We ate there last Sunday for brunch - it was our second visit. I ordered the Chicken Biscuit which is hot chicken and pork gravy on biscuits. The gravy amounted to a small dollop on one of the two biscuits. The chicken was okay until I cut into the large breast and found it was gray inside (horribly undercooked). Unfortunately, I ate a little before l noticed it and ended up paying the price that afternoon and evening. Pretty nice setup with the live band, dance floor, bar, and good food. We started off with the jalapeño bacon rangoons and it was good but thought it needed more jalapeños, couldn't taste the heat at all. My BF ordered the hot chicken sandwich, that was actually really good but the shoestring fries were pretty much soggy. I had the chop chop salad with grilled chicken. Chicken was delicious but the dressing didn't impress me much. The pecan pie was on point and the server was very attentive so I'd probably go back again. read more

Cool country bar/saloon up in Happy Valley. Definitely has Nashville vibes to it. They had live music on Friday night, mainly country covers and a few of the bands own stuff. It was weird though, the band was like three songs in and decided to play the national anthem and had everybody stop eating and doing what they were doing and stand for it. A bit weird as it was 9pm and they were several songs in. Food was pretty good. Definitely a southern comfort food feel with large portions. Also plenty of beer and cocktails. Certainly a good country spot to hit up in the area. Hopefully a few more pop up around the valley. read more

The Stillery is right down the road from our house in Phoenix, and we were stoked when it first opened, a bar with live music every day of the week is pretty hard to find in our neck of the woods (a lot more PF Changs and Olive Gardens than I care for normally). I'll start with the Stillery Food! Everything we have had there has been high quality food with solid ingredients and flavor, but the portions are damn big (and priced that way too). The first couple of times my wife and I went in there we figured we wouldn't be able to frequent it as our bill was always sky high, but we have learned that 90 percent of their meals can easily be shared, which leaves more room on the budget for an extra whiskey or two, along with an extra hour of the wonderful live performers they bring through there. Atmosphere is great, much different than anything we have in the area (see above, lots of Olive Garden types). Our service has been hit or miss. If we sit at the bar, the bartenders are amazing, friendly, and attentive (Bar top seating tends to be our preference anyway), table service has been spotty, but better recently! Stillery definitely isn't going to give you the feel (or bill) of a dive restaurant that you can hit up every Wednesday, but it's a great atmosphere that can be a really fun time on occasion! One negative I will point out is that there is a CC service charge, which in itself is ridiculous to me, but they also don't mention it when you pay, just add it to the bill. That's the biggest thing I'd change about the place. read more

The food was terrible. The chicken plate was a piece of dried out breast with a hot sauce thrown on it, and the fries are so thin that by the time they got to us they were cold. Also I had four double buffalo trace and waters that totaled $112. I can literally buy the bottle for less than one drink cost. I don't mind spending money but that is ridiculous to charge that much, it's not even a high end bourbon. Our bill was $211.32 before tip for bar food at best. Sadly I wanted to like this place , went on a Sunday about noon - no wait seated on the patio. It was very very loud. Consider this when going live music is very live and the amplifiers are right by the tables. We ordered the turkey burgers and sadly this was a mistake. Cold centers and mushy with a hot Caesar salad served on the same plate. Summer in Arizona you need to be very careful with food temperatures. I never do this, but I did send it back. The manager came over and asked if we would want anything else we switched our order to grilled chicken sandwiches they came out on the same plate because the turkey burger mush was right underneath it, not the fault of the server she did a great job and she was compensated well. paid our bill and left, but I will not return. I hope you have a better experience. Don't order the turkey burger not worth it. Sad. I was violently ill with nausea and vomiting for the next 12 hours. read more

Love this place!!!! Food is very good and it is a very fun atmosphere (your opinion my vary if you do not like country music). We take all our out of town guests to the Stillery, always get positive reviews. I am partial to the Nashville hot chicken (in a sandwich, with Mac and cheese, or the pizza). It is so tasty. The fried pickles have been fan favorite for every group we have brought in. The deviled eggs are also good. Fish fry is enough to share One downside.... We met some relatives from Wisconsin who were staying in Surprise ans we drove down from Prescott. The restaurant is definitely set more for drinks and appetizers (small tables) but we wanted lunch so it was cramped for four people with drinks and food. We ordered pickle chips, Ceasar salad, Wedge salad, spicy meat pizza, and a prosciutto arugula pizza. First off the portions are large. The salads were enough for two and delicious. The pizzas were delicious too. Probably the tastiest I've had in Arizona. We had a great server named Tiffany. Very friendly and accommodating. The prices were not out of line and maybe next time we will have some alcohol and review the drinks. If down there again, I would not hesitate to eat there again. read more

I'm not sure this place is known for it's pizza, but it should be. Best I've had in a very long time. Also an excellent whiskey list (and some really excellent whiskeys that are not on the list). I was there tonight (6:30 pm) and a woman (mid 30s) was the one who helped me at the bar. i was picking up a phone in order and they "forgot" to put it through for over an hour so when i asked later at 7 if they could knock some money off of the bill for the delay the woman screamed in my face "WHY THE HELL WOULD WE GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT" well to this woman, i hope you know you yelled at a child (a minor) feel good about yourself. this is totally unacceptable. would recommend better customer service read more

Arrived at 4:15 last Friday 8/19 with a party of 6 hoping to get there early to get a table. Although the place was empty, they refused to seat us. All their 6 tops were reserved, most not until 6:30. Two 4 tops pushed together, not an option according to the manager Zach. When a 10 top opened up, Zach, said he wouldn't seat us there either because there was a good chance a party of ten would show up at some point. I kid you not. So instead of seating us, a group of 6 who love their food and drinks, they said we could wait and hope something might open up. (Literally most of the tables were empty and "reserved") We left. Went across the street to Salt. Had awesome service, great food and drinks, and the music was fantastic! Felt like we were in Mexico on vacation. Overall the hostesses and manager Zach were rude and acted like we were a bother for wanting to spend our money in their establishment. I hope they get it together soon. This was our second attempt at going to this restaurant. We didn't get to sit inside, but there was seating outside and although it was over 110, they had enough misters and fans to keep us cool. We could still hear the live music. It was very loud. It was good, but loud. The service was quite nice. Someone came to our table as soon as we picked it and brought us our menus. We were brought water right away. We ordered our beers and spiracha deviled eggs. The eggs were pleasantly spicy and the beer cooled the heat perfectly. For our meal I decided on the Hot Chicken Tenders dipped in Nashville sauce. My husband got the All American Sandwich. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you are 21+ do not even bother coming for Thursday dance nights. First, it's a $10 cover for everyone. As someone who goes dancing a lot, I can understand a $5 cover or a $10 cover for the under 21 crowd, but $10 on top of drinks was ridiculous. It truthfully is screwing the bartenders because no one in my group wanted to tip on top of the cover. Second, it's 18+ so get ready for highschoolers hitting on you with zero dance floor etiquette, long lines at the door for ID checks, and teenagers in skimpy outfits. Third, the dj was terrible. Half the night he played not country music and it was very clear he was catering to a specific group of dancers there. Super rude when we requested a country song (at a country bar??? Apparently an insane request). I absolutely love the stillerys happy hour and brunch, yummy food and drinks at good prices and great live music, but if you're 21+ avoid this place at all costs on Thursday dance nights. read more

Everything is overpriced - a bowl of romaine with tomatoes, chicken, and dressing is NOT $19, and no interview in Restauranteur Weekly about price hikes on supplies will convince me otherwise. (The salad was made wrong by the way, I just didn't feel like trying to remedy the situation at this point). We got their wings without realizing they were $19. It came out with about 8 wings. Not worth it at all. Their "baked cheese" was $15 and was basically just a couple spoonfuls of ricotta cheese with some marinara served with old bread that had green stuff on it they claimed was pesto. The only thing that made our night bearable was our server. She was working her butt off and was extremely sweet. Even while dealing with the big table behind us who were just letting their kids run around everywhere. Won't be back. Recommend enjoying your night elsewhere. We were so excited when we walked in. Ambience is awesome, great country bar. Looking at menu prices seems very high $17 chicken tenders and $20 for burger and fries, no big deal if food is awesome. Buffalo has better tenders for less and buger was eh at best. Rather have 5 guys.
