They did the job and left me sugared for a good price! Would definitely try their services again.

I've been coming to Skin Spa for a while now. A friend recommended them after she went here before…read moreher wedding. I saw a deal for them on Gilt so figured, why not try them out. I got a facial and massage my first time there and have been hooked ever since. I get regular hydrafacials here and started laser hair removal too. The hydrafacials have really transformed my skin. I love them and always leave there glowing. The laser treatments have been going well so far - I wouldn't call them fun or relaxing by any means but they're effective! The staff here has always been super lovely. My usually aesthetician moved this year so I started going to new people (I can't remember their names) but they're also lovely. I'll also note that spa treatments are not cheap but skin spa ALWAYS has a deal going on so you can get good discounts and once you purchase a service, it doesn't expire. I love them.

I used the med spa part of this business. While the service itself is okay, there is no consistency…read morebetween how the procedure is done. Everyone is doing it differently, some charge you for a calming mask, some give it as a compliment to the service. I found it very confusing and frustrating. The worst is their behavior around tipping for med spa services. They blatantly and aggressively tried to get me to tip for those, literally trying to shame into paying it by loudly requesting a tip in front of everyone at the front desk, in addition to a big tablet with a tip suggestion (of 20,25 etc % expectation clearly listed) shoved in my face. This is a shady practice trying to indicate to a patient that this kind of tip is expected on a med spa procedure. Industry norms within healthcare generally favor transparent, all-inclusive pricing rather than gratuity-based compensation. This principle typically applies to services provided within medical spas, regardless of whether a specific treatment is performed by a medical provider or an esthetician. Because the service is offered under the medical spa's clinical umbrella and within a healthcare-related environment, patients reasonably expect the advertised price to reflect the full cost of care. Soliciting tips in this setting can create confusion regarding pricing, blur professional boundaries, and undermine the distinction between healthcare services and traditional hospitality services. The business acknowledges med spa separation from their day spa services. You receive multiple emails, forms to sign, etc. indicating a treatment that is treated as a procedure done under medical setting. It should be left to a patient discretion to provide a token of gratuity if they decide to do so, but in the med spa setting, there should not be expectation of the same tipping practice as for the traditional day spa services. I was very taken aback by these practices. This behavior was not present at other branches, but unfortunately those have been closed or will be closed.

I visited Adara today & it was that good that I'm writing a review immediately. I got the Signature…read moreFacial & an Express Manicure. Grace was amazing. When I booked originally, the online booking tool had the facial first & then the manicure. Grace flipped them so that my nails had time to dry during the facial (much appreciated & not something I would have thought of). I don't get manicures often so I can't speak to how comparable Adara is to other places - but I loved mine. She was pretty meticulous for an express service & they look great! I have to say, hands down best facial I've ever had. I started to doze off at one point. My skin feels baby soft, replenished, & rejuvenated. She used a wrap to hold my hair back/cover it during the service so I didn't get any product/oil in my hair (something I was concerned about since I had to return to work, but I didn't have to say a word). Extraction is never exactly pleasant but in my opinion, worth it. The service includes a mask but she didn't leave the room at any point - so I can't agree with some of the other reviews saying that. There was a noticeable difference in my skin when I left. I think what makes Adara stand out is the small differences. When you walk in, you notice its small but its cozy & chic. The environment is very soothing & it just feels more personal than the larger spas I've visited. The 2 pedicure areas can be closed off for privacy (I'll be returning for this service). Other small details, keeping the nail file kit she used, the extra massaging during the facial (not just my face but neck & full length arms), the bottle of water when you leave, etc. Grace also seemed conscious of when I did & didn't want to talk, which for me is huge. We chatted all through the manicure which was awesome but during the facial it was kept to a minimum. All in all, you need to go here.

**Update 8/17/22:…read more The owner of the spa, Rupa, had reached out after seeing my review. Her text to me did not address my issues/ how they could've been handled differently. When I tried to politely respond to her message, I received a message that my number had been blocked. I was really hoping that I would have had the chance to speak to the owner about my experience, but this has added further to my poor experience. I hope that moving forward, the business is able to take my experience into consideration to better serve their future customers.

I have seen her regularly for about 2 years and I have experienced noticeable changes to my skin tone and elasticity--I have been receiving more compliments lately from strangers about my skin and I am woman in her mid-forties. She promotes living toxin-free as the first approach to healthy skin and recently added a line of supplements to her product offerings.
