( having worked in other areas as a delivery driver, I must say this location takes the cake for kind customers). However, PJ, the owner should really take a step back and understand the difference between what he can and cannot ask an employee to do off the clock, especially when they are so hard up for employees. I was ordering a Pizza (paying full price and off the clock, on my day off). One of the items I ordered did not show up in the order confirmation so I had my boyfriend call them to let them know, because it was my day off, I understandably don't want to talk to work. While my boyfriend was on the phone with them resolving the issue, The app would not refresh the page and I swore. apparently my use of the F word in my own home on my day off, as a paying customer, was enough for him to ask to speak to me and tell me that I could not swear and it was not acceptable. I even verified what he said and asked " did you really just tell me what I can and cannot say in my own home on my day off?" his response: "yes" This would be different if I were at the store, or clocked in, but I was not. Unless they want to pay the staff around the clock, telling me what language I use at home is simply not gonna happen. I would also like to add that PJ couldnt pick me from a line up as he has never worked with me, I have only seen him in passing. The only reason he would have known it was me was because the order was under my name. luckily for me, This is a side hustle job and not my main source of income. So I quit. Was it blown out of proportion for me to quit over that? probably. was it worth it? yes. My only regret is that I actually did enjoy this job. But none of that is attributed to the owner. All of that is the people who are there every day working their ASSES off. you guys are all A plus!

Unfortunately, as of late, even though I tell them each time that I call to make sure they're using fresh dough, I get over proofed dough. I really want them to get it right because again, hand tossed done correctly is great. I think they're letting it go one day too long, the yeast stops eating, and they're left with no oven spring! You gotta get it right please, for the sake of all us hand tossed lovers! Anyone know of another hand tossed in town?

We got the spicy pickle fries with homemade ranch. The pickle soars are spicy with a light, perfect coating and fried to crunchy, crispy goodness. Wealso got a sm/med pizza for the three of us adult and had about half left when we were done. Very generous with toppings, crust was experty baked with flaky and crackly sides and lush, light interior. Go here, you will love the food!

Today we were surrounded by pizza eaters, everyone happy and smiling. Place has open seating and plenty of TVs. We went for burgers. We had heard good things about burgers, so we dipped our toes into the change pool and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Either we had the wrong day or an inattentive cook. Wifey had the regular burger with a slice of raw and fries. Burger was ordered medium, a little pink showing. I went with the Gem Burger 1/3 pound with all the trimmings - tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon and a slice of pepper jack - and an order of fries. Wifeys burger was well done, even singed black on one side and her fries looked like they were from the end of the bag. All of them were pretty much less than an inch long. My burger was similar, not medium and more on the well side, but my bun was burned. Not just toasted a little extra, I could taste the burned bread. My fries were similar. The Gem has a problem with quality control. All the pizzas that came out looked fantastic, our burgers, not so much. The kicker was the cook came out to get a look at us before the end of the meal. Just a quick look and back to the kitchen. Bottom line .... stick to pizza. I'll never go back for another burger. There are better places in town for a good burger. Recommend that non pizza orders be double checked with good quality standards before leaving the kitchen.

We had been camping nearby, & wanted pizza. Never expected much, when you blindly pick a place, but…read morethey will deliver. That's a plus!! It was delicious! I'm originally from the Milwaukee area. They do know how to make pizza there. Then you move out of Milwaukee, to a small city in the country. People tell you where the great restaurants are. I'm really not sure what they are comparing their choices to. So we ordered a pizza, from the place that everyone raved about in town by us. It smelled really good, started to eat it, I would have rather ate the cardboard box that it came in. The crust was disgusting! The sauce had no flavor, neither did the Italian sausage. That was the first & last place we tried pizza in this area. Back to "Thee Upper Crust Pizzeria", Pardeeville, WI. I cannot Bragg enough about their Pizza. It's the best I have ever tasted! The smell when you walked in made me want to try everything on the menu! Then the pizza! We like thin crust. It was Amazing! The sauce was the best I ever tasted! Just the right amount of spices and the flavor was incredible! Italian sausage, was perfect! They actually use the cheese from our small city. That is really good cheese. Just everything that we have tried there, has been amazing! I have to admit though, I cannot go there & not order their pizza! Anything else we have wanted to try, we take it to go. They package up everything very well. The service is very fast, waiters & waitresses are very polite. We have even had the owner stop by our table to make sure everything was great, & asked if there was anything that he could get for us. Very pleasant people. We actually go there quite often, the food is just that good. From our home, to "thee Upper Crust Pizzeria" takes us 1hour & 38 minutes. That is one way! So it's a drive, but so worth the trip! They do not let you give more than a 5 star rating here, which sucks! This place should have double the stars! And, now I want their pizza...

Added the fries, but not my favorite. Looks like they use soy oil. We did not care for the baked ziti. Meat sauce had lots of spicy ground sausage. Too spicy for me. Don't care for their red sauce either. And pasta noodles were over cooked. Would definitely get the beef sandwich again. Nice size portion.

The Saturday special: baked tilapia in a bed of risotto and zucchini was delightful. The service was excellent. The only downside was the A/C. The dining room felt extremely cold at 4pm. We came here on a Friday for fish fry, and arrived shortly after they opened. Good thing, because…read morethey filled up very quickly and we hadn't had a reservation. It was the first weekend they had their patio open to dining, so we naturally chose a spot outside -- in the shade, it was a bit much in the unabated sun. I thought we'd have a river view, but it was hidden behind some trees and a few cabins. Oh well. Still a nice outdoor spot away from the city. We were warned that there was a party of like 20 people coming in shortly to the patio, but we did not notice and interruption in our service as the gang flowed in. I will never love the ability to smoke cigarettes on an outdoor patio, so maybe I should have sat inside, but still worth being outside despite the occasional irritation. To each their own. Our server was great, and was very patient with our slow proces of ordering drinks, appetizers, and the meal in relatively spaced out time periods. The Old Fashioneds were great, without too much of the muddle and soda and more emphasis on the booze -- still a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, though! I enjoyed the cheese curds and was very intrigued by their potato and cheddar crusted cod. I usually get the fried cod during a Friday Fish Fry, but this sounded somehow elevated. Alas, I didn't find it to provide any extra or new flavors, and there was nothing crispy about it. The breading was more like a mooshy exterior that didn't do a ton for the fish. The fish was cooked nicely, but the very high price was very much not warranted. I can get crispier and lower priced cod closer to home, so just can't justify the trip for the fish fry. But then there was dessert. I'm always looking to recreate a favorite (late) childhood dessert that involved brandy infused ice cream. I always ask at a Friday Fish Fry if they can make a Brandy Alexander that's thick enough you need a spoon. They claimed this to be the case, and they did not disappoint. This was a delicious Brandy Alexander and definitely worth a trip back. So, while I wasn't crazy about my overpriced, non-crispy fish fry, I still enjoyed myself and enjoyed my food... I'm glad we came and tried it out, and if you're looking for a nice supper club spot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
