Handmade Tangyuan w/Sesame Filling in Pu'er Tea (6.50)
    Alex C.

The Sweet Spot is a Chinese dessert place on Baldwin that serves bubble tea as well as traditional Chinese desserts, both hot and cold. Their cold desserts include dishes such as glutinous rice balls with taro, rock sugar jelly dessert, and coconut pudding, among other options. The hot dishes include items such as Tangyuan, sesame paste dessert, mochi, and unique items like slow stew pear soup. It's a bit hard to describe these traditional Chinese desserts, but the menu has pictures. I tried the Handmade Tangyuan with Sesame Filling in Pu'er Tea ($6.50). This dish comes with five tangyuan, which are flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness. It is served in tea that is not sweet, providing a contrast with the sweetness of the tangyuans. The restaurant is clean and bright and has seating for around 15-20 people. If you are dining in, you can order by scanning a QR code on the table, and your items are brought out to you. The service is quite good and fast, and water is provided. After you are finished, you can pay at the cashier's area. The pricing here is very reasonable, with most desserts costing around $6-$9 and bubble tea in the range of $4-$8. The service is also great, and the staff are very friendly and nice!

Connected to the noodle shop next door, this is a cute Chinese dessert shop. Everything's under $10 which is a great option! The service is friendly and you can order through your phone or through the convenient button next to your table that let's you notify the server.

Pure sweetness! Actually it wasn't too sweet, perfect enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. You order with QR code and pay after before you leave! And the service was fast! It wasn't too busy, still got a table.

This place got a large variety of different drinks. They also have daily deals where you can get…read moredrinks for $4 medium size and $5 large size. Drinks are colourful and tasted good. Ingredients they use are good quality and are made in front of you. Their ice cream waffle snack is a must get. It pairs up with their drinks well.

I went here a couple weeks ago because I was craving a bubbletea. While my bubbletea craving is…read morestill at large, I enjoyed my experience here. Walked in and it was instantly warm inside. Contrary to the weather outside. The young worker behind the counter greeted me with a smile, in spite of their preoccupation in making drinks. I asked her questions to help me narrow down my choice. I settled on a creamy mango with boba. With less ice and less sweetness. It was refreshing and satisfying, next time I will ask for 80% sugar because going down to 50% was too much of a drop. The place is pretty modern inside with an exposed brick interface, it kind of gave me the impression of being on a street in Taiwan. Outside they have this cute street post sign on the side of their building. All in all, service 10 outta 10, ambiance 10 outta 10 (although when I went the only other customer had left, so knowing how loud it gets, I was not able to decipher and that may impact this rating.) And drink... ah 7 outta 10. This is because it came out to be expensive for the size . Will try again.
