Still don't understand what this place is? Reception hall? Rumor there is a bar-bar but that part not open when they have a band. The reception area is very thin on bourbon and craft beers which is what they promote. Service thin too but gave good effort. Food good just not many choices. Bands sound good, good dance floor. Just an odd place - felt like I crashed a wedding reception!

This is such a wonderful addition to Muskego. They make vegan friendly food, and the cooks are very aware of vegan food and how to make food to fit your needs. The inside looks beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and provided me a great first ever glass of Bourbon.

We took a chance and tried a new place for a fish fry and were very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted at the door by who I can only assume was the owner with a genuine smile and it made you feel very welcome. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 beers that we hadn't had before and loved them! A peach Hefeweizen and a Kentucky bourbon ale. Delish! If you are into bourbons they have a huge selection. Also the craft beer selection was great. We ordered the fish frys. One breaded and one beer battered. We both actually preferred the beer battered which is different for us. Both were great. The only critique I can offer was the coleslaw was boring. No flavor at all. Service was great although they were slow due to Muskegos first football game. We will be back!

YUMMIE! This was our first visit to The Suburban Bourbon. I can't wait to return and try some other dishes. The Cosmo's were made to perfection. We ordered the beer battered Fish Fry with fries. The fish wasn't over battered. I enjoy my fish with malt vinegar and luckily they had it. So delicious! Additionally, it was a delightful surprise that we didn't have an hour wait for a table on a Friday night for a Fish Fry. We were seated immediately. Our server, Richard was most accommodating. His description of other menu items has us anxious to return! Fish Fry Lovers - Add this place to your list.

Nice atmosphere and a great selection of bourbon & gin. Pete, the bartender, is very personable and seemed happy to answer our many questions. Will absolutely visit again. We only did the Buffalo Shrimp app, but it was delicious! Can't comment any further on the food.

In the last several years they have gone through some significant renovations, especially with the outside seating areas. There is the restaurant on the first floor, and an event space on the second floor. Made 6:30 reservations for Wednesday for 4, and got right in. Had a table by the large windows that look for the patio and lake. Very pretty spot. Got greeted immediately by our server, who did a great job the entire evening. (thanks Laura). Got us water, took our drink order, along with an order for Onion Rings. The onion rings didn't take long, and they were excellent. Crispy with an interesting texture, hot, and served with a side of ranch (could have used more of that). The drinks were good, with the exception of one glass of a beer flight which was super flat, and was happily replaced by the server. For entrees we got: BLT, Blacked Fish Tacos (with extra bacon), Pesto Encrusted Salmon, and Salmon Power Salad. A note about the Pesto "Encrusted" Salmon. It's not really "encrusted", more like a scoop of pesto placed on top of the Salmon, and they finished under a broiler? Good but not what was expected. Didn't take that long for the food to arrive. It was all very good. The tacos were fresh, great flavor and hot. The fries that came with it, were NOT as not as I would like. Both grilled salmon entrees were also very good. The Power Bowl was excellent, with lots of fresh greens and other yummy add ins (goat cheese, blueberries, etc) A very good evening, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups.

This time it was a Sunday evening. Not that busy. A few people at the bar, and two other tables of people. Got seated right away. Waters, and menus were close behind. Ordered several cocktails and a beer. My Poloma was good, but nothing special. We ordered a Wisconsin Pub Burger, Smoked Brisket Sandwich and a cup of minestrone soup. Didn't take to long for the food to come out. Everything appeared to be freshly made, good temperatures, and the portions were generous. That sandwiches were both good. The burger was medium-rare as ordered and well constructed. Great taste. The fries were hot, and had the right amount of salt. The brisket sandwich was good, but the meat was skimpy for the size of the bun. The soup was good. Not much impressed with the service. There was one person running several tables. Felt like they were new and didn't know much about the menu items or the drinks. Did check on us once after serving our food, but that was it. Had to flag them down for another drink, extra napkins and the bill. A good experience, but nothing that inspired us to want to come back soon.

I've been here twice now, once for a Friday fish fry, and once for regular dinner…read more For the fish fry, we started out with calamari as our appetizer. It was very good, and the marinara it was served with added that extra little zing. For my meal, I got the Sampler, which is walleye, perch, and cod.It comes with tartar sauce, cole slaw, rye bread, and your choice of potatoes. I chose fries. I don't eat cole slaw, but the rest of the plate was delicious and very filling. The fishes were all breaded with the perfect amount and fried to a perfect golden brown. I, personally, would have preferred a bit more creamier tartar sauce, but it was good. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like they should be. Hubs got the walleye plate with potato pancakes, but said that the fries were better. On our second visit, we went on a Saturday night. Hubs wanted the prime rib. I chose the Jaeger Schnitzel and had a Mary Pickford as my cocktail. Hubs said the cocktail was perfect, but I thought it was too heavy on the rum. It's made with Bacardi, not my favorite, and I thought I would taste more pineapple. The meal starts off with your choice of soup or salad, and we both chose the soup. It was tomato soup with chicken and rice tonight, but it does change daily. I'm not a fan of tomato soup, but this was delicious! The chiken and rice were both thoroughly cooked to a nice level of softness. The Jaeger Schnitzel (pork) was pounded thin and evenly breaded with a nice coating that formed a uniform crust. It was topped with a mushroom gravy, which I wish there had been just a little bit more of. Overall, it was very nice. The plate comes with a healthy side of red cabbage and spaetzle. Both were good, but Melanie L. nailed it....I couldn't place the herbal taste of the cabbage until my husband referred me to her review. It was definitely cloves. I didn't think it was heavy handed, but just enough that you could definitely taste it. As for the spaetzle, it could have used a little bit of salt. I let it soak up some of the juice from the cabbage to compensate, and that worked fine. When you order dinner, you get a small relish tray and a basket of rolls and breadsticks. I didn't eat much of that, because I didn't want to get filled up before my actual dinner arrived. That being said, I made it through, but I was STUFFED. If you are a big eater, you probably would have been fine, but I just can't eat a lot in one go. FYI, they do have boxes, if you need to take something home. I had never been to Wegman's, so I can't compare the two, but I can say that Ricky's is definitely doing something right. It has been busy on both of the nights I visited, but service was attentive, efficient, and the timing was excellent between dishes. Our servers were friendly and helpful with recomendations when asked. We will definitely be back. 129/2025
