    Nuez Raspado and Coconut Raspado
    Yesenia F.

This place has the best shaved ice in town !!! The serving for the small size is great and they aren't stingy with the syrup/fruit. You get flavor throughout the whole cup unlike other places that runs out within the first two sips. They carry a large selection of flavors/fruits! So far I've tried the nuez, guava, and coconut and I can't wait to try the others! I don't mind driving all the way to that side of town because it's so worth it. The owner did mention he plans to open another spot on the east side of town so super excited about that! 10/10 recommended! :)

When's it's 106 degrees outside and you just finished cleaning out the garage for the wife, this makes the day 100x better! I ordered a large pina fresca chamango and the wife got a medium tamarindo. For the price, we got a ton!!! We could barely finish it all. They are definitely not stingy with the fruits. Mine had a good amount of strawberries, pineapple, and mango mixed throughout. The drink was very refreshing and not overly sweet too. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back soon.

I think it's the tostilocos or mangolocos? But so good!

If you are dining in, someone comes inside to take your order, or you can wait outside for to-go orders. The day we went, the power to the building was out, so we ate in a cold room lit only by whatever gloomy light came in from outside. That didn't bother us, because things happen, and because the service was great anyway. I opted for the choriqueso style chilaquiles , bathed in a mix of gooey cheese and chorizo. You also have a choice of three different sauces (mild, medium, hot) eggs cooked to order, and beans. My food was delicious and flavorful, the medium heat was exactly that and I appreciated it. Eggs and beans were good too. They have a fridge with bottled drinks and a hot water container where you can make your own coffee. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they even offered suggestions since it was my first time. The prices may be a little steep foot some, $45 for two people, but supporting local, delicious food is worth it! By the way, there is a $1 fee to use cards to pay, so bring cash or you also have the option to pay using Zelle. I will definitely be back soon.

That can really make or break the dining experience, right? The line to order stretched all the way to the door, which put people standing right in the middle of everyone else trying to enjoy their meal. The start of the line is on the right side, but there really isn't enough room for people to line up comfortably. Another thing I noticed during today's visit was the inconsistency with the menu. Last time I ordered the Chicken Afritada, but today the gentleman told me they didn't have it. When I asked when they would carry it again, he said they have a rotating menu and they honestly don't know. I thought that was a little odd. Unfortunately, today's food was also really salty and not as consistent in quality compared to the other two times I've been here. Prices are on the high end, just be prepared.

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. ( saving you a little time here) So if you are looking for fantastic food, and want to support a VETERAN OWNED LOCAL BUSINESS! This is the place. Great food. Great service. Get down here already! P.S. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was Hungary. Next time!!!!
