Stopping here from out of town for the first time. Quaint establishment with a decent amount of seating for anyone wanting to sit and enjoy their food and dessert. Upon entering, we were greeted in a friendly manner and then helped with details of various things to choose when we told them we were first-timers. The deli menu, in my opinion, is very fairly priced for what they give you, including: a sandwich, pickle, chips, and a small sample of cake. There are many options to choose from! Everything we ordered and tried was amazing! Mississippi Mud was delicious. Also, on Tuesdays & and Thursdays, are their free to try specialty days! Today is was a Strawberry Delight. And if I had a cooler to make it on our journey back home, we would have gotten a whole one to go most definitely! We definitely recommend The Sweetery to anyone looking to try something other than cookie-cutter establishments

Incredible strawberry cake at a very reasonable price. Grab a cinnamon roll while you're there -- they're delicious!

All the cakes seem to taste the same. The Italian Crème is good if you are lucky and get a fresh one.

Find a better option than here. Most of the cakes are frozen. The few times I have been here, the staff has not been friendly at all.

I only knew of the strawberry cake. And it alone is worth going there. Surprisingly good sandwiches for lunch, as well.

One side has a bakery where you can watch the delicious goodies being made. The other side is a small cafe. Although there is limited seating I have never had to wait for a table. I haven't gone on the weekend (pretty sure the Sunday morning brunch would be a different story). A friend and I met for lunch at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. My friend had the Café Club with the pasta salad and a sweet tea. I had the Quiche of the Day, the pasta salad and a hot cup of Clemson Sunrise (Vanilla, Caramel & White Mocha). The pasta salad wasn't my favorite-next time I'll give the potato salad a try. The service and food were very good. The café closed at 2:00 pm. Since we were still visiting, my friend and I grabbed our drinks and walked a few steps to the center of the lovely town square and found a swing to continue our conversation...but that's for another review. The Village Bakery & Café is worth a visit whether it's to grab something from the bakery and enjoy a cup of coffee or to meet a friend for breakfast or lunch. Lovely outing.

Everything is super clean and almost empty up front. But the colors are really nice and the process is pretty simple. They have about six available flavors any given day, and they frequently rotate. Just recently they started the mini cookies, which is great because I buy these for my staff and sometimes they don't want a giant cookie. So having a mini cookie gives them the option of having a taste of something without having to commit to the whole thing. Usually delicious, these cookies make an impression and are even great for gifts. Gifts. They have gift wrapping available as well. I rated four stars due to the lack of interaction with the staff, and sometimes if you get them on a bad day they're kind of standoffish. But thankfully, most of your interaction is digital and they just hand you your order. Usually they'll give you a smile. I would definitely recommend just ordering ahead and picking up so you can enjoy these cookies!
