Tender but not as tender as it could be. The plantains were also dry and hard not really sweet. They left the super big stems from the fresh herbs. The oxtail and plantains were so dry I could swear they were cooked at least a week ahead of time. The rice was okay and so was the patties. I had one beef and one chicken curry. Over all I was so so disappointed and for $25 a platter like I really want my money back. I will never go back. You should always take pride in your food and business.

I ordered a side of Jerk chicken, patties and a drink. I could not wait to eat. (Sigh) I was a bit disappointed because the Jerk chicken portions were way too big and it seemed as if they were done in the oven instead of on the grill. Authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken is not usually served with gravy and this had way too much; it was almost like a stew but with less gravy. I ate it because it was edible but I'm not so sure I'll be back now, I could be nit picking because, like I said, I'm an island girl and I grew up on this type of food so YOU may like it if you end up going here.

The only issue is sometimes the food is not ready when they say it will be. I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my food to be ready past the time that they said it would be. Customer service is lacking because they don't even say "oh we're so sorry that your order wasn't ready when we said.". Thank you for your patience." They say absolutely nothing like oh well. Smh . No one's asking for anything free, just some common courtesy apologizing for an unusual wait time.

My rice and beans was a somewhat hard in a few spots too. Damn! The yams were still killer, but my poor son got screwed out of them (he loved his tender goat and sides, BTW). (I called our order in because they take long to prepare). When we arrived, I was told "we ran out of yams." Uh, it was only Noon when I placed my order! Why wasn't I told then? Did they give someone else them? Of course I gave my son half of mine! It was so darn cold (we ate in) that I left my coat on! This was either an off day or Rob's has declined. Regardless, I'm not a gambling gal and am unfortunately done here!

From the very beginning she was always a little off in regards to poor time management, bad customer service, etc. The food however at the beginning was great, so my husband and I would deal with the quirks. I can finally say not only do I despise the horrible business owner that she is but also the food. Not sure what she did over the years (my guess is her crock pot usage) but the food is horrendous. This is how my night went. Go there, very friendly prompt young man helps me out, I place my order, of course she is out of something (she gives the most longwinded excuses). that's no problem I say. Wait 20 minutes ( shortest I've ever wAited I might add) give the pleasurable have a nice night. Drive home. Husband and child hungry. Open styrofoam containers. Noooo jerk chicken. Pretty sure i ordered jerk chicken platters... Drive back and they are astonished. She talks to the young man and seems annoyed (I should be more annoyed for the mere inconvenience) then I watch this nice polite boy scoop what looks like wet cat food out of a crock pot over the what is now cold rice and beans. She says nothing. Irritated, I just think if it was all right there in a crock pot why did I initially wait so long only to drive back because they forgot the meat. I get all the way home with now semi cold food and watch my son spit out the Mac and cheese (who knows how old it was) my husband almost choke on the bits of bones and me grazing over this "meal" in pure disgust. None the less I'm $36 dollars poorer for 2 jerk platters, side of Mac and cheese, 2 drinks. Food in trash and hungry. I never write reviews, but since it is the last time I will ever step foot into that establishment I thought I'd save someone else some hard earned money for this disappointment in a box.
