The way that Will talked about their business and how they approach weddings was exactly what we were looking for. We are all about the music and having an MC and a DJ to help with the flow of the night just made sense. Even though we didn't end up choosing that venue for our wedding we left feeling as if we'd found our entertainment team.  When we met with James to discuss the options for our night we were excited to learn we could also add on a lighting package to make the event even more memorable. After talking through our wedding vision and the type of music we like we were paired with our DJ/MC team. This Is It hadn't been to our venue before so they met us there to make sure that our lighting plans could work with the layout. It was helpful to have James and Chris talk through everything with us.  We were all set to go and then COVID hit. Jodie manned the entire tent rental installation as if it was her own tent, her own farm, and her own wedding. Extremely PROACTIVE! She worked with Parkins Tent Rentals and our venue, Lauxmont Farms, to have all snow removed so the ground could be ready for the tent installation and to make sure our guests would not be trekking through mud. There was no need to worry about the weather with Jodie on our team. Jodie's attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness greatly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was a destination with many DIY elements and moving parts. Everything was a la carte. We had over thirteen vendors that required coordination the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, Jodie completely wrapped herself around the timeline, vendor roles, and our expectations to make our vision a reality. I thought that we could do a lot of the things that a wedding planner could do and save some money but at the same time we had so many things to worry about it would be less stressful for us at the wedding to have a wedding planner who we could rely on to make sure everything went smoothly. After everything has been said and done, I could not be happier that we decided to get one and that we decided to work with Rachel at Glass slipper. What I found most helpful was being able to check in with someone who actually knew what to expect. Neither of us had been married before so you can read all the books you want, sometimes you just need a little life experience to really guide some of the decisions your need to make and will likely never have to make again. Being able to talk to and email Rachel made this a little easier for us, went things were quoted and if it sounds a reasonable rate or when something went awry we were able to check in with someone who knew what you could do or alternatives. I think inevitably thing will go wrong the day of your wedding.
