We opened a tab and paid for two games of pool, and had just started our first game when an employee who was clearing empty glasses walked over, put a penny on the table, and said, "I got next." We politely told him we had already paid for two games and that he could play after we finished. His response was that he works there and "it doesn't work like that." I've never been to an establishment where an employee, while on the clock, kicks paying customers off a pool table so he can play himself. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Needless to say, I'll never be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to any civilized person who expects basic respect as a paying customer. read more

Man what a shame. Came with some friends to play some pool after a night at Stowaway since it was right down the street. When we got there nobody was at the front to check our IDs so we walked right in. We were chilling in the back waiting for a table and decided to get a drink while we wait. This dude came up to us very aggressively and asked to see our ID. Then this woman thought we were laughing and started talking crap which made us feel so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave. Went here last night with the intention of playing pool. The five or six Pool tables were being used so we sat at the bar. The bar tenders name was Dee and she served us two beers. One modelo from the tap and a bottled bud light. The selection on beer was pretty basic. From the looks of it, they didn't have any ipas. It's a small bar but the vibe inside was very warm and welcoming. The pool tables were all still in use so we decided to hit up another bar. Fun little dive bar. Everyone is nice, staff and patrons. Fun music. There are 5 billiard tables. You'd be able to get an empty on if you came before 9 pm on a weekend. But if you came later, expect to wait for an open table. Prices are very reasonable. $5 for 5 rounds of pool. read more

Went here over the weekend with a date. I have never been to this place and found it on Google maps. Honestly, I had higher expectations of place. I thought it was relaxed and would be to take someone for drinks, maybe play a game or two of pool. But that was definitely not it. Place is on the loud side to be having a conversation with someone. This is a fun bar! We always go to fancy cocktail bars and I wanted to go to a dive bar that's low key with cool people. We got exactly that! The bartender was awesome! She made some really great drinks. The prices were fantastic. We got treated well so we tipped well! We weren't paying $18+ for a crappy watered out drink with people with mean attitudes. Rack Um Up is truly one of the best pool lounges you can come to in Tustin. As a matter of fact, it's not even close when compared to it's local counterparts like God Father, Walnut Room, etc. For one, the maintenance put into this place is outstanding. Not only does the owner ensure that cleanliness is up to the highest standard - which was especially important during the pandemic - she also sees that all the pool equipment is upgraded when necessary and up to date. Aside from that, all the staff is cheerful and treats you with respect as long as you're behaving. It's not uncommon that an individual comes along and has a bit too much to drink and begins to disrespect staff & other patrons, which results in the bartenders/bar backs having to take some sort of action to preserve the peace & safety of the establishment - which is probably the reason for a few unhappy reviews I see here . Shoutout to Diana, Sharea, Tati, Deanna, Jesse, Jimbo, Coral, and the rest for all their hard work and kindness. 10/10 would recommend this place, especially for those who love pool. read more
