We participated in a wedding at the Lazy S on a stormy Texas Saturday evening and despite the…read moreweather and other obstacles, we had a really positive experience! We arrived early in the afternoon so our flower girl could have her hair and makeup done. The venue was brand new. We were their third wedding, like ever. The building has a nice blend of glass, stained concrete and fabric chandeliers inside. A long porch lines one side of the building and a sloping path led to outdoor seating and small stage with a steel arbor. We were there hours early and flowers, bars, and tables were being setup as the weather was beginning to stir. Outdoor weddings in Texas are always a crapshoot considering the volatile weather here. As the start time approached, the weather worsened. The staff began to rework the indoor space to provide a way to stage the wedding inside. By the time the building was full of guests, full Texas thunderstorm was raging on top of us. We waited a bit and the bride wanted to be married outside despite the weather. So, the staff reset the room again and we resumed the outdoor plan. A few minutes later the happy couple were married and the party started. If you are looking for a new venue with a Texan-Pinterest vibe, multiple ways to setup in case of inclement weather, and hard working staff, the Lazy S Hacienda is a great choice.

When you pull up to the venue, it looks like "Pinterest in real life!" Ronda & Darrell really have done a phenomenal job thinking of everything I didn't even know we would need. While we fell in love with the property, Ronda & Darrell are really what sold us; they are two humble, kind, and thoughtful owners. They do not nickel & dime couples, they are responsive, and they are flexible. I was able to use the venue for my bridal shoot for no additional cost. Our guests "oooh" and "wowed" at the venue/property and amenities ALL.DAY.LONG! We could not feel more blessed to have found Trickle Creek and Ronda & Darrell for our big day!

He is very unprofessional and unstable. He changed their contract and made them pay him more money 6 days before the wedding. If they hadn't have paid more money then he would've canceled the event. I DO NOT recommend this venue. The positive reviews are from his family members who weren't even present and do not know what happened. They keep saying that there are three sides to every story and that there are consequences for breaking rules. However, the bride and everyone followed what the coordinator had asked but Danny Brewer decided to change his mind because again, he is unstable. Even if someone were to break rules, his actions were not appropriate consequences. This isn't the only time that Danny Brewer ruined an event for people. There were reviews on the By the Creek Facebook page but they took them down. They also deleted comments from people who disagreed with them and blocked those same people.
