Fried Red Snapper, Macaroni & Cheese (not vegan), Plantains

Best fried red snapper I've had. Highly recommend. Everyone is super nice and friendly.

First time here. It's a local spot for me just a few miles away. I ordered their Oxtail plate with rice & peas plus cabbage. It was $27. Coming from FL that was a steep price. I usually pay $17-$20 for a large plate. Most places in FL offer a regular sized and a large sized plate. Their plastic container was in between in size. The oxtail was appealing in appearance and savory but a little tough. They do use a higher quality large sized boned oxtail. The rice was savory. They gave plenty of the rice & peas and oxtail but were ungenerous on the cabbage. Their cabbage was thinly sliced and not roughly cut into large sections like most other establishments. I prefer my cabbage thickly cut. Theirs is like a coleslaw. It did have flavor though. I enjoyed my plate overall and I would give it a solid 4/5. Service was pleasant and quick. I only waited 5 minutes. I stopped by at 7pm on a Saturday. Lobby area is a little run down. There was a live DJ at the time jamming with the tunes. That was interesting. I didn't see any patties but thats more of a breakfast food. I have eaten at over twenty Jamaican restaurants in my 27 years of living in FL in the areas of Fort Lauderdale/Miami and Fort Myers.

Great service! I asked for popular Caribbean dishes to serve at my bookclub. With many food references in the book, Black Cake, Rasta's Kitchen captured the aromatics and rich flavors of the culture. I order a variety of egg rolls, chicken patties, Ackee/salt fish, vegan fried chicken, callalbo, selection of bottled sodas and coconut waters, and the traditional black cake. It was a one stop shop for my party! The simmering veggies were soft and seasoned perfectly. The chunks of fish were large and did not over power the softness of the Achee fruit. The best Caribbean cuisine I've had in years. I want to go back for the red bean veggie soup, so I joined the email to be notified of when new items on the menu pop up.

Jerk chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage.

My first visit to this restaurant and it will not be my last. The service was great and patient (I didn't know what I wanted). And the food was good. Being from Brooklyn, NY I'm trying to find the most "authentic" tasting food and they are off to a great start with the jerk chicken (cooked on a grill is a bonus).

Had a Uber eats delivery from here and it was soooo good !!! They paid attention to every detail and included every thing I added in my notes! And it was hot and fresh when it got here ! I got jerk chicken which was cooked perfect and the sauce was delicious- definitely recommend if you like spicy. The rice and beans was also sooo good ! It was almost like a basmati rice .... DELICIOUS. PERFECTLY cooked. And the cabbage was perfectly Seasoned. Overall food was great and I definitely recommend

This place is a GEM it could easily be on the hit show Diners, Drive-in, and Dives. But it's not a diner, drive-in or dive it's a local spot serving the best Jamaican food prepared by high level cooks-they know what they are doing in the kitchen. I ordered oxtails, rice beans, and plantains and a curry shrimp and crab egg roll. The food is fresh, taste like it's prepared to order, the oxtails and curry shrimp and crab egg roll were next level flavorful. To keep it simple this food is good!

I ordered from this place for the first time. I got the jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail. There's only one size so it made it easy to order. The jerk chicken is a little burnt but overall, it wasn't bad. I love the curry goat and the oxtail the most although the amount of oxtail wasn't as much as I was expecting given the price I paid. The side dumpling (forgot what's it called) wasn't what I was expecting. It's like hard bread and the plantain was a little dry.

Great vegan options! Food was ok, oxtail was fatty and chewy but the first time we ordered it was very good.

A very cute and friendly neighborhood spot with delicious food and friendly service!…read more Between 2 of us, we shared buffalo cauliflower wings, avocado toast, and a full sized burrito bowl. This was a perfect amount and everything was very delicious! Both of us are not vegan or vegetarian (we love meat), but wanted to try something healthier and we're so happy to stumble upon this spot! It was absolutely delicious! The cauliflower wings were well cooked and slightly crispy, while the sauce complimented it perfectly. The sauce did get a little oily by the end, but was so delicious paired with the other dishes. Avocado toast was chef's kiss! The burrito bowl was surprisingly a highlight! Flavors were all there and you wouldnt bat an eye if someone said it was finely ground meat. All things to say, it's a great option for healthier meals! Side note, they were giving samples out of their health shots and cold pressed juices that they recently began making in-house. Dont forget to grab a bottle while they last! They were so delicious and I can't wait for more!

Really disappointing experience. The $16 burger I ordered was complete mush, and didn't come with…read morethe potatoes or mushroom advertised on their menu, and the "smoothie" was warm and tasted more like a protein shake than an actual smoothie. I said something about the burger not coming with the potatoes & mushrooms and was told they had the wrong menu out and the burger no longer came with potatoes. Pretty ridiculous to let someone order and pay based on a menu, then tell them afterward that it's not actually what they're getting. Mistakes happen, but between the poor food quality, incorrect menu, and lack of effort to make the situation right, I definitely won't be back.

I attended RTF's first ever 5 course vegan dinner affair. It was elegantly setup with a piano…read moreplayer, cocktails (zero cocktails as an option) and spoon appetizers as a starter. I was lucky enough to attend an Elite event including RTF beforehand- so I wasn't signing up for this with a completely blind eye. What's nice about RTF being able to have this event is that it might be more accessible to people in the area because it's a one time deal. The meal kit delivery service maybe could be a one time deal too, but I am not sure. I also learned that RTF shines on its own with the meal delivery kit service because they serve fresh food. Purple Carrot, Thistle, and Sakara Life are all frozen (or placed in a refrigerated package) even though accessible nationally. RTF can only deliver in the Philadelphia area and pickup would have to be done in a limited time frame of around ~11-1 on-site on a Monday if not opting for delivery service. Before the meal started, chef Josh introduced his event team. He expressed some personal stories that went into the dishes such as how he created a classier version of hummus on his own from his learnings and desire for hummus. Then something about his mother making the latke. So, he "had to" have a dish based on this and his mother was present at the event. His version of a chef based hummus was creamy with fresh vegetable accessories and it definitely made me like hummus a lot more than your typical grocery store. Third came the risotto dish- my dish was a bit too oily, but fine otherwise. Then, the King Trumpet mushroom platter which replicated a "steak" with the mushroom just being slightly perfectly burnt. At least one of my friends did not like the King Mushroom- they may not be used to pricier things that are a bit different than what they are used to. The cauliflower puree added was essential to make this dish stand out. Lastly, dessert was a lemon black sesame cake with coconut cream and peaches. This was an Internet recipe as Josh is not as big on bakery (if I remember correctly), but the interpretation came out fabulous anyway! It's hard to choose one "best" item as it was a tie between the hummus, King Mushroom dish, and the dessert cake for me. The day ended with optional coffee w brown sugar and a choice of soy milk or oat Milk and a surprise chocolate chip cookies mini gift bag. (All unpictured) When I wanted to speak to Josh as he was in the back area cleaning up, his mother half-jokingly told me that he probably didn't want to hear from her. It looked like his mother pulled him out from whatever he was doing, but he was nice to spend some time with me and hopefully got some good ideas he can implement. We talked about how he had extra ingredients he would not want to waste and I mentioned TooGoodToGo. So, if you see an RTF TooGoodToGo, you heard it here first! Nothing But Love Soulfood Catering uses TooGoodToGo at the Culinary Collective. I learned that there was significant cost to rent the dining area even though rent is already paid to use the kitchen setup of the Culinary Collective. There was cost for the staff and the food is fresh. Many of the ingredients chosen are a higher quality and standard, and people don't always realize this. The availability of various items may not have been known except within a limited time frame.
