Everyone has told me about this place but last night was the first time I've ever gone. What a nice little gem in the heart of Phillipsburg! It's like a romantic oasis located in a strip mall. I was surprised and impressed! Super clean. Super roomy. And great service! GREAT service! We ordered a couple of things from Tom Kha to Coconut Rice. Everything was perfect! And the price was right too! Only one snag...since it was an hour to closing AND they were closed the next day, they didn't have any jasmine rice.

Peaceful vibe in beautiful restaurant during mid-afternoon lunch. Love that chicken satay is made with chicken breast and charred good. Chicken can get dry when prepared that way. Peanut sauce goes long way to make dry chicken breast taste better. Papaya salad was good. Dressing was watery.

Basil fried rice with shrimp - so tasty with some heat!

We came here for my granddaughters birthday dinner (her choice second year in a row) it's one of her favorite restaurants! She loved the pink drink, her standard pho with tofu, golden triangles, and they brought out a flaming ice cream for her birthday desert. The food is consistently delicious, wait staff is also consistent...so one of our regular go to restaurants! Nice indoor & outdoor seating. It's byob so bring a bottle for a special occasion.

Best Thai in the Phillipsburg area. Not everything is a home run, but there are number of very strong menu options.

We were only able to order takeout because the place is reservation-only. The owner, Kat, is very friendly and sweet. She described the philosophy driving the restaurant as a cozy place where the limited amount of tables shouldn't burden the customer experience, hence their reservation policy. It's nice to see a business prioritize guest experience over rushing out as many covers as possible. The main point is the food. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Kra Prow, Pad Khing Soo, and Penang Curry. Everything was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and we were left feeling very satisfied. Best Thai I've had since Lotus of Siam in Vegas. Very highly recommended!

Thai at the Palace is both affordable and a good value. It's in an old soda fountain bar that has been creatively decorated to transport you to East Asia. One of the owners waited on us and was very kind and personable. You really felt like you were dining at someone's home. We had the curry puff and Thai spring rolls to start, followed by the Pad Preow Whan and Lard Na. Both were generous helpings with very fresh-tasting ingredients. We were going elsewhere for dessert, but would like to return to try the mango with sweet sticky rice.

The thai bubble tea was very good. I was pleased with how fresh and soft the tapioca bubbles were. It was too easy to drink it all! The sushi pizza was also very good. I liked the combination of flavors and the sweet potato was a new touch to the dish for me. It tasted very fresh and had good flavors. It was my favorite out of everything I tried. The tuna avocado roll and Philadelphia roll were good as well. The fish tasted fresh. The rolls that had sliced fish tasted much better than the mixed/blended fish rolls. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll tasted a bit stale. Both had the "crunchy" pieces mixed in. The crunchy pieces itself weren't crunchy and it is was seemed to bring down both the taste and overall texture. I think the rolls would have been much better without it. As for the spicy mayo, it was hands down the best spicy mayo I've had. Extremely flavorful and perfectly seasoned.

This place always intimidated me because from the outside, it just looks like someone's house. A brownstone on the corner of a busy street with plain signage. But I'm glad I tried it. And just like the outside, when you walk in, the restaurant is like walking into someone's house. Pictures of iconic Thai people are hung on the walls and above the fireplace. Trinkets and Lunar New Year decor. Small statues and figurines. It's just like home. Warm and cozy and dare I say, romantic. I MUST come back at night on Date Night. For it's age, the place is immaculate. Even behind the radiator pipes. Not a spec of dust on the floor. I got the standard Pad Thai because I like yo have a baseline. It was good. Not as saucy as I'd like but tasty nonetheless. Really cheap with the peanuts but super generous with the tofu. And I'm soooo happy they fry the tofu. Everything was fresh and the spice level was on point. Prices were good and the portion was big. I must come back! Just a word of caution it's street parking almost near the circle so spaces are sparse. Pack your patience on a weekend.
