I found this restaurant by accident after a storm caused a power outage in the area. After searching for burgers this was the third location that came up but it should be number one on the list. It was phenomenal and I will definitely be making a trip here in the future. read more

If you want to meet some of the sweetest, loveliest and down right friendly people, I'd say take a trip here and you won't be let down. There is Gabby, Elaina and Jordan who are some of the nicest ladies I have probably ever had the pleasure of being a customer to. Drinks are always on point and the food is great, too. I've never had a bad meal here I've had many meals here! I always go back to the same things though. burger, bahn mi and max b cheese are absolute musts. When we get dessert, it's the skillet and brownie. I'm not a huge dessert fan but this was rich and delicious! I don't think they have their own loot but I've never found a trouble parking on the street. Atmosphere is great, ESPECIALLY outdoor bar/dining area. Pretty tiki style with string lights. Inside is nice too - typical casual bar. Great selection of draft beers. The service is ALWAYS on point snd they'll do anything ti accommodate a specific request or substitution. My son also had their chicken fingers and they were adult sized, crispy and tender. What more can you ask for!? read more

We sat outside this evening (a Tuesday) on the patio. It had a great ambience. We loved the vines growing and the hanging lights. I was with 5 people and we all loved our meals. We had the Station Burger, The Station Salad, The Corned Beef Club, The Catfish Sandwich and the Texas Burger. It wasn't busy but we were surprised how quickly our food came out. Never a bad thing! Everyone kept saying they were glad we discovered it and couldn't wait to come back again. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the bathroom was a little dirty and the inside of the restaurant had a dirty bar vibe. But since we sat outside it was fine. read more

I cannot stress enough--if you offer outdoor seating please please please take some precaution to save us all from the bugs. I hate flies but love to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. You can keep vegetation down, use some foggers prior to opening, and just hire some bug folks. Nobody likes eating food and worrying about the flies landing on it. The flies are out of control. We used to enjoy coming here, quite regularly. Because we've been before and have seen some issues with flies in the past, we picked a table that had a fan pointing at it. Turns out, it didn't matter. We were swarmed; the worst it's ever been. We both had to keep a hand waving at our plates and drinks the entire time we were there to keep the flies away. We finished our meals as quickly as possible in order to escape. We won't be back. Burger was good, wedges were good. Mac n cheese entree was not good. Service was fine. Honestly feel bad leaving this review because the problems we had were out of the servers' control. i ate at this establishment today and had the most horrid experience almost ending with being threatened to have the police called on me. from the beginning i had great intentions on trying this place. i ordered popcorn shrimp fries and a side Caesar salad. half of the lettuce was brown and i was going to pick through it but the lettuce tasted like the lettuce wasn't washed. the shrimp and half soggy or warm to cold shrimp and some that looked freshly fried but weren't hot enough to back the manager or the runners words about the shrimp and fries just coming out the fryer. this was far from the truth. i then ask to speak to a manager who comes up to the table quite rude accusing me of being a problem and telling me i could just leave the place if i want to treat people wrong when i hadn't even gotten a word in yet pertaining to what my issues were with the food. i then get up to pay for my cousins food and to tip the servers because this is not their fault this has to do with the kitchen . the manager then appoints another employee or manager to talk to me about how i still have to pay for the food i didn't even eat. she gaslights me and taps the receipt on the bar telling me she cant take anything off except the salad. i advise her that this is bad customer service and that i wont be paying for food i didn't even eat. the other manager comes back claiming i can call the general manger but also says in the same breath that he was a general manager he proceeds to tell me more about how wrong i am and if i don't pay he will just call the police . i then replied with CALL THE POLICE your not going to do this to me days before my birthday. he leaves comes back and says don't worry about the check i then say no we would like to pay for at least what my cousin ate he then says its complimentary as I'm explaining i don't want to be the two black people labeled for not paying because they are being uncompromising. safe to say i will never come to this establishment and if you a a foodie black person like myself id advise you don't eat here either. the managers in question through this scenario are a white man with curly blonde hair and a white woman at the bar with a piercing in the center of her lip i think she has brown hair but if anyone sees this from this establishment please offer these two managers some training on deescalating a customer complaint because this is unbecoming of a restaurant to lie to their customers or to bully them into paying for bad food or food that they did not eat. read more

As I feared, they recently changed up how they make a lot of their food items, including shrinking the Chickety China Chicken Sandwich to a 1/3 of its original size, but charging the same price. Really disappointing, since this place has so much potential. Staff is still friendly at least! read more

I was super impressed with The Station! This is one of those places I've driven by a million times, but have never stoped in. I went in with a large group and they were able to reserve a few big tables for us. People have complained about the service, but our service was great on the Thursday night I was in. The two servers were casual, but friendly, and available if you needed them. The table got an order of the mussels to share and they were freaking awesome. Like you want to slurp up all the sauce when the mussels are gone awesome. We also shared the dip trio plate which was pretty tasty. For dinner I went with the pickled beet and goat cheese salad. It was great, the didn't skimp on the beets or goat cheese! The citrus vinaigrette it was served with really pulled everything together. A lot of the people I was with got salads and everyone really loved them. Can't wait to go back! Great vibe on their outdoor patio. read more

Enjoyed a lunch with coworkers sitting outside in December! Enjoyed the three dip app which offered been so, cheese do, and spinach artichoke which was my fav. Most of the lunch items were $10 and filling. Boss had the pork belly sandwich. He liked it, I went the safer route with the chicken salad wrap. Both came with chips or potatoe wedges. The environment was great. Lots of outdoor seating. The food, leaves much to be desired. Mostly everything is fried and there aren't many options beyond that. I ordered the BLT salad and it was the saddest salad I've ever ordered. It was maybe 5 pieces of skinny whole romaine leaves and a few toppings. The ranch was really good and looks to be homemade. We also ordered a side of seasonal vegetables which were unseasoned squash and zucchini bathing in a pool of oil, so we sent that back. Celebrated my roommate's birthday here. Super nice atmosphere. The fire furnace outside were really cool and would be especially cool to hang out in the summer. Not that great on a rainy day though because the indoor space is relatively small. Food was decent, but alright for the price. Fun fact: According to my friend, it used to be a gas station. Very nice outside patio with plenty of covering! Today it was 91 degrees in Raleigh and I decided to eat outside.. The Station has daily menu specials and today's was $5 burgers ALL DAY! Ok, I ordered a Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger with all the fixings. The burger was juicy, bacon was on point and the veggies were fresh. The burger is served w/either house made chips OR potato wedges. I went with the wedges and they were outstanding - #teamscore Cons: - All of the condiments were also out in this 91 degrees weather. - I had to ask multiple times for some "cold mayo" - I was told they didn't have any and was given some from inside that was just as hot as the mayo that left from outside? The server did offer and bring me some samples of a few other sauces that were chilled. The customer service was exceptional and for $5 this meal is huge, tasty and expressive. Next time I hope you folks have some chilled mayo for me! Not trying to see if I'll end up in the ER for eating "hot mayo." read more

I've been going to this spot for years, and is one of my favorite Raleigh staples- but all of that changes after my friend and I ordered takeout on Sunday evening. We picked up our orders of chicken tenders- the place was super slow (maybe 1-2 guests?). We got home with our takeout and realized that there was a bug embedded into the breading of the chicken tender. To be honest, that's obviously gross- especially considering that one of the health code violations from July 2020 includes a pest control issue? The most FRUSTRATING part is calling the restaurant to explain that we wanted a refund because of the situation (see attached picture). We called and explained the issue to the staff member that answered- then, transferred to the manager who immediately says, "what kind of bug is it?" after hearing our story without any apology. Then proceeds to tell me he wants to "fact check" me- and begins asking us a ridiculous amount of questions about the order: was it in a plastic bag? What color was the container? What was the order time (which he disagreed with our order time, even though we had it printed on a receipt) I respond with, "does specific order time matter when there's a gross bug in my food?" And he says "don't get an attitude with me". I asked if I could text him a picture of the bug (we live 20 minutes away), and states "no I don't want your picture". I'm going to be entirely honest- We've been a patron of this place for years, all through college/grad school/post grad- so to be talked to in that way from the manger of a restaurant that I used to frequent, is incredibly unfortunate. I mean completely disrespected and flat out rude- we called because we had a BUG in our food, not because anything tasted bad! The manager said in order to get a refund, we had to drive back to the restaurant (we repeatedly asked if it was possible to do it over the phone) however, once we got there, the bartender processed a refund and explained he could have done it over the phone. If you can't handle a customer complaint, you don't need to be in the food service industry. A side note: the bartender was very friendly and apologetic. Super nice to deal with! read more

Whether it's eating in-house or takeout, the servers are aloof & insincere. And when you wanna call in a to-go order, it shouldn't take 20mins of busy signal dialing before giving up. That's not okay. Btw, I ordered a burger & not a chicken sandwich (the receipt says the correct order but I received otherwise). Customer service & common sense go a loooong way. Inviting! Drive or walk by this place and the patio cries out to come in and start drinking and eating. Having been by many times and said "we really should check this out", we finally had the opportunity to do so on this gorgeous Saturday afternoon, and were greeted with a sign that said to sit wherever we liked. We chose a picnic-style table in the shade. I will say, as a Yelper, that I had read reviews that made me have low expectations about service. I am happy to report that our experience was the opposite. Our service was excellent and nice and friendly as well. From our gal server, to the young guy who can impressively stack and carry dishes, to the manager we spoke with...we were well cared for. Food: All four of us LOVED the Trio Dip Sampler. (sorry no pic, everyone dove in way too fast, but I knew there were ones posted already because that's what made me order it immediately). Two liked the bean dip the best. Husband had a preference for the spinach and artichoke, while I think the bacon pimiento cheese one was my fave. It had a teeny tiny heat kick to it, not as much as I expected though with the word habanero in the description, but it sure is good! All three of them are excellent. Very generous portions as well. And the pita that was served with it was warm and went well with all three. YUM! After this I learned I couldn't read. I ordered the Bahn Mi. I love Bahn Mi sandwiches and this sounded great, but what I somehow missed was that the pork part is pork BELLY. I don't do pork belly. Just not my thing. Meat fat is really really not my thing. I screwed up and Super Husband came to my rescue. About the time I was pulling the belly off my sandwich, he gallantly offered to take one for the team and switch with me (although he's not big on cilantro). So, his giant burger went to me. Now, I love a good burger, and this was indeed good, but I am not sure why they do TWO giant burger patties. It was just too much and made it difficult to eat. Brought a lot of it home and will probably get two more meals out of it. I did get to taste the onions on the Bahn Mi, and boy are those good! Meanwhile Son liked his burger but got full fast and took a lot of his home. And his Gal was very disappointed with her Black Bean Burger. She said it was tasteless. I tasted a bit of the patty and had to agree. When she didn't want a take-out container, our Server was kind enough to take it off the bill. AND a Manager came over to offer to fix anything she would like to take home. She declined, but that's what I call SERVICE. We will be back, especially for that dip trio! But some of us will definitely order differently for our entrees. And I must get my eyes checked if I missed that pork belly thing! read more

Overall a solid place! They have a great outdoor patio that is dog friendly and is fabulous when the weather is nice.

The latest eatery over in Oakwood neighborhood, the Station at Person Street sports a huge outdoor patio and bar that will be great in the summer time! Until then, head on inside to a cozy interior with edison lighting, a good beer list and pub food for your comfort. I order up some mussels and popcorn chicken off the apps menu and sit back to enjoy the scene. Even though the Station has only been open for two weeks, the place is busy. It will probably be one of the most popular spots in the hood, bigger than PieBird and less expensive then the Stanbury. My food is decent but a bit over-salted. The mussels are a heaping plate in a cast-iron platter full of garlic and rosemary flavor. The chicken is good and served in a paper bag over potato wedges. Portions are ample and service is ok but spotty given the newness of the Station. We'll have to see how the Station evolves but it's a good spot for a beer, bite and hanging out on their dog-friendly patio. I'd expect more and better from the Station at Person Street! read more

Wow! What a find! My teen daughter and her friend wanted some lunch after an outing and we found this place on Yelp. The food was fabulous and the waitress was OUT OF THIS WORLD good - attentive but not in your face, knowledgeable, safety conscious and super sweet. The Bahn Mi was exceptional, the Mufalatta was huge and delicious and the fried potato wedges were very good. The crab dip was good but not spicy even though it said it was - but it was great quality and delicious. The PBJ DIY was fun. The outdoor seating is beautiful and COVID friendly. I've driven by this place a few times and was intrigued by the outdoor bar. Decided to stop by here for a late lunch today. The place was empty due to the lull between the lunch and dinner rushes. I was told to pick any seat and the waiter came to check on me as soon as I sat down. Decided to give the Banh Mi with a side of mac and cheese a try. I also ordered the Bacon Habanero Pimento Cheese Dip as an appetizer. The cheese dip was on the bland side with no spice to it at all. After a few bites I decided to move on. The mac and cheese was topped with bread crumbs and on while it didn't taste as cheesy as I would like it was good and I finished it off. The Banh Mi isn't a real traditional banh mi. If that's what you're expecting, you'll be disappointed. What it is, though, is an amazingly well done pork belly sandwich with flavors that will remind you of the traditional vietnamese sandwich. I tried a piece of the pork belly by itself and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Definitely the highlight of my meal and I would order it again. Overall, service was good and the waiter checked on me frequently. There are a lot of items on the menu that I'd like to try. The outdoor bar seems like it'd have a great vibe on a summer night. We visited based on the Yelp reviews. Not certain if we hit it on a bad day but our visit today was less than stellar. I struggled between a 2-star and 3-star rating. Our service was just not good. The main menu items ordered were served in a staggered manner requiring most of our party to wait on the final order before eating. The steak frites ordered by two in our party were just horrible. The meat was tough and had a gross flavor. No pride was taken by the cook with this dish. The shrimp added to a salad ordered by another in our party offered a pungent fish odor before even being placed on the table. My order was a fried catfish sandwich that was supposed to come with potato wedges. I was informed on delivery of the sandwich that the wedges were still cooking. Exactly how does that work for a patron? I suggested they keep the wedges and they did. The sandwich itself was ok. The highlight main menu item ordered was the sloppy joe sandwich. The best items ordered were the chicken tender appetizer and the Thai Chili wing appetizer. Nothing special but good for bar food. We thought it was kind of neat that they allowed folks to bring their dogs with them. However, that went south quickly when one couple arrives with two dogs that started a barking exchange with their canine neighbor at the next table. From our perspective this would be a fine place to stop for a beer before going somewhere else to eat. read more
