    The candy emporium interior. VAST!
    Tom B.

Came across this place in search of ice cream, and what a surprise. This candy emporium is simply amazing and not to be missed. If you want a run at nostalgia, see some favorites from a bygone era, or just want to feel like a kid in a candy shop and drool... definitely come here (just don't drool!). The ice cream shop is tucked way in back and in the process of getting there you have to pass hundreds of candy options, plus a whole huge section of puzzles off to one side. There's a large selection of ice cream flavors, most from standard brand, and I opted for the pineapple coconut on a waffle cone while my better half had the peanut butter chocolate fudge. YUM! The scoop was plentiful enough and $5. each. The entire store is a feast for the eyes. You can pick up a plastic carry container and just go around and pick whatever candies you want, including a vast array of taffy. Remember when movie theaters had a wonderful tempting array of candy in boxes at the snack counter? Good & Plenty, Dots, Junior Mints. They have them, plus a wide assortment of PEZ and Jelly Belly. Well worth a drive to Jackson for a visual and sweet treat.

Pans of Freshly Made Fudge displayed in their store window!

Oooh fuuudge!~Ralphie from the Christmas Story On Memorial Day my boyfriend and I stopped in for something sweet after seeing the sign Freshly Made Fudge displayed in their store window with several pans of delectable looking fudge!! I went with a slice of Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, which was so soft it melted in your mouth as you swallowed the swirls of decadent chocolate and creamy peanut butter, it was just amazing! My only complaint would be that my boyfriend mentioned their expired cans of soda from months back and our cashier completely ignored him, even when I spoke up and said hopefully someone will check the shelves.

incredible selection, super friendly service, good pricing. Lots of throw back candies to the 70s and 80s. Definitely worth a visit or 3!

This is the CUTEST candy/ice cream/coffee/fudge shop, with one of the most extensive puzzle and cookie cutter collections to boot. Their taffy collection was so large it was almost overwhelming and the ice cream scoops were HUGE. We got the huckleberry, of course... I would have included pics but we ate it all too fast! They also had a great chocolate case and homemade fudge; decent licorice and tea selections as well. The rear had adorable carved wooden toys on wheels (including trains and a darling brontosaurus) in back. Everything was amazingly affordable. We'll be definitely coming back next time we're in the area.

This place has a huge selection of candies, popcorn, and ice cream. There was a lot to choose from but I ended up with the English Toffee Fudge bar. It was a little pricier than I expected. Also, I little too sweet for my liking. I could only have a couple bites at a time. The white fudge was very soft, almost marshmallow-like and the toffee was soft. I was expecting a little bit of a crunch to offset the creaminess. 3/5

The sign for this place should be "The biggest selection of taffy and stripe candy you've even seen... and model kits."

Did a quick Yelp search, and found Blue Door Bakery and let's just say, I'm glad I did! They bake everything the morning before they open, so everything we got was super hot and fresh. I went with a sourdough loaf, their garden focaccia, and their best selling morning bun. The morning bun was delicious, and I don't even like morning pastries. Great with a coffee. The sourdough bread was as good as the reviews said they were. We made multiple sandwiches at home with them and with their house made vinaigrette (definitely order a side of this), it elevated the at-home sandwiches to another level. The garden focaccia was solid but not my favorite, it did go well with the pasta we made though. I wish they sold their sandwich focaccia bread as a standalone though. I was chatting with some other people in line and they saying how they go for their sandwiches because their vinaigrette and focaccia bread was so good, so definitely plan on ordering a sandwich next time around! If you are in the area and craving some delicious carbs and baked goods, definitely worth checking out.

Most may go for their pastries but their sandwiches are also so worth trying out! Honestly try anything and everything! We've never had a bad experience here. It's a in and out situation ! Which is fine, get your stuff to go, and go walk around the town. There's also a yummy coffee shop across the street. Every time we pass the area we make sure to drop by just for a morning bun! We just selfishly wish they were open everyday thank you for the amazing work you do!

They kept them coming once we asked, and they were delicious every time. But we had to keep asking, and at one point, we almost gave up. That said, the service was pretty underwhelming, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited close to 20 minutes before getting our first drinks, even water. We had noted a special occasion on our reservation, but there wasn't really anything that made it feel acknowledged or special. We shared the skillet, and unfortunately it was extremely soggy. We literally poured liquid out of it multiple times. On the flip side, the lemon poppyseed waffle was a solid 10/10 and definitely the standout food item for us. I'm giving 3 stars because there's clearly potential here. The drinks were great, the waffle was amazing, and I do think this place could easily be a 5-star experience with more attentive service and a little more consistency in the kitchen. We'll definitely give it another try.

I was excited to try this place as I was in town for a wedding and it had good reviews. It has potential but unfortunately today was a let down. My vegan friend had gone the night before and enjoyed her peanut noodle bowl with tofu! So that's good apparently) So we had high hopes but when we went today before 10am they were out of black beans for the one vegan option for my friend and didn't offer to make it without or anything it was painful to watch and to eat in front of her. Lattes looked good. My boyfriend is not picky but said the house coffee was average and got the All Sutter Creek- bacon eggs and toast and it just looked sad. Bacon was burnt, wheat toast was small and looked like cheap wonderbread. Eggs were fine but nothing better then we have at home he said. I got the Handford Benedict and it looked good but tasted strange. I didn't like the hollandaise sauce, it was tangy. Eggs were cooked well and potatoes were good, but overall with prosciutt ( meh), steamed unseasoned spinach and goat cheese made it too tangy. Hot sauce made it edible. French toast looked yummy with a nice amount of fruit on top and my friend seemed to enjoy it. I don't think I'd come back since the food is so unpredictable. A few things to fix - the bench seat wobbled whenever anyone moved at the other end, and the hot sauce wooden cap needs to be glued on! - it keep turning and comes off and gets glue in peoples food and looks gross underneath. I hope this helps you guys improve.
