I believe both the butter pecan and coffee ice cream was Dryers, which is a good ice cream. It is a full service ice cream counter.... They have sundaes and milkshakes as well. The inside was lined on both sides with some many different candies - I was almost overwhelmed! They had fresh fruit jellies, dark and milk chocolates, rock candy, marshmallows - I could go on and on! We took home the jellies, dark chocolate almond bark, a discounted Valentine's Day chocolate heart box, handmade marshmallows and a couple of other goodies! Staff were friendly! The inside had an old western feel to it and they even had old school cash registers. It's a great place to pick up a gift and they have different holiday options - I even saw St. Patrick's Day candy out already! Check them out!

I remembered that Chocolatte was nearby and decided to go support a local business. It's been a hot minute since I've gotten a coffee from them, and I was intrigued by their Valentine's Day menu. While we waited, we took a seat by the window to people watch. My drink was so cute, especially with the sprinkles. They added a lovely texture to a velvety chai. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet even with the sprinkles and cherry white chocolate. As expected, the affogato was strong with the extra shot, but still smooth without being bitter. They have lots of different candy options - from the old classics like Big Chew Gum, Pop Rocks and even Clark bars to Harry Potter themed items and massive gummy candies. They also had a candy cigarette machine that was pretty cool to play with. They also sell in-house made chocolates and ice cream as well. While I do love chocolate, my favorite part of The Candy Vault is the super cool Willy Wonka themed museum room - from mementos to games to even fun facts; they also play the movie on loop. The Candy Vault is a cute old timey candy store, and while they don't necessarily sell anything out of the ordinary, the Willy Wonka room is a nice touch. The staff were friendly as well! I'm sure my family and I will be back again next time we are in downtown Sonora!
