Lydia is a baking artist! She made the most beautiful cookies for my daughter's first birthday -- the theme was ONEderwoman. I sent her some inspo photos and she came up with 6 designs! They were almost too pretty to eat. BUT they were eaten and they were an absolute hit! I love how they are individually sealed too so the freshness is maximized. Lydia is also such a sweetheart and was super communicative and accommodating throughout the process. I would highly recommend Lydia for your baking needs! I can't speak on cupcakes ... although I hope to order some for our next party! Thanks for being so great Lydia!

I had major mom guilt. We had just moved and my son's birthday was quickly approaching. What to do? Lydia came to the rescue! The 5 star reviews led me to her yelp page. She said she wasn't going to take any more orders for the week but graciously squeezed me in. I really appreciated that. My son's obsessed with a show called Tobot and I wanted to surprise him with a Tobot cake. After I texted over a few images from the show, Lydia was able to come up with the perfect chocolate cake with the edible photo printed image, the perfect cake topper, and complete with sprinkle all around. Needless to say, the cake was a huge hit with my seven year old. Oh and everyone raved about how scrumptious it tasted - decadent without being overly sweet. Okay, so now I've gone back for more goodies. Obviously with the holidays just behind us like every family we ran short of time to even finish shopping. So back to The Sweetest Things Baked Goods I went. Ordered up some Christmas cookies. OMG they were awesome! In fact they were so beautiful darn near didn't want to hand them out.....BUT....the only thing better than how they looked is the way they tasted! We all scarfed them down, best cookies I have ever eaten. Then came New Year's Eve, ordered a last minute cake for a gathering of close friends. Once again the cake was moist, delicious and beautifully decorated for the celebration. So here is a secret, the owner also makes the absolute best caramels, seriously does it ever end. The caramels were better than any I had ever had since my Grandmother passed some 30 years ago. All the memories and good times came rushing back in. If you have ever experienced anything like that then you know a miracle just took place. The Sweetest Things Baked Goods is both a miracle and a blessing to a community that lost the only great bakery that had been in Corona since well before my days. History

Established in 2009.

It all started when a friend and I saw a 4 tier birthday cake in a bakery window and she fell in love. We went in to inquire about cost. Blown away by the large price tag, with no real baking experience I promised to try and make the cake for her. I laugh now looking at the picture of my first cake with all its imperfections and looking NOTHING like the cake we saw, but prettier than any cake I’d ever made before. It made me want to try again, and again, and before I knew it I was getting pretty good at this baking and decorating thing!

The tastings are done by appt and you can pick 4 flavors to try. We went with their snickerdoodle and chocolate cupcakes after my tasting. Everything was good but we tried to choose flavors that would appeal to all our guests (no nuts in case of allergies, etc.) We added a small carrot cake separate from the included order just for us to cut. Our guests loved everything. She also does pop up markets near our area and we've tried her cookies, muffins and mini cakes as well. No complaints from anyone in my family. For an added cost she can do set up for you as well which I had asked her to. I provided the dessert stands myself and she did an amazing job with it! I will def be ordering from her in the future and visiting her at the markets when I have a chance to pop in. Thank you so much Joyful for an amazing experience.
