After passing this place on and off for nearly 12 years I finally stopped here! Food; I ended up getting an apple pie ice cream which was the perfect fall treat. Their multitude of ice cream flavors and the diversity of flavors I saw people ordering seemed to suggest that everything they make is good. Service: the service was your standard ice cream parlor service, but they were definitely hustling! Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]what drew me to the place was the cute western/saloon style facade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decent amount of space inside and great overall flow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good ice cream and a large variety of options. The price is very fair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gets busy quick over the summer months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Local favorite.

Was ready to give it 5 strong stars after my first visit but didn't get around to reviewing it until my second. Went from a strong 5 to a solid-ish 4. On my second visit, I violated my own cardinal rule. Typically, when I go to an ice cream place and the flavor I want is getting low, I usually walk out. Decided not to in this case and paid the price. Got their signature flavor (fudge brownie ripple or whatever it is called) truly spectacular the first time. Great chewy brownies, silky smooth ice cream. Close to perfection. Second time around it was a bit on the icy side and not nearly as good. I know I broke my own rule but if you don't want to be judged on bottom-of-the-barrel ice cream - yank out the tub when it gets low. Just such a letdown after the first experience. Will still go back.

Still thinking about this delicious ice cream! Taylor's is the perfect place to grab a cone to enjoy while strolling down Main street in Chester. The selection is huge with every and any flavor imaginable. All of the classics, and then some really funky flavors like yoohoo and unicorn. There are also alternatives like sherbert, dairy free and even dole whip. I was going to go cookie dough, but when I saw the cookie monster (cookie dough AND cookies and cream) I just had to go for it. Turns out my decision was a good one. The ice cream was stuffed with gobs of cookies and was truly decadent. The line moves quick and the staff was so sweet and pleasant. Overall, this was a really wonderful experience and is easily some of the best ice cream I've had. Can't wait to come back for more flavors, but it'll be hard to avoid getting that cookie monster again.

We finally got a chance to try Taylor's. I have to say, I was impressed! They certainly have a large variety of ice cream flavors, a little something for everyone. I went for the soft serve swirl and my husband tried the raspberry sugar free, delicious. What also impressed us was the two young employees behind the counter. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Taylor's is an adorable ice cream parlor right in the middle of downtown Chester.

Service was great! The line went by very quickly. So many flavors to choose from. I definitely want to go back to try more.

This local ice cream shop in Chester is a good reminder of small town values. College banners decorate the walls to honor their former scoopers and local snacks along the ice cream are sold as well. Definitely be prepared to wait in line if you come here in the evening. The line does move along but it will be long. They have a ton of flavors and about 8 different of kinds of cones to choose from. I ordered a scoop of chocolate peanut butter cookie dough. It was creamy chocolate ice cream with big chunks of chocolate covered cookie dough and globs of peanut butter. The PB added good flavor but it was a frozen rock which was very difficult to eat so I ended up throwing it away. Cookie Monster was also a hit in our group as was cotton candy. If you're in Chester stop in for a scoop you'll be happy you did!

I have been to Taylor's Ice Cream Parlor several times but on my last trip I got there too early. They were closed and I was disappointed. Having a scheduled business meeting, I could not wait. This review is based upon my other visits. I like old fashioned ice cream parlors, call me a sentimentalist. Taylor's has all the ambiance of an old time ice cream establishment from the building outside to the stools in front of the counter. What I also like about their ice cream is that it is homemade. The texture is smooth not icy and there is a generous about of fruit , mint or chocolate chips. In my opinion that is what should generate the flavor. Portion size is competitive with most ice cream parlors and exceeds some others. Think, about $3.75 for a scoop. I like the fact that they have an extensive list of ice creams both hard and soft. The last time I visited Taylor's Ice cream parlor, I ordered a 20 oz. milk shake and that prompted my visit this time. I get to Chester once and awhile so I'll check their business hours more closely

What isn't here? This farm has something for everyone!…read more We visited for a friend's kid's birthday party, but we've also been here before for strawberry picking. On a nice summer day, it's a great place to spend a few hours with family. If you have kids, they'll absolutely love it. There are pony rides, horse rides, wagon rides, bounce houses, and lots of farm animals like chickens, roosters, sheep, cows, horses, alpacas, and more. You'll also find tractors, haystacks, and all the little farm-themed things that make the place fun. Just remember--it's a farm, not a theme park! Depending on the season, you can pick strawberries, apples, berries, and other fresh produce. There's also live music, and the food options are surprisingly good. One thing I noticed was that they host a lot of private events. During our visit, I saw several birthday parties, a baby shower, and other family gatherings. They have spaces that you can rent for different occasions. Parking: Plenty of parking is available. It's not paved, but there's lots of space on grass and gravel, and we had no trouble finding a spot. Overall, this is a wonderful family-friendly farm with plenty to do. Whether you're visiting for fruit picking, a special event, or just a fun day outdoors, it's definitely worth a visit.

I hear it can…read moreget crowded on the weekends, but on Thursday when we arrived a little before noon, it wasn't bad. They had a steady stream of newcomers but not too crowded. It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good.
