I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that others deserve a heads up before booking. On The Go came recommended by a friend but ended up being by far the worst moving experience I've had. My wife was 8 months pregnant and I hired movers specifically so she wouldn't have to deal with the stress of moving. Instead, the crew showed up nearly 4 hours late and was clearly underprepared. We had been up early, packed and ready by 9am, as the crew was supposed to arrive 9:30-10am. They arrived at 1pm. I had to reschedule elevator bookings at both buildings four times, and my wife missed her window to rest and eat. Not exactly the "easy move" I paid for. The quoted job time was 3-4 hours total. Loading a small one-bedroom alone took 4 hours, largely because one of the two movers was clearly inexperienced and required significant rework throughout. I understand people have learning curves -- I just don't think customers should absorb the cost of on-the-job training. I watched him smack my expensive things on walls and the floor with little care. At the end of loading, the crew asked to stop at a fast food restaurant. I had already flagged the time crunch multiple times. We ended up skipping the meal but it came across as tone-deaf. Unloading took over 2 hours despite a verbal promise of 1 hour -- and that's with me actively helping. Total time: over 6 hours to move 15 minutes away. The last time I moved with the same belongings (Seattle to Kirkland), a different crew finished in under 4 hours, including the time to transport, and with zero damage. Several irreplaceable items were chipped or otherwise damaged during the move. When I raised it with the company, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do, but they offered to mail a $25 check. That was nearly a month ago. No check has arrived, despite multiple follow ups. The company did offer a partial discount on the move after I followed up, though it took several weeks to receive it. I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't come close to addressing the full picture -- the delay, the damaged items, the time lost, or the stress added to a situation that was already sensitive. All of that could have been solved with proper planning and training. This was just not a good experience from top to bottom. read more

I've used moving companies in the past and this was the only one that asked the qualifying questions to ensure my money and time was saved. They truly look at it from an ROI standpoint on both sides. The more efficient they are, the more moves can be executed, with that, the more efficient they are, the less cost hits the customer. The formula is simple, the customer service is lights out and the care they take with your belongings is unreal. They even were able to store a piano I had no room for and gave me a discount. the move took a lot longer than originally stated. Movers were one hour late but they should have sent three people instead of only two it would've gone much faster. One of my chairs was broken and the company is offering me $20 to chair which I will never be able to amount of money. Very disappointed and upset. Will not recommend further. We used On the Go for our move earlier this month. This was our first time using any moving service and we would definitely recommend to others in the area. I requested a quote on the website and within the hour someone called and got us scheduled. On the day of our move, their truck couldn't make it up our steep driveway due to snow and ice. Our experience with this moving company was disappointing! - The crew arrived with incorrect pickup and delivery instructions, requiring us to text the driver the correct details. - The initial estimate was for 4 hours, but the move ended up taking 7.5 hours. - While the 3 man crew was friendly and hardworking, they were also booked for another move at 1:00 PM, which led to them rushing through the process. This resulted in damage to furniture, art frames, and a broken lamp. - The lead mover had to call the owner to inform him they couldn't make the 1:00 PM appointment. The owner seemed upset, and the lead repeatedly commented, "I guess I'm going to get fired," which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. - Management underestimated the time needed to transport items from the truck to the elevator, into the apartment, and to unwrap everything properly. After a few months of having my belongings stored in their warehouse I relocated and I cannot imagine the transition being faster, smoother and actually super fun if I had done this on my own. My truck was loaded the night before, it was ready to go in the morning, they arrived 15 minutes earlier and they were constantly communicating updates to me, including "on the way delivery" These guys showed up with the greatest attitude , friendly, respectful and dynamic. It is going to cost as much as the packing/moving services to replace or repair the items destroyed or damaged. I hired On the Go for packing/moving services to help with a move within the same apartment complex. The movers were nice and the booking process was smooth. Given the very short distance of the move, I went with the basic insurance but their coverage is paltry. They damaged a $1400 computer monitor beyond repair and only offered $15 for it. A wooden desk, filing cabinet, and outdoor table all have noticeable scrapes and damage. Other items were broken that were not well-packed and I'm sure there would have been more damage if I hadn't unpacked everything either the same day or the following day given the way that heavy items were packed in with delicate ones. Cables were also packed in different boxes from the items they went with, which has led to a lot of guesswork over which cord goes which what electronics. I moved across the entire country last year and didn't have this much stuff destroyed or damaged. The damage wasn't apparent until after the movers had left. Even though there was decent service, this was overall the most disappointing experience I've ever had with movers and I will not be using On the Go again. read more

My company has been using On The Go Moving & Storage exclusively since the company owner was so impressed with a very complicated personal move they did for her, moving 4 people to multiple locations in a single day that included storage units and a dump run. Our most recent move was a simple one, made more complicated by some last minute rules imposed by the new lessor of an office in Northgate. Once again, however, On The Go was on the ball and made the necessary changes with professionalism and grace. On the day of the move, the guys with the truck were on time, respectful, and friendly. They picked up the contents of our new office quickly and efficiently, then got us all moved in at the new location in just minutes over what it took to load the truck to begin with. Personable, knowledgeable, and efficient, they more than earned their tips (and I wish it could have been more). I've never been happier with a company than I am with On The Go! Avoid at all cost. One of the movers showed up high and hadn't slept all night. I found him in the kitchen eating our food and had to ask the manager to send him home. Multiple items were scratched or otherwise damaged. I also made the mistake of storing some items with them. Only to later find out that I would have to wait a business week to access my storage. I recently retired and after living in the same place for ten years the stress was indescribable. I called On The Go Moving & Storage for my move from Redmond to Everett. This company is incredible!!! I cannot say enough about the team. Jeremy (office coordinator) was easy to work with. He projects a calm professional attitude and a caring heart. Jeremy was always available to me and went out of his way to hold my hand through the stress and rigor of relocating myself after living in the same place for ten years. The two men who came to move me (led by Jesus) were "all stars". They were quiet, efficient and friendly. They carefully wrapped and padded my items before loading them into the moving truck and unwrapped things upon arrival to my new home. They removed the trash and thanked me for allowing them to help me. Finally, the entire move cost much less than I was expecting to pay. I didn't even believe this level of customer service was possible in 2025 but it is. Good communication while setting up - very late to show up without any communication (I finally called in and they found the crew). Efficient and friendly, not equipped with tools to take the tv off the wall so we had to deal with it separately. A couple of low key damages, but they also managed to get some large, heavy items into a small space. We really liked the crew, they did have another person show up who smelled highly of pot - could have been from a different day/time, but is probably not a great way to make you feel secure that things will be handled well. I have used these guys a few times in the past, the service was okay, and it didn't come into my mind again until recently. We have recently moved into a new office building, and we started to notice our dumpsters are always full for some reason. I run a software company, so as you can imagine, we have routine trash and that is about it. We were annoyed enough to decide to install a security camera aiming at our dumpsters. And sure enough we caught these guys driving their trucks at the end of their run dumping into our dumpster. Needless to say we called the company and told them to knock it off. They sweared up and down and told us it would never happen again. Then on December 8th, 2019 this happened. These guys not only broke the locks we placed on the dumpster, they proceeded to tear off the fiber glass lid altogether. I have some screen captures loaded here. Adding insult to injury, told me to call the cops if I wanted as a dare. We did. Just think twice before you do business with a company that has no ethics. If you are going to be asked to pay for a dump fee, ask where it is really going to. As an aside, Yelp has already tried to remove my review once. Let's see if they try again. Working with On the Go was great. Excellent communication. I received an email and phone call before the scheduled arrival time. I then got a call from the driver that he was leaving their office. Moving is stressful enough but I never was concerned that they would not show up. The movers, Rene and Parker were very polite and friendly. They wore their masks the entire time. I thought they were very careful with our boxes and furniture. The amount of time we requested was plenty and I was charged what I was quoted I will use them again. Update: we used On the go again In late August to move back to our house. It was the same excellent service for scheduling, communication, follow up on the day of move. I used this company once before and had a good experience. Today it was a disaster. I contracted with them to move two pieces of exercise equipment from the second floor bonus room of my home to the garage. I explained it was tight coming down the stairs. Did they listen? NO. They gouged and scratched a stained fir door and door jam. When I called to discuss what happened the person answering the call was dismissive and when I asked if they were going to call me back this afternoon to discuss how the damage would be corrected, I was told they didn't like my attitude. Well, I didn't like the damage done to my home. Additionally, they didn't pay attention to the BOL and loaded the equipment on the truck even though I clearly told them when they arrived that the equipment was being moved into the garage. So they then had to spend time unloaded and moving everything once again. read more

We recently moved with On the go movers. I would not recommend them because the boxes were dumped randomly. We had labeled 90% of the boxes and directed them where the boxes should go, but please look at how the boxes were stacked right in front of the door. I would think it is common sense to not block a door when you stack boxes. Across all rooms, boxes were just randomly kept right where you enter, we had to move a great deal of boxes just so we could enter / walk around. Clearly we weren't working with professionals. Our walls ( stairway) has bern scratched mostly due to negligence. I would NOT recommend them at all. read more

I used this company for my last move, I was moving from a single one bedroom apartment and had sent photos of all items in advance. The move in and of itself was fine, however when they were done, I was charged $1,500 instead of the $750 I was quoted. TL;DR On the Go damaged 9 pieces of our furniture, then played the "you paid for the bare minimum insurance so all you get is a pittance" card. This is unacceptable. On the Go's competitors will likely actually take care of your furniture, or work something out with you after the fact. I know because I have used other companies. If I could give a 0 I would. Do not use this company for your move. This review is coming from someone who has moved 9 times in the past 20 years . . . so I have some experience in this area. In the previous 8 times, I have had a total of two items broken, and the moving companies bent over backwards to replace the items. Not with On the Go Moving. Furthermore, On the Go Moving gives you three insurance options, which is a new phenomenon to me, but I took the minimum in good faith that they would take care of our furniture. The other two insurance levels would cost more overall for the move, placing On the Go's pricing in line with their better competitors. But, I figured if I had 1 or 2 items that were damaged, then I would be OK with that. Yes, I know, lesson learned. You get what you pay for. This logic would have worked out, except On the Go was arguably negligent with our furniture; they wrapped very few items in blankets or anything and seemed to be in a hurry. They caused damage to one of the thresholds of the house we were moving out from (pictures of the most egregious damage is included) and now my recliner, which was hard to find, needs to be replaced (also pictured). I should have withheld payment, but I did not, thinking that I would be taken care of. Once I had settled up, On the Go basically said that since I got the minimum insurance all they owed me was a fraction of what the damages were worth. Again, if it had been 1 or 2 items I would not be making this review. But 9 items? So I tried to work out at least some level of refund as a customer service engagement, rather than an insurance discussion. No go. I was told that the owner (this guy - https://www.linkedin.com/in/seattlemoving/ ) does not do refunds, even partials for customer dissatisfaction issues. To be fair, they have communicated to me that they will fix the threshold, but as far as my furniture is concerned, I have to deal with the damage or replace my furniture with my own money. We used On The Go Moving to move our household items. Numerous times through out the move the movers angrily argued with each other. At the end of the move, the last thing they needed to was put the master bed together. The Mover was in a hurry, argued with another guy about how to put it together and managed to break 3 of the 4 drawers. Pretty unfortunate.
