I had the Hawaiian bowl. Overall it was good (I mean it had spicy mayo on it so how could it not) but it was mostly rice and could use some more veggies in it, maybe seaweed salad, more edamame, things like that. Ask for extra sauce, it was needed! This truck was at the new WonderLove food truck pod which was a cute spot. Many options, string lights and fire around the picnic table and a little indoor seating above the bar area.

You can mot trust everyone's spam musubi. I was far excited to try this sushi donut concept. It was an epic fail for me. First off this the first time I had a spam musubi break apart as I attempt to eat it. I tried to pick it up and it crumbled. The sushi donut did the same thing as well. Couldnt hold it up to bluff or nothing. Just crumbled. On top of that they were all entirely too sweet for my liking. There were no wave of flavors just sweet and crunchy. Did me so wrong.

    Musubi. Delicious!

I came in to the Willamette Garage for the second time today. I had tried three orders of nigiri sushi (2 pieces each) the first time, and was impressed by the freshness of the hamachi (yellowtail tuna), tako (octopus), and ebi (shrimp). And at $3 an order, the price was right. Today I went in a more Hawaiian direction, sampling the Musubi and Aloha Poke Bowl. I was VERY happy. The $4 Musubi was a healthy portion, and The Sushi San marinates the Spam before cooking it, which is what I do at home. Yes, i love me occasional Musubi and will even make it at home. The Aloha Poke Bowl is full of salmon, tuna, seaweed salad and avocado, and is amazing! I appreciate the prices and the quality of food at The Sushi San, and am looking forward to patronizing this cart again.

Miso was a little weak and needed more miso for a fuller robust flavor. Pickled cukes in rice vinegar with sesame seeds gave a lil' pucker and both come complimentary with combo meals. 5* My lunch set was awesome included 2 rolls with a ton of Classic Rolls from which to choose, many would be deemed special in other houses. The Chili Chili Bang Bang is Bomb! That tiny tempura jalapeno offers a zip of heat and delicate crisp in a very unusual soy wrap roll of tamago sweet egg, blackened tuna, avo, red tobiko, and green onion that is just simply superb! Their version of the Oregon Salmon roll with avo, green onionand no cream cheese but surimi instead which was a lovely change up. Ck out their Spicy/Mango, Philly, Boston & Salem choices if you crave the cream cheese! My awesome pic is amiss as the Yelp app didn't save properly :( We missed our frothy pour as the liquor license is still in process, changing owners this September so a few more weeks the server thought. Dining room is naturally bright with 3 glass walls and filled with tables much like a cafeteria. Could use some furnishings and plants to cozy the room out, and a/c a bit chilly I found on a warm day. We wanted to sit out on such a beautiful day anyway but be warned to bring your own blanket lol or dress for fall when warm outside! Prices are great and most importantly your catch of the day Sushi/Fish is fresh and fills a need for sushi choice in the Oregon City-WestLinn area! Arigatou ありがとう Momiji!!

I stopped by here on a gloomy day with family and enjoyed some good food with very attentive…read moreservice. The interior is a cool mix between Japenese decor and a modern bar area. I ordered the Dragon Roll and Las Vegas roll. Both were quite tasty. We also ordered the Agedashi Tofu as a starter, a 6 piece of the Oysters, the Salmon Sashimi Flight, and House Tonkotsu Ramen. The oysters were pretty small, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Sashimi tasted very fresh and we loved the assortment of pieces.

Mirakutei occupies the same space that a previous sushi restaurant occupied. If you are familiar…read morewith it, it has the same super upscale, swanky vibe and décor that the previous place had. If you want scenery, Mirakutei is probably unbeatable. When we arrived, the place was completely empty, save for one table. We should have taken this as a warning and left (Clackamas Town Center is ALWAYS crazily busy, and for a fancy restaurant there to be almost empty speaks volumes). Since we chose this place specifically based on the many positive reviews, we figured we'd give it a go. It pains me to write this review, but one star is what Mirakutei earned. The menu is, well, let's just call it "unexpected". I don't know what they're going for, but "pesto" on sushi doesn't seem like a fusion that should exist. We ordered a variety of items, and across the board, they were all terrible. Prices are also REALLY high. The "salmon flight" consisted of four pieces of salmon nigiri, each of a different variety. I don't know what any of them were, but only one of the three had any semblance of flavor, and one was probably the toughest piece of fish I've ever been served. The yellowtail fared slightly better, but it was garnished with what appeared to be off-cuts or scrap that had been chopped to oblivion. This garnish did NOTHING to add to the flavor, texture, or appeal of the nigiri. We also made the mistake of ordering the "Hello Kitty". Don't do this. It is a typical California roll sullied by a pressed patty of, again, what appear to be fish off-cuts that are chopped to oblivion, pressed into a patty shape, overcooked, and draped on top of a cut CA roll with each piece turned on its side. Again, this was just gross. The most egregious foul was the "salmon" that was in one half of one of the rolls. It had spoiled, and literally was a slimy fall-apart mush. There is NO excuse in the world for this, and much shame is due to the chef (or management for forcing the chef to use spoiled items). We pointed this out to our waitress, who was very apologetic, and brought out a complimentary piece of mochi ice cream to us in an impossibly short amount of time. It happened so quickly that it seems to have to be their standard procedure that everybody's at the ready to do ("If a guest calls us out for serving spoiled fish, bring them a piece of mochi ice cream"). We were extremely disappointed, and left with a lot of what we'd ordered uneaten, and both of us feeling queasy. We won't be back.
