top tier. If you compare their pricing with other sellers of similar quality goods, you will find their pricing is ridiculously reasonable. To top all of that off, the folks there have always been super sweet. Since I order online, I only have interactions with them over the phone or through cute smiley faces written on invoices, but even when that note is explaining that they ran out of something I ordered so they refunded me that amount, there's just a certain warmth to it. They had several kinds of indian food, a lush salad bar, and TONS of fresh-made deli items. I was tempted by a grilled salmon salad, gluten free mac and cheese, and the gluten free carrot cake. Ended up getting a vegan tofu burrito bowl and it was so good! I couldn't help but browse the snacks. They had every brand I love here, with flavors I had never even heard of. Ended up somehow resisting the desserts and huge fridge dedicated to olives and pickled goods and just got out with a few kinds of vegan jerky (which is hard to find for me). Again, heaven. I will have to come back on a cheat day when I am ready to sample all the gluten free dessert.

The inside (and out) is well kept and welcoming. I love seeing what the soap sample of the week is.

So you can imagine how excited I was to find Bry's Filipino Cuisine while we were in Bellingham. It wasn't on our radar, but we looked at a map of where we were staying and not far from our hotel was a place called Bry's Filipino Cuisine just down a few blocks. We called over there, asking if they were dog-friendly and fortunately, they are. They offer outdoor seating right outside the entrance, which worked out perfectly. We visited for lunch and left with leftovers. The portions are huge and it's affordable! I can't remember the last time I had a meal in Bellevue with huge portions from a small business for $20. My partner and I both ordered the combination, which came with a little bit of everything for only $20. There was pork adobo, coconut chicken, grilled pork, lumpia, brussels sprouts, pancit and a large helping of white rice. I even asked the owner if he had bicol express, which he gave me a side of as part of the combo plate! After some chatting, it turns out the owner is from the Bicol region, which is where my mom's side of the family is from. Love it! It's been a long time since I've had some authentic Filipino food - and this hit the spot! The food was incredible, the owner was super friendly and the space outside allowed for our dog to join us. They even have a full bar where they serve cocktails with ube and pandan for a Filipino twist! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Bellingham.
