I haven't been to Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury since I looked, over 20 years ago, for my own wedding. At the time it was dark, dated and we ended up booking elsewhere. We were invited to a wedding and I had heard how nicely it had been updated. Holy moley! The recent renovation has completely transformed the space, creating a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect setting for a special occasion. The food is absolutely delicious, with a menu that offers something for everyone. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The cocktail hour was phenomenal. The service is exceptional as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, and really makes you feel like a valued guest. Shadowbrook delivers a top-tier experience from start to finish. I can't imagine how much a wedding costs here but I highly recommend taking a look if you're looking for a venue! read more

The Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury is out of this world. I am beyond words in the experience at my son's wedding. The castle-like entrance with the high gates and awesome landscape was magnificent. The interior of the venue and the service matched the perception. The staff were caring and professional, and the cocktail hour drinks and food selections overflowed with choices. The main course offerings and choices were amazing. The wedding attendees have not stopped commenting positively about the entire experience and food choices. Went last night for my first time to event that was over 500 people. Shadowbrook was an A ++ from the minute we arrived to the time we left. The food was amazing. The staff at the bar. The service was so spot on. Everything came out hot. Staff worked super hard. EVERYTHING was yummy. The selection was so plentiful. There was so much food. The stations and the presentation. Wedding venue was 5 stars. outstanding. Beauty hair and makeup was one star for me. I am a Diane Keaton type person with straight hair. As mother of the groom they had me in curls. I didn't like it at all but did not want to make a fuss and concern the bride. What are these hairdressers thinking? Come on girls. I am 71 years old. Never liked curls in my entire life. WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. I attended my husband's uncle's wedding this evening, at this magical Mansion in New Jersey. Upon arrival the decor was astonishing, as if I walked into a fairytale just breath taking. Guests started with the wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony was followed by happy hour. Happy hour consisted of open bar, unlimited seafood, steak, lamb chops , pastas , fruits and more . I was full just by the happy hour session lol. The food was tasty and fresh . Then it was party time. The hall was decorated so nicely, from the flower arrangements to the lighting it all was a DREAM. As we were seated we had arugula salad with cheese and fig, unlimited bread and wine. Next was the main course. I had steak medium rare with mash potatoes and broccoli. My husband had garlic and herb chicken with mash potatoes and string beans. The food was out of this WORLD absolutely something to talk about. The DJ had the tunes going and the drinks were flowing. We danced the night away with love with family. We are a blended family so we had a mixture of Caribbean music and Italian music , no one could remain seating lol. Went to Shadowbrook for a wedding reception. I've been to some excellent facilities but this one is the best. The facility is beautiful. The food at the cocktail party is amazing. So many options and all delicious. They go out of their way to make the presentation very creative. I've never been to a reception where there wasn't a line at the bars but none here. The service is outstanding. It seemed as if a plate was empty then someone was there to clear it. I didn't think that I left room for the main course but I found a way to eat my Chilean sea bass that was also delicious. I'm hoping to attend another occasion at Shadowbrook. read more

What a beautiful venue. The inside is decorated with chandeliers and flowers. We were in one of the ballrooms and it was very grand. Might have been the best wedding meal I have had too. The pork chop is a must order. Not sure how they prepared it but it was perfectly cooked. So good. The food overall was fresh and even during cocktail hour everything was good. They do a nice job! My wife and I were recently married at The Shadowbrook. Our experience was incredible, from the first phone call we made to book a meeting , to the day after our wedding. Mark was professional, fun, and, and a well rounded expert at his craft. Mark and Amy picked up every call, and answered every text immediately while we were planning our wedding. The food, the drinks, the service was an experience on its own. My family and my wife's family were catered to hand and foot. My wife and I felt like royalty. Carl and Danny were great, they had eyes on us and the whole party all night long. At times it felt like they were teleporting, amazing how they could move so fast. I turned around and they were behind us, I couldn't even get the question or request out, they had the answer (amazing). Stephanie was a God send. She spent the whole night with my wife helping her, and being right by her side. She was attentive, kind, and an all around good person. Looking back we couldn't imagine our day without her. Every single detail is flawless. The food, drinks, atmosphere, staff, ambiance, everything is 10/10. The bridal suite to get ready in was so fun and the food was great. The bridal attendants during the day were awesome. As for my day of bridal coordinator, Stephanie, she seriously made my wedding. We had fun together, she made me so calm and took care of literally ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. She got whatever we needed. She was the best. Danny, the maître d, was super helpful and on point of everything. Marc was also such a key part in making our night absolutely flawless. They all had the timing down perfectly. It is such a smoothly run operation. As the bride, I seriously could just enjoy every single minute and know they were taking care of it all for me. Every single employee was kind and attentive. So many of our guests commented on this. Arlinda was the original key point person that sold us on the venue. The dance floor is huge. The room is spectacular. There is a stage for the band. My husband and I got married at Shadowbrook on November 7th, and we, along with our guests, cannot stop talking about how fabulous the night was. We booked our wedding back in January 2015, and had mixed feelings when we heard about the acquisition. Although we were more than happy with Shadowbrook's original service, style, and food choices, Amy, Jana, Matt and the entire gang from Seasons & The Venetian made sure we still received everything promised to us and more. They were overly accommodating when it came to menu selection, guests with food restrictions, children's activities, decorations, etc... This was certainly the most pleasant part of our entire wedding planning process. On the day of our wedding the staff did not skip a beat. The Maître D' and bridal assistant were there wherever we turned. Our guests raved about the 1 server per table service, as their drinks never got low & they never had to wait in line at the bar.. We were also told that that coming into the venue, they were well instructed on where to go and time line of events, leaving no room for confusion and making them immediately comfortable. I must also point out that the cocktail hour was AMAZING. The set up was beautiful and elegant, and the food was out of this world. I am not a pork or beef eater, but our guests raved about the rack of lamb, and the steak served at dinner. The next morning we came to pick up our decorations and things we left behind. The same staff from the night before came out to our car, as if in an assembly line, and packed our car up for us in minutes. We didn't have to lift a finger. My son was married last weekend at the Shadowbrook and I cannot say enough about how fantastic they were. From the coordination of the ceremony, to the food, the atmosphere, the gardens, the staff, the transportation, everything was perfect. We had friends and family come from all over, some from the west coast, the south, one couple from England and one from South Africa. Every single person raved about the Shadowbrook. We had the threat of a storm coming in, they called the bride in the morning to assure her that everything would be fine. The ceremony was outdoors but they moved the appetizers inside, leaving garden access open. As luck would have it the storm passed us but the staff was 100% prepared. I attended a wedding here last weekend. It was the nicest wedding I have ever attended. Starting by the happy hour which it actually lasted an hour and a half. They had sushi, bacon, lamb, etc. There was so much food I got full eating during happy hour and I purposely went all day without eating so I could eat at this evening wedding. When dinner was served I thought I couldn't eat anymore but everything looked so good I had to eat it. They served a salad with goat cheese and olive oil, it was amazing. One of three options for our entree was fish with smash potatoes. I don't remember what were the other options. They also served regular coffee, cappuccino and espresso besides the alcoholic drinks and champagne. They had three rooms full of dessert. It was like Willie Wanka's chocolate factory; each time I grabbed something I found something that looked even tastier. Overall, the wedding, the place and the staff were excellent. read more

I had both the privilege and the honor of attending a wedding here on 2/19/2017 and all I can say is wow. I mean speechless wow. This place is right out of a movie. I've been to my share of great weddings but this place just has so many things going for it. It seems that no detail is overlooked and all the minute details combined with the core of the festivity result in an unbelievable experience. So let's start with the property itself.... it is majestic and you feel like Great Gatsby would walk out of the side entrance any moment. Truly classy place combined with truly classy staff. The staff is detail oriented and are ninja like. They are there when you need something and fade into the background when you do not. The cocktail hour was so impressive in terms of both food and a generous bar that there was some doubt that my carnivorous instincts would last into the meal. Fortunately the food was both expertly prepared and so tastefully plated that I could not help myself. Overall, a really beautiful experience and classy affair. I almost don't know where to start with this review. We had my daughter's wedding this past July 6th and it was an amazing event to say the least.When we first went to see the venue we were blown away by the charm of this perfectly maintained mansion and it's grounds . We dealt with Amy...she was amazing . She told us " you have no idea what you are in for ...in a good way!" AND boy was she right. That actually turned out to be quite an understatement. Between Mark and Carl every detail was attended to ...they were great .The bridal suite was beautiful and there was champagne on ice for all to enjoy. My daughter wanted an outdoor wedding and it was the most gorgeous outdoor wedding we have ever seen. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the pergola where the ceremony took place was straight out of a movie. Once inside, the cocktail hour was over the top fantastic.The food was plentiful and delicious. There was plenty of room for all of our 160 guests to mill around OR sit and everyone raved about the cocktail hour. Matt was our Maitre D. I can't say enough good things about this young man. He made sure EVERYTHING was running smoothly and it did...the entire night...he was amazing. My daughter's Bridal Attendant , Stephanie...also great. Once inside the beautiful Oak Room for the reception it was finally sinking in that this place was a solid 20 on a scale from 1 to 10. The food...fabulous.The service...impeccable . Waht a night . We added the after party which was also incredible with Diner Food being passed for the last hour ...along with a popcorn machine and cotton candy station. WOW . Shadowbrook was the first venue my husband and I looked at for the wedding, I would have booked it immediately if that wouldn't have actually seemed insane. Instead we booked them two days later. Not only is the place stunningly gorgeous, the food is absolutely to die for! It's been a month since our wedding and we are still hearing glowing reviews from all our guests about how amazing the food was! If you are booking them- tell your guests not to eat for a week in preparation. The whole staff goes above and beyond for you- which they tell you they will from the moment you sign the contract, as does everyone. This team delivered beyond my wildest dreams. They took every phone call graciously, didn't try to upsell you, treated all our guests like family, ran a smooth and seemless dinner/cocktail service and didn't even break a sweat. I'd like to thank some members of the team individually. Because I just need to. Carl- The first person we met and the last face we saw that night. Carl is really with you every step of the way in designing your perfect day. He answers the phone as if he was always expecting your call and did not say no to a single, crazy bride thing I had to say or ask. I joked that I half booked the Shadowbrook because it's gorgeous and half for Carl. My fiancé made a lot of joke about how I would one day leave him for Carl, and that he would totally understand. The girl helped me use the bathroom, bustled my dress, changed my shoes, loosened my corset, made sure my parents were comfortable and happy, got drinks, made sure we ate, told me when I had lipstick on my teeth, kept our photographers moving, wrapped up all our cake cutters/champagne flutes/top tier of the cake/menus and other keep sakes/anything else you can think of. She did this all while making sure to include my maid of honor in it all. She did all of this without breaking a sweat and I am truly, truly and eternally grateful to have had her with me on the day of my wedding. I think it's safe to say we're best friends now (I should be so lucky). Judeine- thank you so much for everything. And good luck with the rest of school! The Shadowbrook itself is a breathtaking venue with history imbedded in every detail. Since we had a winter wedding, all of the decor for the holidays was absolutely beautiful. Except that I forgot the wedding license haha, but they even helped us get it all figured out! The food had to been the best food I have ever had! People are still raving about the cocktail hour and how full they were after dinner. The renovations they did to the house made it even more magical! They didn't change the beauty of the building or the special details, but they upgraded the floors and other things that needed some love! The place feels like a castle! I felt like a princess the entire time! STAFF Service- OUTSTANDING white glove service! To waiters to the valet people! Everyone was ready and on point the entire time! Amy- Amy is the initial person to help us tour and book the venue! She was amazing and always willing to help out! She even seemed to be a ghost that just would pop up when needed. At one point my husband was screaming to me that he needed his jacket and she was right behind him with it! You just have to mention things once to him! Nothing went wrong everything was perfect and smooth. He was social with my guests and there whenever we needed him. Nothing went wrong at all!!! Little Silver Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 held its annual dinner on Jan 29th. The venue, food, and most importantly service were tremendous. There was champagne waiting for our guests, and no one waiting for drinks, coffee, or anything else. I can only give it 5 stars? There are not enough stars in the sky for the Shadowbrook. The crowning grace of my daughter's perfect wedding day was the reception at the Shadowbrook. When we pulled up in the limousine the building had a special glow. When we stepped inside, the mansion looked spectacular. The bridal suite was the start of a remarkable evening. The service, the drinks, the chance to see the wedding party and the parents chatting and relaxing got the evening off to an excellent start. The cocktail hour was sensational. The food, the drinks, the flow between the rooms, and the attentiveness of the staff created an atmosphere where the food possibilities were endless. I cannot count the number of our guests who came up to me raving about the food. They kept saying "did you try this, did you try that" etc. The food was absolutely the best cocktail hour food of any wedding that I have ever attended. When we entered the main dining room the wedding experience was taken to another level. The chandeliers, the wall sconces, the fireplaces, the table settings, the white glove treatment provided an elegance that I had never experienced previously. Everyone raved about their choice of entree. People who told me they normally do not eat red meat were praising the Chateaubriand, my mother in law who normally does not eat fish was could not stop talking about the Chilean sea bass. The attentiveness of the wait staff was unparalleled and was a perfect complement to the sensational food. I thought I could not imagine the night getting better; I was wrong. It started with the "fire show" which was breathtaking. It progressed to the Viennese room. The Viennese room experience just put the entire wedding over the top. The wedding went from great to legendary. So many people, including my cousin who attended a 24 hour wedding event in Spain, said this was the best wedding they ever attended. My friends, who have unmarried daughters, said that with this wedding we had set the bar so high they were "mad" at us! My expectations for the Shadowbrook were very high. They were exceeded in every way on every level. The food, the atmosphere, and the extraordinary service, the attention to detail, created the dream wedding my wife and I wanted for our daughter.
