I have always workout 6 days a week for about an hour and a half each day. Did cardio here and there nothing crazy. I have always ate healthy, I was not really a fast food guy. I would rather cook than go out to eat. This all started with my girl friend going to a trainer for some time and results showed just after 6 weeks. Fitness has been my passion for some time now, but I was not reaching the ideal look I wanted to look like to become a Personal Trainer. So I wanted help. I reached out to Sidney Wilson (@sidneyWilson4) for help. Getting older my body doesn't allow what my younger self use to do. So I needed help with my eating habits and training routine. My "diet" consisted of more meals with smaller portions. Cutting carbs out with a higher protein intake. Consuming 2 gallons of water a day minimum. Even during my work schedule no matter what, I had to eat something even if it was a protein bar every two hours. Working out with out a time limit, listening to my body on when I was done and not pushing it, but giving my all each set and rep. On top of training, I was burning a minimum of 1,000 calories of cardio a day. If I missed a meal, one too many cheat meals, or missed a workout, I would have to double up on that cardio next training day. This program I was on was #Vicious. Sid puts you on a program for your body type. This is not a copy paste program like other trainers do for each of their clients. He adjust for what you can do and can not do. Notices strengths and fixes your weakest points and turns them into your strengths. He makes you better than you were the day before. It's a confidence booster each day you walk out that gym and waking up the next day to work harder then you did the day before. My end goal of this 4 month process is to be lean 195. Being a Personal Trainer is all about what people see, they can't see a number. So what I can do in 4 months and how I did it is something I want to show. I've seen other programs, heard of many other trainers but I have NEVER been so hungry to reach this end goal. My schedule is crazy so it's easy for me to do a morning workout. So Sidney Wilson will arrive when you need him. Let me just tell you this. If you want a change and need a push. Sidney Wilson won't hesitate he is going to: shove, drag, murder you, and give you the encouragement to keep pushing yourself. You will go one week saying, "I got this" to him telling you we are: "lifting 90 pounds now." I honestly didn't think I could do that. I would think. this guy is on one today. But he pushed my body to physical gain the strength that I've never seen before. Everyone at work could tell a difference. The moment I got on his diet I felt better, and I felt lighter after four days! Like everything about me. I drank enough water and I was eating the right kind of foods. Of course I hit a mark where I was not loosing anymore weight, and we figured out I wasn't eating enough. If I ever had questions about if something really works or not he would explain how it does. I walked in on a Saturday morning and wasn't able to find anyone to assist. Another patron came in to tell me that I had to walk to the back to possible speak with someone. The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming from the "staff" there that day. I wasn't able to purchase the gift card for my daughter as it seemed the one young lady trying to help me, had no idea how to get one! She had to call someone else to discuss as I waited for 10 minutes. Not to mention the one lady attempting to assist me did not seem to speak English well. Perhaps I went on an "off day" but in either case, I asked my daughter to find another more welcoming facility due to my experience. I couldn't in good conscience direct my daughter to this place if I felt put off. She's young and pretty reserved so I'm sure she too would've felt the disconnect in communication.

As a total newbie at pole dancing, I've been all over the valley sampling different studios - and…read morethis one is my favorite. I started with the intro classes and I've moved into the regular ones, now. I like how they offer TRUE intro classes, unlike other studios, so if you've never even touched a pole you won't be intimidated. The classes are small so you get more one-on-one attention. This is good if you want the focus, like me, but it also means you can't slack off as easily. They offer lots of different classes, including a Dance & Pole that I really enjoy that combines regular dance moves and pole moves. They have a really good open gym option where you can pay $5 before/after you take a class and have access (otherwise it's $15). I actually have a membership and have unlimited open gym tacked on to it. Either way, open gym is a really good way to practice what you've learned. Because if you're someone like me, you need to do it 20 times before you get it. This place has all sorts of classes if you're not into pole - like various aerial classes. I've only taken a couple of these, as my focus is mainly pole. I do wish they had more pole and dancing classes, but I do enjoy the schedule for the most part. Also, when registering for a class, make SURE you register at least 12 hours in advance, or the class gets cancelled. I learned this one the hard way a couple times. On a random note, this studio owner's dogs are here a lot too. They keep them in the office during classes, but don't be alarmed if you hear barking. They're good about keeping them away if you're not a dog person.
