I gave this review one star so I was able to write a review or I would've given it a big fat ZERO…read more I brought my son to the ER ( 4/22/26) with what I believed was a ruptured eardrum that was bleeding( also blood in his nose) We waited the expected 31/2-4 hours ( no issues with that, this is the norm and they had some bad accidents come in via life flight) and was brought back to a room. His vitals had been checked in triage when we first arrived. The Dr. came in about 30 minutes later and I explained how he had no symptoms and from the time his ear began hurting to the rupture was 4 hours. She attempted to look in his ear and said she couldn't see because of the pooled blood and asked if I would like her to call an ENT office to see if they could see him . She called came back in the room and said they were going to call me to bring him in , wrote some antibiotics ear drops and sent us on our way. I didn't protest because frankly she seemed unnerved and nervous. I just find it baffling that if she couldn't SEE what the issue was that she wouldn't have images ordered, or anything at all. I don't know why I keep going to this hospital . They continually disappoint. If they aren't rude they lack care. This used to be the best hospital on the Coast. Now it's just trash.

I would just like to commend Dr. Scheller and her nurse practitioner, Heather Seymore for taking such good care of me. Dr. Scheller and her team were awesome and I would certainly consult her for any future needs that may arise. The entire surgery team is stellar. They made me feel like I mattered. And they have compassion and a wonderful bedside manner. My stay on the second floor was unfortunately not pleasant. The nurse practitioner had placed an NG tube and not long after she left the tube developed a kink. The nurse, Takyla was unable to get the tube straightened out, so she just left me like that all night. She never hooked up my leg compressions, nor did she hook my IV, I was left all night like that, dehydrating by the minute. No pain medication was ever offered and I didn't see that nurse again until the next morning. The only people who came in during the night were the techs to take my vitals and help me to the restroom. There was a very nice lady the next morning who offered to help me bathe if I wanted to. I didn't get her name, but she was very pleasant and seemed to know a bit about nursing. I was not going to complain, but the more I thought about it the more I felt compelled to write. I could have died that night and no one would have known it and I feel like they wouldn't care if I did. I felt like I was an imposition to the nursing staff and that they had other more important people to look after. I don't know if it's a cultural or societal clash. I just know I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. And this is not the first time I have been a patient there on that floor. The nursing staff is just awful. And I've read the reviews online for SRHS and there are numerous complaints from people regarding the same things. In any case, it makes me not want to return there for treatment. And it appears that all of us patients' complaints are falling on deaf ears. I wish this could have been a more pleasant experience. But thank goodness for Dr. Scheller.

We were facing significant time constraints due to a long planned trip scheduled to take within a few days. Our CFNP Jacqueline Hode, ensured that our care was expedited (amazingly we were able to get MRI and X-ray imaging in less than 24 hours time). Doctor Noblin stayed late to ensure we received the necessary reads and had time to schedule procedures prior to departure. We were so grateful to embark on our trip with confidence that our daughter's arm had been stabilized. What an amazing team and a blessing to those of us living here on the Coast.

Today I finally received a callback from the nurse telling me they couldn't do anything since the computer system was still out. So eventually I asked for my money back, and they gave me most of it, but not all of it. I texted Bri, I emailed the office manager and they said my first appt was just a consultation, and was not guaranteed or refundable. The office manager emailed me the supposed ad I clicked on, and in extremely small font, it says non refundable. I was on my iPhone when I clicked on AN ad, so clearly if I had to stretch out the image she sent me to see what she was talking about, clearly I did not see it on the ad. Because I can promise you I would not have going to the first appt, and any subsequent appointments. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but the first visit was $79, and don't forget all my time going back and forth to my appts and the time I was strapped to the machines. I just don't think it is a lot to say, to uphold the word of their tech, their representative. I have a lot of screen shots that say it is guaranteed. And then the most recent ads do not say guaranteed, so be very careful, this is not cheap, and the results are very spotty on if it actually works or not. I guess I will have to take them to small claims court, with all my texts, emails and screenshots. I am not sure about it, but if I have to go out of my way to take them to court, I will be asking for them to pay for my time there, my travel time, the $79 and the $91 court cost. I really don't like dealing with businesses that don't honor their words.
