horrible place. went In to get a 12 inch sub for my Toyota Camry. I said I got about $900 to $1000 max. They said that's just fine. they installed my sub and within 10-20 mins everything stopped working. they wired all my speaks in my car to my amp for sub... they said to even look at it, it's going to be $100 plus... to just look at it after they just messed up installing it. I have a jbl amp in my car for all my jbl speaks and they wired all the speaks to the built in amp for my sub.. Just find it bs they wanna charge after there screw up. Go to Brad car tunes for true serves. they fixed it and it took them around 3 hours all for free because I told the the situation yall put me in. bad serves I don't ever rec. just look at the picture lol it looks like they had a little kid do the whole thing lol, everything is just hanging down. read more

These guys are super helpful. A while back they did a great job installing a new stereo in my old Subaru clunker. Today I went in to ask for some tech advice about connecting my smart phone audio to the handsfree radio/device in my 2015 Honda. I was only able to get phone and zoom to connect to the device via Bluetooth. Online research and trying to read the manual had indicated I would need a USB to Aux adaptor because of the age of the system. But the guy looked quizzical and said, let me try. Within moments he had my phone audio hooked up through a menu option I wasn't even aware of. At no cost. Great store, great guys. Went in to repair my broken door speaker due to a buzzing noise. Had to replace both speakers, was a quick process. New speakers sounded great for about 5 hours until a new rattling noise started. I called the store saying that the same door speaker was making a new rattling noise. The salesman tried to tell me it was the dash speakers and said I needed to replace them. I wasn't able to come in until another two weeks so I decided to pull the door panel off myself and turns out it was because they used a 3D printed mold for the speaker that didn't fit my door and they stripped one of the screws so the noise was the 3D mold not being flush with the door itself causing the noise. I ended up having to put a new screw in as well as stuffing cardboard between the mold and the door to stop the rattling. on top of that the left speaker is much quieter than the right and the wiring job is pretty bad. Overall a pretty cheap job and would not recommend coming here if you want premium speakers. I will not be coming back read more

Very honest I thought my cd player had gone bad. It was playing tracts out of sequence. The sales person looked at it and found out that I put it on a shuffle sequence (I did not know I had this feature). He showed me which button to push. He saved me at least $275. Never even made it fully into the store- Today, walking by to pick up my truck from shop, we gave it a shot to check in, ask questions on our receiver and the service was great. He mentioned that they will price match even if it's an online purchase. Wish I'd known that as I would have purchased through them instead. Went here looking for subwoofers for my 2016 F150 king ranch, and need something that would sound good but also fit in a tight spot, I was looking at stuff that was to big for the space I had. I stopped by hoping to upgrade the stock stereo in my 04 Tiburon with one of the fancy Bluetooth units. The sales man was super helpful and patient allowing me to pair my phone with the Bluetooth radio. I was ready to get it installed but they brought out the installer who said I needed to buy a new amp and run new wires for a few hundred dollars on top of the stereo. I was only looking for a stereo upgrade it didn't make sense to me. About a year and a half later I decided to buy one form Cruchfield because I remembered they make it easy to do it yourself. Not only was it a piece of cake, Cruchfield also gave me the other parts I needed to install it. The sound was much better than the stock stereo. So either The Stereo Store! doesn't have much knowledge about stock car systems or they're just trying to squeeze out as much cash from you as they can! I will never step foot in their store again. read more

Went in yesterday to troubleshoot a Kenwood head unit which came with a used car I'd just purchased. Assistant Manager Shane (I think that was his name) talked through what I was observing, and went out to my car to take a look. He advised me to check a series of fuses (other than the 'radio' fuse), and then told me how to pull this unit to go over the wiring. He showed me some Kenwood options which would swap if mine was defective. I took it home, tinkered with it per his advice, and actually got it working (bad connection in wiring harness clasp to head unit). And better yet, it turns out that the stereo already has the options I wanted (USB & aux in) - the previous installer had just hidden the wires because he/she wasn't using them. So, needless to say, I didn't end up purchasing anything from The Stereo Store, but Shane's service was excellent. I compared the units he'd shown me to online prices, and they were all within a few dollars. I *WILL* go back there for my next car audio purchase. read more

I have worked with Allen, the manager, for the last two years completing various installations from stereo upgrades to back up cameras. I took my car in for what I thought was blown speakers. The Stereo Store tracks the problem down to an amp, which has in fact fried my sub woofer when the wiring corroded. Fair enough, I have them install a new stereo and amp, and then have them order a new pair of subs to be installed a couple of weeks later. When I get home, I can hear a high pitched whine in the speakers. I call and let them know, they say they will fix it and I tell them it can wait until I put in the subs. When I have the subs installed, they have my car for hours doing the install, then eliminating the whine. They are courteous enough to knock a little off of the install for the whine issue. I did not request this, but they did it anyway. I walk away extremely satisfied. Look, to make mistakes is human. No harm no foul. They have been earning my repeat business up to this point. My car is dirty, so I go to the car wash. On the way through I turn on the AC, as it is a hot day, and the car blows hot air through the vents. It does this with climate on or off. Not good as we enter summer. In the end, I took the car back. They fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I am still pretty satisfied. My only real complaint is that I wish they had double-checked everything before they sent me off with the car... twice It isn't a deal killer, I would visit them again. But I am a busy person, so I will just check everything before I drive away. read more

I am very particular about my car and very careful when it comes to allowing people to work on it. I met with Allen and the installer at The Stereo Store to discuss a complete replacement of the factory HK stereo system. Allen did a nice job explaining the differences between head units, amplifiers and speakers and how the system would sound in my car. After doing some independent internet comparisons and research, I chose a Rockford Fosgate amplifier and speakers along with an Alpine head unit at The Stereo Store, their prices were a little bit higher than the online stores; but I was able to operate and listen to the systems in their demonstration room which made the decision on just which components and speakers to buy easier, so paying a little more was well worth it. The system sounds terrific. This past weekend I opened up the panels to verify their installation work and it is first rate. All of the connectors are tight, all of the wires are routed properly and protected in plastic conduit. Everything is mounted correctly and the entire system is buttoned up properly. I've spent thousands with these guys in the past years and they won't help me out when a product fails that is still under warranty. They werent even willing to send in to the manufacture. I had them install a lower end head unit into my convertible and they did an excellent job. Quick, helpful, and priced as promised. Later on, I bought a Mercedes that had the stereo go out. I wanted to replace it with a unit that looked OEM, but they didn't have one. So I went back home and ordered one that happened to be Chinese. The directions were horrible and I knew I shouldn't attempt the install. So I went back over there and they installed it for me. No hassles, quickly, and priced as promised. They were able to bypass the fiber optics of the system and even made it work with my steering wheel controls. It behaves just like a stock stereo does but with the extra features of new. The prices were a tad high, but in the end I was glad I went there. I'd still have my dash apart trying to figure out all of the stuff. I partly expected a "you bought this somewhere else we can't guarantee anything", but they were professional and did it right. read more

Outstanding store! Hubby and I popped in on a whim about an hour and half before closing. We have an older car, 1992 Ford Crown Vic. We new the radio in the car was failing, but was not 100% it was the antennae. The hard part came trying to find a radio that didn't look totally out of place. Well enter Shane. He showed us a plethora of radios available, but made sure to help us pick A) one that would suit the car in looks and B) Wasn't priced outrageous. We also explained that we weren't sure about it being a bad radio vs antennae. He suggested let them to a test on the antennae and then we'd know for sure. If it was the radio we asked if they could install it that day, since we live so far away. He said they certainly could. So we headed down the street to get a bite to eat and 10 minutes later they called to let us know it was, in fact, the radio that was bad. 45 minutes after that we're called and the new radio is in and working great. It was such a pleasure working the folks here. Their work was clean, tidy and the new radio looks great! They even helped program the colors to match the older green color display on our car. I called the Stereo Store today to get a comparative quote on an in dash Stereo with Apple Car play for a relative of mine. I told him vehicle make And what I wanted in the unit. Salesperson Shawn politely took all of my information and gave me a quote. I was shocked and told him that I had already been quoted my lower. He said that it must be a cheaper model, it was exactly the same model. He then asked who the cheaper quote was through and I told him Best Buy. He said that if I buy from them I should be warned. I said warned about what. He said that Best Buy had a policy that requires them to wire it so that the integrated phone won't work if the car is moving. I said that can't be right. I asked if he meant the DVD player. He said no, the wire the integrated phone do you can't use it when the car is on the road/moving. So after ending that call I went to Best Buy and purchased the model I wanted for $300 less and the phones works fine when the car is moving. There is nothing acceptable about lying to the customer. I know where I won't shop in the future. read more
