We ordered the CRO skillet and the Tuna melt. She loved the skillet. Great flavor and just the right size, not too much. The Tuna melt was Spot on! And the Fries were fresh and crisp. The entire vibe of the place was great. They even had live music from Flashbaxx. You couldn't leave without a smile on your face. From out of town and wanted brunch. No wait. Greeted and sat right away on a Wednesday. They had specialty savory and sweet items. The spot is a modern brunch spot but saw more older folks dining in. Food: Creme brûlée French toast- way too sweet. I actually took the thick layer of caramelized sugar on the top off. CRO skillet- husband loved it. Country fried steak- this was delicious. My only complain about it was that the breading got removed when I cut through the steak. The hash was just ok. Hot coffee- waitress was attentive and filled our coffee cup frequently. I was immediately sold on the live acoustic music on the weekends during brunch hours. Already unmatched for a family sit-down. They have a coffee cup collection of donated mugs that they serve their coffee in. That totally makes me feel like I'm at home. The food was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals. And this is why : So we brought someone here to show off a restaurant that we've been to and really loved. It was a bit embarrassing and very, very disappointing! I got the chicken and waffles and it was delicious as usual. Some at my table got breakfast and the bacon was not cooked well. It was definitely not crispy and it was floppy, and the fat was not cooked through. The butter on the toast had a weird water like consistency... And it made the toast wet.... And this butter stuff dripped onto the plate and it wasn't creamy like real butter. It was like water. Yuck. The Service.... I would give it ZERO stars if I could! It was absolutely nonexistent!!! It took forever for them to come and take our order. And then when the food was ready, the server dropped off the food and promptly turned around and walked away!!!! And it wasn't because the restaurant was full. In fact, there were very few tables that had customers. She did not ask if we needed anything or even say hello.. We kept having to wave down a server to get coffee or water or whatever. This is the kind of thing that puts businesses OUT of business! After waiting to be seated, we ordered food and after over an hour of waiting our waitress let us know their computer system was messed up and our order never entered the system. We reordered and waited another 20 min for our food to come out. Once the food was brought out we were left with no utensils to eat and had to ask for them. The food tasted okay. We have had better than average service as well, but things can get a little hairy for brunch. It fills up fast. The restaurant itself is clean and nice with different seating options. The last time I set foot in this place it was a strange mix of haggard red leather booths and a confused collection of artwork. Nowadays, it's a very clean, hip and welcoming atmosphere. We got the tiramisu pancakes and the crème brûlée French toast for takeout. The good: the pancakes were super tasty, I would definitely recommend. The not so good: I asked to ensure that the syrup comes on the side, in which the server said it would come on the side, and unfortunately they did not provide any syrup. The pancakes were also relatively soggy due to the mascarpone but that isn't a huge surprise. The bad: the Crème brûlée French toast was awful. Wonderful menu selection. Clean, bright, and uniquely decorated and designed. They offer live music from 11am-1pm on weekends which is very different and enjoyable. Usually not loud enough to bother anyone. I did have friends that went during the week and said the service was slow but it may have been a one time issue. The mimosaaaaas are delish and the alcohol ice beverages are also reasonably priced and well proportioned. We went last night (Saturday) for my mom's birthday dinner. Made 5 pm reservations. The parking lot was empty and there were maybe 3 other parties seated. By 5:30/6 the parking lot was full and the servers were hustling! We shared an appetizer and ordered 4 entrees and 2 kids meals for under $100. The prime rib was very good and I appreciated the fresh asparagus without carrots! The food is made in house. You can taste the difference. The breading on the chicken tenders is awesome! Real, fresh cut French fries. The space nicely laid out and features local art as decor and for purchase. I trusted my fellow Yelpers and tried this place out on a recent Saturday morning. The day before Easter, no less. Our party of 3 was sat immediately. I was shocked as soon as I began walking thru the space at how big it was. It is much bigger inside than you would think from the lot. There was a live band playing that really set an extra special tone. They played hits from all genres and decades including those of today. I first took note at their exceptional skill as they played "Killing Me Softly" expertly. I felt like Roberta Flack or The Fugees were going to pop out! So about the food and drinks. I got the spiked cold brew. I wanted to go against my usual picks. It was very creamy and had a nutty profile to it. I ordered the Tiramisu Pancakes since that is my favorite dessert. First let me say that service was very good. Prompt and efficient with a smile. The pancakes were good, but I didn't get tiramisu from them. There's a subtle sweetness to the waffles which is exactly what I wanted because of the savory chicken. The combo is so good. Comes with gravy and a syrup. The chicken is so crispy and thick. Artwork adorns the walls with hand-painted murals, and paintings paying homage to extraordinary chefs of the 21st century like Anthony Bourdain and Marco Pierre White. A fitting ambiance for the panache, confidence, yet down-to-earth likability of Owner and Chef: Zachary Bond. The full bar offers a wide variety of classy cocktails, local vodkas, and whatever you need to take the edge off, and/or liven up the mood. Having breakfast? Brunch? Just got off third shift? Or just feel like having something strong with your chef-made chicken and waffles - you got it! Now for food, you've got two perfect options: grab and go, or full service. First, grab and go, which I have not had yet so I'll keep this part short... It's going to be a satiating quick fix for those needing to dash. I would recommend adding a few eggs if you're going to have it for breakfast. However, it's delicious as is. We also opted for the BRANDY MELTED BANANAS. Bold, daring, and well worth it. It's made with a marble rye, vanilla mascarpone, roasted cashews, and, of course, the bananas. It's a wild cousin of one of my favorites, banana fosters. The first bite (with the rye) was a little different, but as I continued to indulge the taste of the brandy and the vanilla, began to dance with the rye, transcending into a sweet and strong flavor that delivers a wonderfully smooth experience to palate. The service has been fine not overly friendly but that's not a requirement and not bad just take my order and leave maybe make a suggestion but again not a complaint the place seems clean and the prices are more than fair! I used to go the Lakeshore Eatery there because my grandparents live over there, and it was good, but since becoming the Spot, it is quite literally the Spot for brunch!! We went on Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. My friend mistakenly told me they don't take reservations, but they do! Make the reservations, the place was packed on Sunday morning and let me tell you why: Live music, great drinks, quality food! I'll start with drinks since we did, I am not a big drinker but I hate coffee with crappy creamer so I got coffee and baileys which was standard but good. My love and the birthday girl both ordered their special cold brew drinks which is a coffee with vanilla vodka, kaluha and possibly something else. I took a sip, it was delicious, but probably would have killed me between the alcohol and sugar. The 4th member of our party started with coffee and then switched to Barcardi and diet, so they clearly have a decent bar selection. Then my partner and the birthday girl went with mimosas for round two, they have a few different juice options too which is pretty cool! For food we all ordered something different and then decided to share the creme brulee french toast. I ordered the BELT which is a BLT with egg on a croissant with a side of hash browns, it was good but I think next time I will try something more fun. My partner ordered an omelette, the birthday girl ordered biscuits & gravy with bacon and hashbrowns and I honestly can't recall what our other friend ordered but it was another savory selection. We were all stuffed. Our waitress kind of forgot about creme brulee french toast, we almost did not remind her but the birthday girl wanted them so we tried them and they were soooo good!
