I got the pad Thai and papaya salad. I thought both were good but not mind blowing. They seemed to lean on the side of sweet for both dishes. That being said, I did appreciate the level of sauciness for both I think the papaya salad almost had too much peanuts on top and was hard to mix in the plate it came in. Everyone has told me about this place but last night was the first time I've ever gone. What a nice little gem in the heart of Phillipsburg! It's like a romantic oasis located in a strip mall. This was a great stop. Traveling with kids and having 1 kid and myself needing gluten free food is not easy and this restaurant and their helpful and friendly staff catered for that. Their food tastes great but I got too small an amount this time around for what I paid. They kept increasing their prices and making their portions smaller. I used to have to take some home, enough to be a good portion of lunch the next day. Not the case anymore. La Kang's is a better bang for your buck price wise now. They get two stars because the food tasted great and they were nice but they have much smaller portions now making their dish needlessly more expensive. read more

Such a cool place tucked away off the highway in Pburg area. You can tell a lot of time and care go into the ambiance with the decor and plants and flowers. It's a vibe! It wasn't spicy although it was indicated to be spicy and is usually is. It was lacking that smoky flavor and I wasn't a huge fan of the way the beef smelled. The Thai spring rolls were good and crispy. The Thai iced tea was refreshing and sweet. My husband enjoyed his meal a lot which was a chicken curry and typically likes the food he orders from here.
