We had family in town this weekend, including my sister-in-law, who somehow collected food sensitivities like they're Pokémon. She actually carries a doctor's card listing all of them. We handed it to the staff, expecting at least a raised eyebrow, and instead they took it straight to the kitchen, made sure everyone knew, and were incredibly careful about avoiding cross-contact. They treated it with total professionalism, and we really appreciated it. The coffee was fantastic, the food was great, and the customer service was even better. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Meanwhile, the standalone Starbucks is probably still deciding whether to put the folding chair in front of the drive-thru or the front door while someone contemplates whether they should make cold brew or mad dog customers. For "1." It's nice to have a place that remembers the whole point is actually serving customers. Church & Main keeps giving us reasons to come back. Easy five stars. read more

we were camping and happened to yelp the cutest little coffee shop, Church and Main! let's dive in: FOOD/DRINK i'm still dreaming of my maple cold brew. it wasn't overly sweet, good coffee (counter culture.. YUM), and the flavor was divine. we ordered the breakfast burrito which my stomach ate first -- not even sorry. so delicious! my cousin got the avocado toast, and when i tell you that bread had the perfect crust and pillowy soft center; i think i had died and gone to heaven for a sec. they get their bread from across the street (we love small businesses that support other small businesses)! SERVICE we were a larger party, and they were able to accommodate us in the back room. Erica, Marion, Jaylynn, Anna, and Nelly were working their butts off! it was absolutely packed while we were there, and they were all extremely kind, had smiles on their faces, and hard working. 10/10 service! AMBIANCE i mean look at the pics.. need i say more? SO cutesy. PARKING lots of street parking for a sunday (mid-morning). there's also an adjacent small parking lot nearby. but park far away and check out all the cutesy shops and business on main st.! i'm not often in the area, but will go out of my way to come here now knowing what a great addition to the area Church and Main is! read more

Stopped at church and main for a coffee. The staff greeted us as we entered. They were busy pulling orders and there were other customers behind us. My order was taken quickly. The store was clean, The menus were easy to read, and the space felt comfortable. I ordered a Havana coffee. It was sweetened and condensed milk with espresso. It was very tasty. What an amazing spot! Had breakfast here with my family on a Saturday morning. The staff was super accommodating, warm and friendly. They even made us some saltless eggs for our 8 month old baby. I was in town, but my old mainstay, the Ione Café had gone out of business. Google brought me here, instead, and I'm glad it did The space was clean and bright, and everybody was very friendly. I found out that they had only been open for a few days. The menu is simple. Coffee, some "small bites" and a few sandwiches with one salad They have a sandwich called an "ode to Stan", named after the person who ran the butcher shop that used to be in this space I thought that was a nice tribute. I had the avocado toast, and a pumpkin spice latte. I was very pleased. It was a generous amount of creamy avocado, on warm sourdough bread, with cherry tomatoes, micro greens, and a little bit of salt . The accoutrements on it were also very good. For what I got, the price was extremely reasonable. The coffee was also extremely good. It's hard starting up a new business, but I hope these people succeed. I will definitely be back. They advertise and then did not honor their advertising. Server was extremely rude and stated owner did not advertise , as if I wasted my time to make an advertisement! The advertisement even had a number for the worker to call to validate the authenticity of it, but worker could not even figure that out! I already reached out to Restaurant.com and they validated certificate and stated it should have 100% been honored. They said they have a signed form and will call to share the form and confirm authenticity! You really should remember who you advertise with and honor such agreements. Obviously I am asking them for a full refund as I would never go back to an establishment that does not stand behind their agreements. read more

I've been coming here ever since they've opened and I LOVE IT! Service is 10/10, everyone is so nice and welcoming and I've even made an amazing friend here. I love the food and the drinks. My go to is a brown sugar latte with light ice. I've been getting that since they've opened actually and it's my favorite. My husband and I had the opportunity to try out Church and Main this week. We are so glad to have a decent coffee shop in Ione. It's the new cute coffee shop on Main Street in Ione, Ca. The decor is simple but pleasing. The food was the star of the show for us. They get a five+ for the quality of the ingredients and the deliciousness of their food. We each had a lunch sandwich and we shared. Each sandwich came with a small side salad. We loved them both. So fresh and so tasty! It will be great when they can add a few more items to the menu to choose from. We also each had a latte. They were both good, certainly the best anywhere in or near Ione. The food was extra special though. Service was friendly and quick. Our food was served in To Go containers, which seemed a bit odd since we ate in, but not a big deal. I will say that the prices seemed a bit high for Ione, but I would eat there again anyway. Highly recommend to go for the excellent, high quality food and good coffee. I wish the new owners much success and hope that Church and Main is here for the long run. read more

We stopped in here after a long weekend fishing trip at Amador and it was absolutely what we were looking for. I ordered a turkey sandwich that was super fresh and not overfilling. My family and I are new to Ione and have yet to explore all the great places. Church and Main was still underway when we first moved here over the summer and being a coffee lover, I was so excited to try it out. I've always loved small cozy coffee houses. The kind you see in movies and tv shows. Recently a friend of mine and her family also moved into town so her and I decided to finally try Church and Main for a girl date this morning. Let me tell ya! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a joyful "good morning". There were already a couple of people taking up a table or two and the ambience was just as I had imagined. Cozy, friendly and smelled delicious. I had their Brown sugar Latte-which was my first time trying and I am hooked- with their breakfast burrito. My daughter had what i believe was a fresh pressed lemonade and blackberry mini muffins and my friend had a Vanilla Latte with their egg bites. My friend said she was skeptical about the egg bites since she prefers homemade but said they were some pretty good egg bites and definitely better than she'd expected. The burrito was very delicious and filling and the mini muffins were nice and moist. The brown sugar latte, let's just say it's a new favorite for me. Ione is our new home, and Church and Main is definitely my new favorite coffee house. read more

Although the area of Jackson, Sutter Creek and Ione have "places to eat", there are only a handful that have with any sort of ambiance. In that group I'd list Element, Imperial hotel restaurant, Hotel Sutter, andTaste. To put it another way, those would be the few places I'd say have an atmosphere that invites you to just kind of hang out. THIS place definitely has that. Great atmosphere, great music, nice people....it's everything a place like this should be. I should add that this place might initially come across as more if a coffee shop, but it's cafe with great with AND great coffee. Once you step inside you find it feels a bit more sophisticated than other places nearby and although it's in a small town, it feels a little more like a cafe you'd find in a small city. It's just right. Other than the vibe itself the food is all fresh, homemade (prepared when you order it, not pre-made) and is 100% as good as the food that I've had at any of those places I mentioned previously. It's simpler food, but for a example the sandwiches are fantastic as is the breakfast burrito and just a few days ago my wife and I had the "Baked French toast" that I can honestly say was one of the best I've had in my life. The staff and service every time we've been there has been top notch, helpful and extremely friendly. There's plenty of seating inside up ear the front door or in the back room and patio. There's also plenty of parking on the street and in the lot out back. Overall I can't recommend this place enough. Count us in as regulars. Take my money!! read more

Almost all the food is great. But the service is terrible. They get the orders right, and they're efficient which is always nice. However they just aren't nice people. The attitudes are just awful. They make you feel like you're interrupting their day by ordering their food. Definitely makes me not want to spend money to support a local business that isn't welcoming. Do better. read more

Our meal was amazing (we had the "ode to Stan" Italian Sandwich) everything was extremely fresh and crisp, including the salad and amazing salad dressing which accompanied the sandwich. The bread was so yummy!! The menu was reasonably priced, the restaurant was extremely clean, tastefully decorated and along with its historic charm the employees were so sweet.
