I worked for PJs until 10/04/2021. The food is great, the managers are great, the co- workers are great and make for a great work enviroment. But mostly, the customers are great! ( having worked in other areas as a delivery driver, I must say this location takes the cake for kind customers). However, PJ, the owner should really take a step back and understand the difference between what he can and cannot ask an employee to do off the clock, especially when they are so hard up for employees. I was ordering a Pizza (paying full price and off the clock, on my day off). One of the items I ordered did not show up in the order confirmation so I had my boyfriend call them to let them know, because it was my day off, I understandably don't want to talk to work. While my boyfriend was on the phone with them resolving the issue, The app would not refresh the page and I swore. apparently my use of the F word in my own home on my day off, as a paying customer, was enough for him to ask to speak to me and tell me that I could not swear and it was not acceptable. I even verified what he said and asked " did you really just tell me what I can and cannot say in my own home on my day off?" his response: "yes" This would be different if I were at the store, or clocked in, but I was not. Unless they want to pay the staff around the clock, telling me what language I use at home is simply not gonna happen. I would also like to add that PJ couldnt pick me from a line up as he has never worked with me, I have only seen him in passing. The only reason he would have known it was me was because the order was under my name. luckily for me, This is a side hustle job and not my main source of income. So I quit. Was it blown out of proportion for me to quit over that? probably. was it worth it? yes. My only regret is that I actually did enjoy this job. But none of that is attributed to the owner. All of that is the people who are there every day working their ASSES off. you guys are all A plus! read more

My favorite pizza when it's right! Many of my friends like Log Tavern, but I'm down for a good hand tossed. Unfortunately, as of late, even though I tell them each time that I call to make sure they're using fresh dough, I get over proofed dough. I really want them to get it right because again, hand tossed done correctly is great. I think they're letting it go one day too long, the yeast stops eating, and they're left with no oven spring! We've been getting pizzas from PJ'S CG for a few years and loving them. But this week we got subs. Holy Wah....best Italian sub I've had in years! The bread was phenomenal and not like I've ever had anywhere else. Ingredients were perfectly fresh and flavorful. I asked for and received light on the dressing. What a great Sammie. They switched pepperoni, you now have small grease ponds in the middle of their new brand. They smell frozen and the grease absorbs into the cheese. The board of Health needs to investigate this quality!! read more

I like the pizza here. It's consistently good quality and prepared in a timely manner. The crust is chewy and always cooked just right. I have heard it is under new ownership and the new owners really care about their business. If we are going to keep businesses like this in Lodi then we have to patronize them. read more

I was hoping Tano's pizza would be the answer to Lodi's pizza desert. Sadly, not so. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza off their menu. It's billed as having extra cheese. The "extra" cheese is what I would expect as a normal portion on any pizza from a quality pizzeria. We also ordered cheese bread, which turned out to be a pizza crust with some cheese baked onto it. Over-baked, actually, since the crust was hard and what little cheese was on there was dry and not gooey. Further, the menu did not describe the cheese bread in the manner in which it was presented. Other pizza places have offerings like this, but they don't usually bill them as cheese "bread," and whether they do or not, there's actually a respectable amount of cheese on them. If Tano's wants to do something like this right, I suggest they check out The Wausau Mine Company's version as a guide. Prices were reasonable, but I would be willing to pay more for a decent product. I would rate them lower than I have, but I've only ordered from them once, and will give them another chance. read more

Updated AGAIN: Okay, so last night we had some great Tano's. The driver was here ahead of schedule and the food was hot and fresh. Pizza was great and wings were fine. It's not a wings place so I don't expect great wings. My only complaint THIS time is that we received thick crust. Blech. This is partially (or maybe completely) my fault because I did not specify thin crust when ordering by phone. It'd be great if they reminded us that they have different types of crust. Again, this is probably on me though. Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that you roll the dice when you order Tano's. read more

My boyfriend and I order from PJs often and every time we've ordered for pick up we wait at least 15-20 minutes. This wait time is on top of 20 minutes waiting to drive there to pick up after ordering. The pizza is good but their service makes it not worth it. We ordered the Hawaiian - they didn't skimp on ingredients. It was a hot, gooey, greasy, cheesy, salty, yummy treat for us. Also ordered the brownie, which was a bit dry. 5 stars because we really didn't expect the brownie to be the star of the show. Just spoke to "PJ" the manager after spending 10 minutes on the phone with a girl who obviously didn't know what she was doing. They had some random address attached to my phone number, and were trying to update it, I assume. They said they don't deliver to our street. I mentioned that they just did earlier this week. He said "it was a mistake." I asked if the 25+ other orders that have been delivered here were a mistake too, and he said "yep." I could not be happier with my experience today. The cheese fries I received were probably the best I've ever had & that's my go-to evil food when I'm having a lazy, spoil myself kind of day. But what really shined for me was my personal interactions with Alicia on the phone & PJ the owner, who actually did the delivery. These people CARE about their customers & the food they produce. So i ordered a small pepperoni pizza and italian sausage calzone to try this new pizza place. Total less than $14, not expecting much for so little. The pizza was greasy. I have tried Tano's the first two times I wasn't impressed because the first time they weren't taking orders at that time the second time it took them over two hours to deliver the pizza come to find out they only had one pizza oven to start off and just completely overwhelmed with Lodi expectations of pizza little did they know we hadn't had a pizza place in a very long time. I have given them a couple other shots and the pizza has always been good the pepperoni knots are to die for and you can order a thin crust if you want! Went from quality for the first few months.. when you ordered the LG lasagna the tin was full 3 months later / 2 pieces of lasagna hardly any meat looked lik rabbit droppings , instead of sausage !! mostly cheese and sauce.. The first n subs we bought when they first opened !!!! The philly cheese was FAB.. 2 inches of meat !... nice ... next time a few months later ! As they say ! Where's the meat ! One of four sandwiches was made as ordered. One was not even the right sandwich. I'd guess that we got somebody else's order if they looked busy. I don't understand how the order can be so messed up.
