Unfortunately both my matchas were grainy and even after mixing the drinks a bunch. I didn't really get the jasmine taste from the jasmine matcha but yuzu did come out for the yuzu matcha. I took the suggestion from the menu and added simple syrup to the jasmine matcha and it made it very slightly sweet (if you're into a less sweet option this would be a good one for you). The cookie flavor was fine and not too sweet. I'm not following a gluten free or vegan diet so I probably won't order it again. It was a little dry for my taste as a lot of those kinds of baked goods tend to be. I think it's worth a try and I would suggest it if you're in the area. Even I was disappointed in the texture of the drink, I think I'll return and try other things and see if they iron out some of the kinks because I think it has a lot of potential

Since it was our first time there, we took some time to look at the menu and came with questions when we ordered. I saw that they have a matcha latte on the menu but nowhere did I see any specials or what syrups could be added to the matcha. Because of this, I asked the person checking us out if they had any syrups and if they could be added to the drinks. He listed off the syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, etc) and also included a "strawberry puree" in the list. So I considered that and said I would order it with the strawberry puree. The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I responded "yeah, I guess so but is that on the menu because I don't see it". Then she confirmed it's not on the menu. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him. It was just an odd interaction rubbed me the wrong way though and left an uncomfortable feeling for me. We were going to enjoy our stuff there but after that we decided to take it to go. I'm not sure if I will return as it is not a local spot for us and we made a special visit out there to try it. My drink was good and the macaron was also yummy. Once inside, I realized they're still in their soft opening phase, having friends and family test things out before the grand opening. Even so, the staff could not have been sweeter -- they welcomed the public in to try some of their drinks and coffee, which was such a nice surprise. I ordered the peanut butter latte and a biscotti, and both were excellent. The espresso was super smooth and balanced perfectly with the peanut butter flavor -- not too sweet, just really well done. The biscotti was also amazing, and I heard they source it from a well-known biscotti spot in Pennsylvania. Their pastries are locally made too, which is always a plus. Really excited to come back and try more of the menu once they officially open. Fanwood definitely has something special coming!

Good variety of pastries , tried a chocolate chip muffin which was okay, and an iced coffee which for my taste was a little weak. However the shop is still working out the kinks and I would totally come back and give it another try to add into my coffee rotations.
