Really nice place. Little confusing finding the place as you have to go upstairs for the restaurant. Lower level is an amazing bar. Food was fantastic...fish and chips, burger, Shepard's pie. All really good, way above bar food... this is a really nice place! Really good service and great drink selection.

Looking for something to eat but got much more. The atmosphere was great, the staff is very kind and friendly(not fake) Great food! Highly recommend the '' Shepherd's pie ''. The american craft beer was great also.

One of my favourite discoveries in Dublin to date. Had to choose 3 starters as we simply couldn't decide on 2. Wings were among the best either I or my girlfriend have ever had! Braised Lamb Shepard's Pie is a very special dish and our steak was cooked to perfection! If you're ordering the steak, I highly recommend the house made pepper sauce. We had the baked cheesecake and ginger pudding for dessert, both of which were amazing! For wine drinkers, I recommend asking Damien for a recommendation as the wine we received of his choosing was the perfect accompaniment to what we ate. A really special restaurant that already has us longing to return.

We stopped here because it was the only place in the area that had anything resembling Irish food. The shepherds pie was delicious! The waiter was friendly. And it is a quaint little place above another pub. I'm so glad I went there. We had some Irish coffee for "dessert" and it was also amazing. They have a few craft beers in bottles and they had 2 on draft. They have a large wine list too.

Overall amazing experience, the staff was great, everyone was coming over asking for our order, once we told them that we do not want to rush they apologized and allowed us not to rush. I love the open kitchen and watching the chefs in action. We were seated right across the open kitchen so we were able to see how our meal was prepared. They also have an excellent variety of red wines that do not break the budget. Loved the brown bread, fresh free range chicken wings that tasted amazing along with the seasoning and the chowder that was creamy and delicious. For main course we had Shepard's pie and lamb steak with the bone in, a very different cut for lamb that I have never had. The lamb was cooked perfectly, it is better to get it medium rare since it is a thinner type cut of meat. If you are visiting Dublin, I am definitely recommending this place, it is pub food but with a modern flare, absolutely amazing.

The food is good but a bit on the pricey side. There is an early bird menu but you only save like 1 or 2 euros if you go for it as opposed to choosing from the a la carte menu.. Which I found a bit of a pity.. So I had the 8oz Striploin Steak and peanut butter chocolate brownie icecream for 29 € as part of the early bird... Which could be cheaper, right? Steak and ice cream was good.. But not extraordinary. Service was a bit slow as well and whenever they came to your desk they were in such a rush that it just made you feel a bit uncomfortable. Considering what you get for the price I wouldn't come back. Although I want to point out that there was nothing wrong with the food :) The restaurant was not full at all so I don't think reservations are generally necessary here - but they do take them. I'd give it a 3.5 but since I can't give half stars I will go for the lower mark .. Since everyone else seems to reward the restaurant with top marks anyway :)

Such a great little place. Easy to find and wonderful service. Get a table by the window and enjoy the people watching. The drink list is fantastic as are the prix fi xe menu options. The heirloom tomato & buffalo mozzarella salad was particularly amazing! A solid shepherd's pie and a light and delicate lemon posset. You can't go wrong.

Incredible food and service. One of the best gastro pubs in Dublin. Real Irish food taken up several levels.

The food and service were terrific. Loved their Irish soda bread. Also they helped us print out electronic tickets to a show.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Dublin. The entire menu is delicious and they pour a great pint of Guinness.

Exactly what I wanted. Tasty and very Irish. I would ask for s table by the window as they're quite atmospheric. Try the Dingle prawns.

Foley's has two floors, the downstairs area offers live music but no real food menu so we headed upstairs. The place was crowded (later learned there was an American football game in town with 30,000 fans from Georgia Tech and Florida State; in future I would avoid visiting Dublin during this time!) Foley's offers typical pub food in a casual sports bar atmosphere. My chicken tenders were nicely spiced and meaty, although the accompanying fries were kind of bland. Fish and chips were good too. Service was slow but that's to be expected on a crowded evening. We were surprised to see the check in $USD (no choice of currency offered) rather than in Euros (the coin of the realm), with a 8.75% "exchange rate markup fee" tacked on to the total. We weren't given a choice of currency as stated on the bill (see picture). I've never seen this done elsewhere, seems like a petty way to make a bit of extra money from unsuspecting tourists. We were tired and the place was crowded so we paid and left without comment. But that unwarranted currency fee didn't leave a good taste in our mouths at all.

We arrived for lunch a little after opening on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly and was full before we left. This was also our first time having a meal with the Sweet Chili sauce, which we've both had on other foods before but something about the fried food in Ireland made the sauce that much tastier! We order boneless wings and pepperoni pizza. The Red Headed cocktail was amazing - earthy and a tad sweet. The restaurant overall has a snazzy feel, the bathrooms were by far the nicest I had seen this far and the staff was friendly.
