We were in the neighborhood walking around on an on again, off again rainy Saturday day late afternoon. We stopped at The Station for drinks and appetizers. We sat right away at the bar, but it took forever for someone to take our order. Once we ordered the drinks, they came in a semi decent amount of time, but the food took forever, I almost said never mind, but it was hard to find someone to tell. We sat at the outside bar and it wasn't crowded, maybe it was inside. The drinks were refreshing, the mussels were delicious, but the fries were flimsy and tasteless. Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience on my visit to the station. My first impression of the exterior of the station was that it'd be an upscale, yet casual experience based on the gorgeous fireplaces and tables on the patio. My group was seated inside, in a booth that was storing their bulk pasta and still had Christmas decor up mid-January. I would've happily overlooked aesthetics for a tasty meal, but 4/5 meals in my group were fairly inedible. The worst offender was a fried chicken sandwich, which was completely raw when cut into. It took almost 10 minutes to get the waitress' attention after discovering the raw chicken, and she said they would remake the sandwich without asking whether our group would even want to eat that anymore. The waitress did note the sandwich would be comped, which was kind. It took nearly 30 minutes to receive the second sandwich, however, and at that point the rest of the group was already done eating and just waiting for her return. It was frustrating that we were never checked on before she brought the second sandwich back. As far as the other dishes go, one basket of fresh fries came out a few minutes late (the rest of us received cold fries) and all of them left a really unsettling film on our mouths. I ordered the mussels, which was served in a bowl with what I can only describe as saltwater, not sauce. The wings were aggressively overcooked (but we wouldn't dare complain about cooked chicken at this point). I hate to leave a negative review, but I wouldn't be nearly as bothered by the experience if The Station had done a better job at apologizing for and remediating our meal. read more

We came here for Mother's Day, got there a little before our reservation time (made on open table) and they were able to go ahead and seat us which was nice. The patio area has a really cute vibe with various types of tables and a bar. I'm one of those that looks up menus before I go to restaurants and I will say the menu had some slight differences in brunch offerings. I do wish that they offered more of a brunch selection but everything we had was good but simple, no frills but reasonably priced. I absolutely LOVE The Station and really wish there was one near my house as I live in Brier Creek. Please open a location near me!! One of my first dates with my husband was at The Station. We sat outside near the outdoor bar at a fire table. We loved it so much that we now have dates at our own fire table in our backyard. I've been to The Station many times over the years both with my husband and/or my Mom. All of the staff members are super friendly and helpful. Yesterday my Mom and I really enjoyed chatting with the manager, Doug. He was so welcoming and seemed genuine when he said he hoped we come back soon. I love their mostly enclosed booths. I also love that they seem to have a team approach to waiting tables. Each time I've been we have had at least a couple of people check to see if we need anything. The Station always has an excellent selection of beers on tap and I have never eaten anything there that was not delicious. You will not regret having your next date night or family dinner at The Station. They even have games that you can play at your table! read more

I can't comment on the food, we had a reservation through OpenTable but did not stay. We went for Brunch after looking at the menu online. It seems that menu is outdated and the current menu lacks several of the items shown online including Oreo pancakes and a Nutella/banana pancake. The staff was friendly but when your expectation is Oreo pancakes and they don't have that anymore, disappointment is inevitable. Even at the time I am writing this, the online menu remains inaccurate both in terms of food but also pricing. The 4 pancake stacker that is still served are $13, not the stated $9. read more

We walked here for trivia and we will be back. IMO, they have one of the best patios in Raleigh - shaded, plenty of comfortable seating, and in a walkable area. We got beers and apps which were delicious. The loaded tots have sour cream, tomatoes, pimento cheese & pork belly and they are 10/10. My husband and i went to get dinner after a nice day at the flea market he got the texas smash which was delicious and i asked for recommendations from our waitress and she couldn't have picked a better meal. I need to return here to give a proper review as I was not fully sober when I dined here. This bar is across the street from a speakeasy I went to. We were greeted by one of the bartenders who was outdoors collecting table lamps. The outdoor tables and seating is very large. They also have fire places/pits and outdoor heaters that was working well enough to warm us up as it was lightly snowing. The indoor space is tiny in comparison, but was still chill. They have a nice selection of bar foods. We ordered wings and potato wedges, it was delicious by the way, and ate at the bar. We drank enough that night, so we didn't get the full bar experience. Both bartenders there was very nice, and communicated with the other, very drunk, patrons very well. This will be the go to spot when we hit up the speakeasy. Sunday Brunch at this Person Street restaurant. Sat outside on the patio, where there are about 10 tables. Service was friendly and efficient, order taken promptly food delivered quickly and accurately. Our server did a great job, keeping track of us thru a leisurely meal and dividing the check at the end. Thank you! Started off with a Bloody Mary. It's well spiced, with Old Bay around the rim, a strip of bacon and a skewered olive. Even though there is a brunch menu, the full menu is available. A variety of different things were ordered around the table: The Elvis Stacker and breakfast biscuit sandwich from the brunch menu, and a Muffuletta, Bahn Mi and Station Burger. The muffuletta sounded good on the menu. It has the right ingredients - mortadella, sweet capicola, tapenade. But, it missed the mark of the New Orleans classic. The tapenade was more mustard-like than olive-y and more olive oil was needed. It true what they say that you can't get good muffuletta bread outside of New Orleans, because while the crusty cuban bread was good, it wasn't the same. A completely tasty sandwich, but just not what I expected. The Elvis stacker is a mountain of 3 plate-sized pancakes. They're hollowed in the center to make way for a big scoop of Nutella. They whole thing is topped with half a slice of banana and several strips of crisp bacon. As if the Nutella isn't sweet enough, there's syrup too! Pancakes aren't as fluffy as they could be, but anything that you eat slathered in Nutella is darn tasty! It was a nice, laid-back brunch; and the Station is a great place to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. Food is OK, though not special. read more

Every time I visit my sister in Raleigh, the Station is a must! Even during these hard times, the restaurant is doing a fantastic job maintaining social distancing, cleanliness, and wonderful service. I came with my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew and we were seated outside apart from others. Our server, Analynn, was an absolute gem - she was so sweet and made our dining experience a great one! My sister and I split the papaya salad with coconut shrimp and Thai chili chicken wings for dinner. It was the perfect amount of food. The salad was so refreshing (great for those hot summer days) and the wings were perfectly crisp! I always look forward to visiting so we can go to The Station! Keep on keepin' on! read more

What an adorable place! My friend and I went here the other day because we were trying to find a cute place with outdoor seating in Raleigh, and we finally found it! The atmosphere of this place was so perfect, the food was good, our server was FANTASTIC (plus, half priced wine on Wednesdays)! My friend ordered a banh mi and I got the chicken sandwich. They were both MASSIVE. Like an amazing amount of food for the price we paid. It was also delicious! The fries were fresh and crispy, and so was the chicken on my sandwich. Visited for a Saturday afternoon lunch and sat outside. It was really nice, service was super friendly. Our friend had a child with her and she ordered the "unicorn pancakes" which was literally bigger than her head! I laughed so much when they dropped it off, knowing there was no way she could eat even a quarter of it (don't worry, the table helped her out a little).
