    Kale wild rice salad (vegan)
    Matt B.

In addition to groceries, they have a lot of prepared foods to go, including many vegan items. These items are hit-or-miss. The kale wild rice salad I got today (~$3.50) was as bland as could be -- no dressing or seasoning whatsoever. What gives? If this was representative of their food quality, I'd give it a 1 star review, but I've had lots of good experiences in the past.

Best health food store ever. They have all the options you could ask for. They have an extensive deli and an upstairs eating area. It's a great place to grab a quick, healthy meal. All of the staff is extremely nice and it's a great atmosphere.

Prices at the Co-op are certainly higher than at any average grocery store, but you get what you pay for.

Their wound liniment is a staple in my medicine cabinet, their carrier oils are the best I've come across, and their essential oils and bulk herbs are always top tier. If you compare their pricing with other sellers of similar quality goods, you will find their pricing is ridiculously reasonable. To top all of that off, the folks there have always been super sweet. Since I order online, I only have interactions with them over the phone or through cute smiley faces written on invoices, but even when that note is explaining that they ran out of something I ordered so they refunded me that amount, there's just a certain warmth to it. Businesses like these remind us that there are humans behind everything that happens there, and ground us in our own humanity in turn. No longer. By the time I get my cold food home it will not be anything but a pile of bacteria. Here's a newsflash, Winco: you can't stay in business until you begin taking money efficiently from customers. I think you're gonna need to pay those 19 employees you have stocking and emptying the trucks...But you're gonna have to SELL that stuff that was on the trucks, and you're not gonna be selling it to anymore. I can't risk my life getting my food home after it has thawed and has poison. Your low prices don't mean anything if I can't check out in a timely fashion.
