    Chocolate chip cookie
    Melina B.

We came here on a whim and I am so glad we did! I was waiting for my husband to get a haircut across the street and I decided to come in here for a drink and a sweet treat! I came in with a stroller and there is a lot of room for a stroller and even the seating accommodates a stroller. They had so many desserts and items to choose from, it was hard to pick one thing! They have cupcakes, all different types of croissants, macaroons, cookies, cakes, banana pudding, muffins, premade sandwiches, cake pops & so much more! I decided to get a chocolate chip cookie and they asked if I wanted it heated up and I said yes please! It was delicious! The employees who took care of me were kind and quick! My strawberry matcha was made so quickly and it was delicious! I have to say one of the best I have ever had! I plan on coming here every time my husband needs to get a haircut!

Basque cheesecake! First time trying Mr Baker. Lovely welcome helpful staff very friendly. Lots of choices for pastries, cookies, cupcakes, whole cakes or by the slice. Savory croissant rolls spinach artichoke, ham & cheese, jalapeño. Spacious interior with seating areas great for large groups to hang out. Parking in front or on the side of building.

    White Chocolate Macadamia Latte $6.50

I ordered the White Chocolate Macadamia Latte for $6.50, and it was honestly the worst coffee I've ever had. I was so disappointed to spend that much on a drink that had absolutely NO FLAVOR. The color alone should've been my first clue. The coffee tasted old It, but it had no hits of white chocolate or macadamia. It also had very little ice, so the bottom of the drink was still warm. Overall, it tasted incredibly low quality and effortless with their flavors. You know when you're sick and can't taste anything? That's exactly what this drink tasted like NOTHING. I took a few sips, got home, and poured the entire thing down the sink. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a snickerdoodle, and I honestly wouldn't recommend either. They were dry, bland, and lacked any real flavor. For a bakery, I expected fresh, soft, flavorful cookies, and these completely missed the mark. I almost ordered the turkey jalapeño croissant, but at over $5 for how small it looked, I decided not to risk it. After tasting everything else, I'm glad I didn't. The customer service deserves five stars, but the quality and flavor of the food and drinks were incredibly disappointing. At these prices, I expected much better. Mr. Baker, please do better.

New place - clean open inviting place with lots of pastry choices - and drinks - nice place to sit and enjoy your sweet snack- but... I got my cake to go - unfortunately cake was dry and did not meet my expectations based on all the aesthetic pieces I seen out on display- I think I just made a bad choice and will give it a try a 2nd time around - and maybe get a little something to eat there ! To be continued..... for now it' is a must try!!!!

First time visiting Mr Baker Bakery. It has its own parking lot so it wasn't hard to find parking. First impression when entering the store was that it was clean and they have a nice area for people to study or hang out to have sweets. There was a diverse amount of pastries that look good and a good selection of drinks. Prices for them is a little pricey, but the cake slices are big. What I tried: - Napoleon cake- Cream on it was rich, but with the bigger slice, the taste of the cake has more flakiness. Wasn't good for me. - Tiramisu Latte- This drink was good and wouldn't mind getting it again, but could have been better with more espresso flavor. Overall, I wouldn't mind trying this place more and maybe see if there is anything else I would like.

Matcha Tiramisu, Raspberry cheesecake, & Double Chocolate Deluxe Cake

I visited Mr. Baker in Riverside, and it's a really nice café if you're looking for a place to grab pastries or sit down to study. One thing I will say is that their pastries are really good, but they do lean a little on the pricier side. That being said, the quality is definitely there and everything looked really fresh and well made. I also tried their Matcha Tiramisu drink, which looked really good at first. The presentation was nice and it seemed like it would have a strong matcha flavor. However, after mixing it and taking a few sips, it mostly tasted like milk. I even asked if they could add a little more matcha, and they were very nice about it and added more for me, but it still ended up tasting pretty milky overall. It was a little disappointing for a drink that costs $6.50, especially if you're hoping for a stronger matcha flavor. Even though the drink wasn't exactly what I expected, the staff were really kind and accommodating, which I appreciated a lot. The café itself is also very spacious and open, making it a great place for people who want to study, work on their laptops, or just hang out for a while. The environment feels calm and comfortable, and there's plenty of seating so it doesn't feel cramped. Another thing I really liked was how cute and aesthetically pleasing the food and drinks look. It's definitely the kind of place where the presentation makes it fun to take photos before eating. If you enjoy taking tasteful aesthetic pictures of pastries and drinks, this is a really nice spot for that as well.

It was my first time trying this place since it opened. The presentation was very nice, clean, and open. We went on a Sunday morning so it wasn't so busy. I ordered a few pastries: lemon bar, s'mores bar, almond croissant, strawberry croissant, pistachio cronut, and an Oreo tart to name a few. I also ordered a Spanish latte. Upon trying the coffee, it was delicious. I paired it with a strawberry croissant which was also delicious. Now, to the bad. So I went a little far and bought way too many treats. I assumed that the pastries would last a few days, but they actually don't. It seems that some of them fall apart or just don't taste good. I would come back, but this time, not order too much.

New bakery in town!!! This location is on Magnolia and it happens to be on the way home for me after working out at LA Fitness. HAHAHA. So I tried it and it was quite a good experience. They offer a wide selection of fresh pastries, cakes, and desserts. I got one of their buttery croissants and a slice of Black Forest chocolate cake. I figured why not treat myself as I had already gone and worked out for an hour. Let me tell you it was worth every bite and calorie. It is definitely Asian inspired as all the sweets are light, fresh, and tasty. Not that heavy sugar creamy taste that non Asian bakeries are. As for prices, they are quite decent. I also got a cappuccino that paired well with my buttery croissant and chocolate cake. The staff were friendly and welcoming when I stopped in and introduced their store and also gave some good recommendations. I wasn't in the macaron mood but looking at the various flavors I will definitely stop by again and try it. They even had pet treats for sale as well so its definitely pet friendly! Glad I stopped in as the overall service and variety make it a nice local spot for dessert, coffee, or a sweet celebration treat. Decent size parking lot in the front and lots of indoor dining tables where you can sit and enjoy your treats and with the wi-fi password, looks like its an OK to study or watch movies here.

Mr. Baker has many beautiful and tasty pastries and cakes. I personally enjoy their slice of tres leches cake as it has a delicious flavor. Their carrot cake is also pretty good as it has a lot of nuts and a delicious cream cheese frosting in the middle. The tiramisu was delicious as well. My only critique is that in general Mr. Baker's cake base has a slight grainy texture instead of a fluffy light texture. The inside has a lot of tables and chairs for people to sit and study. The workers are very friendly and knowledgeable about their pastries.

The best of 2 worlds. Croissant-like pastry but with a fluffy, pistachio cream filling. Its big!

We somehow managed to avoid this place for months upon its recent opening. But today, the willpower came to a crashing halt. The pastries and cakes are a sight to behold, and the interior, while fairly stark in decor, has more than a few tables to seat yourself and nibble. There is coffee, too. We usually go nuts in a place like this. Our freezer is well stocked. But shockingly, I chose only one pastry, a huge Pistachio Cruffin. My decision was based on observing another customer buying two of these behemoths. Unabashed, I asked if she had tried them before. Not only did she respond with a sheepish "yes", but her eyes got bigger as she confessed this is her son's favorite and he can eat one of these singlehandedly. That was all I needed to hear. I am currently nibbling on my half (since Mr B decided I should share) while writing this, and I totally get it. It is 5-star good. It fulfills my dream of an elegant croissant. The creamy filling with chopped pistachio, is dreamy and not overly sweet, something I really appreciate. It has a $7 price tag, but is worth it in quality, not to mention quantity, since it is so sharable. Based on this introduction, I would not hesitate to give more of their freshly baked goods a try. There are other creative renditions of croissants in their display, some sweet, others savory, not to mention gorgeous cakes (whole or by the slice), muffins, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. Pricey, but good. You really should check them out.

Mr. Baker is exactly what the name says a bakery store. I went in and ordered a coffee which was decent but not amazing. I also ordered their jalapeño ham croissant and it was delicious. The girls behind the counter are very nice and prompt and the inside of the business is very clean and minimalist. I like the windows allow for brightness as you can tell it is clean inside and welcoming. Lots and lots of options to choose from to eat whether it be cake muffins, croissants, etc. etc. I will be back for the food but not the drinks!

Whole cakes and by the slice
    Erin K.

Huge variety of items including croissants, full cakes, and creme brule that is torched to order. I decided on 2 cupcakes at $4.75 each, which felt steep for a regular sized cupcake. The Black Forest cupcake was a knock out! It was a chocolate cupcake filled with maraschino cherries, and topped with icing and chocolate curls. I would definitely to try another, or maybe even try a slice of the Black Forest cake. The Pistachio cupcake was underwhelming. The cake did not have any flavor and felt dyed green just for show.

$27, (2) chocolate croissants, 1 plan croissant, 2 raspberry tarts, a lemon tart and a pecan tart
    Keri C.

Good, but pricey. I understand it's a bakery, they're not mass producing premade junk, but $3.75 for a croissant just feels steep. Idk, maybe I'm cheap in this economy. It's probably standard for a bakery. Not the end of the world if you want a sweet treat but it adds up when you're trying to feed multiple people. I got 4 tarts, 2 chocolate croissants and a butter croissant for $27. Pasties were good though! The plain croissant had a hint of sweetness to it, not sure how I feel about that. Idk if I would crave or run for them but if you want a real bakery treat, it's one of the only places in the area I can think of, aside from Simple Simon and have fun dealing with parking there. Lots of room inside to hangout and enjoy your pasties or drinks, easy parking.

Uncle Fluffy has been on my list for like a gajillion years not even joking. my mother is a cheesecake fanatic.... and also an almond mom. so japanese cheesecake is that woman's dream: lighter, less dense, and less sweet than american cheesecakes (the higher protein content from fluffed egg whites also means u could make ur fellow gymbro into "making up" the calories too) the regular cheesecake was yum and the texture was divine: basically if you imagined a fluffy soufflé pancake and cheesecake had a baby. it didn't wow me though, especially since i love things on the sweeter side and it definitely wasn't. for a tiny $11 dessert, it didn't taste like i was indulging in a dirty little sweet treat. so i'll stick w my dense caloric diabetic cheesecakes from the freezer isle at vons. While the presentation was appealing, the overall quality and flavor were underwhelming. The cake lacked the freshness and texture I would expect from a specialty bakery, and the frosting was overly sweet without much depth of flavor. The ingredients tasted more similar to commercially produced products than the premium, homemade quality that the shop's reputation suggests. That said, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit, which made for a positive experience despite my disappointment with the product itself. I understand that taste is subjective, and others may have a different experience. However, based on my visit, I did not find the cupcakes to live up to the high praise they receive. I appreciate the outstanding service and hope the quality of the cupcakes will better match the level of care shown by the staff in the future.
