Tucked away in a quiet little street is The T room, a truly enchanting, beautifully decorated little cottage that feels like stepping into a grandmother's house. The entire small space is infused with warmth and was perfumed by the aroma of brewing leaves. Adding to its charm, it was decorated with adorable Christmas decorations adorning every nook. Margo, the personable proprietor, channels tge inspiration of her mother who ran her own teahouse back in Russia. Margo has run this little teahouse almost entirely on her own for 20 years. The menu has a large variation of teas, including my favorite butterscotch--a rich buttery tea with notes of vanilla. Each tea is served in vintage porcelain cups. Our delicate tea sandwiches along with our honey served in a unique sparkling glass container were perfection. I also loved that the portions were very generous. I was joined by my friend Roxy, who was dressed so beautifully and is always so sweet and considerate and wonderful company, which made the entire afternoon a wonderful memorable experience. I cannot wait to return again!

We had the best time at the T room. If you are a Harry Potter fan it's like Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop come to life. The cook/waitress was extremely nice to us and made us feel right at home. Even with no reservation and the place packed with customers we were seated immediately on their adorable back patio. The tea shop had no problem doing substitutions, so even though the pre-set tea comes with chicken sandwiches they let us sub them out for olive ones. The decore is so cute and there are so many details to constantly look at. I tried the strawberry vanilla tea and my friend tried the pomegranate and they were both so delicious and flavorful. The food was way more filling than we expected and we had to take a box with the food to go, as so much was given. I really liked the strawberry jam on the scones and the lemon cake as it was especially moist and tasty. This was such a a pleasant and relaxing experience I would love to return, their peach tea was catching my eye and I would like to try that one next.

Excellent service and country style charm throughout, even the highly decorated bathroom! The owner is friendly and warm. We celebrated a birthday here and they brought out a complimentary cake slice and sang with us. There's one tea service menu at a great price of $32 including 6 tea sandwiches and so much fresh fruit. The Lingonberry chicken sandwich had a generous amount of chicken. Note that they provide one pot of tea per two guests and no refills. When we asked they gave us hot water. They have a good selection of teas. The highlight of the sweet treats is the Tres Leches caramel cake. I would get that alone. The tiers are tower over you as you dine, enhancing the encompassing experience. We sat oin the back, a cozy covered outside area that accommodates 3 or 4 groups. Was cute but next time would like to sit inside, which is more formal looking. And there will be a next time! Parking is free in a large public lot across the street. Sunday there's a Farmers' Market, too. It was my first time in Montrose, a small town like Ojai. I recommend strolling the streets and checkout out the majority small businesses.

Loved this place. I took my 3 and 6 year old daughter. They loved it. It's a memorable experience. Food is great. Service is great. The owner is a sweetheart. The servers were just so kind to my girls. Felt like an Armenian auntie serving with her heart. Adorable cups and saucers

It has been over 10 years since I've been back and I can't believe why I did not come back. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The service is outstanding and friendly. The sandwiches are very filling and the scones are hot from the oven. Make sure to make a reservation and it's a cash only place. There's a Wells Fargo across the street if you need cash. Charming, well priced, and you leave full.

I made a reservation for Monday mid-morning which was nice because it wasn't too busy. The tea room was very nicely decorated with vintage tea sets, appropriate music, beautifully set seats and tables. The owner, Margo, has run the restaurant for 20years and she's very personable. She was seating ppl, getting their tea orders, cooking and serving ppl on her own. A little while longer she had an assistant but I was amazed she was doing it all herself. We had the masala chai and black currant tea and both were very good. My family enjoyed the sandwiches, scones and desserts. The amount of food was more than enough that we had leftovers. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Note it's cash only. And Margo does let you know when you make your reservations.

The outside of this establishment is absolutely beautiful!

This place was wonderful the owner and waiters were wonderful and super sweet. They made us feel at home and were so friendly and nice. I'd love to come again along with the food here being delicious and surprisingly very filling despite the size they come in. The teas that they serve were delicious. The overall ambience was very relaxing and very much what it would feel like to have a tea party. It was amazing and the fact that they had a speaker where you could set up the music is better. Overall review would love to come back and enjoy some delicious tea with some lovely and friendly waitress!

The T Room is such a hidden gem--everything about the experience felt so charming and thoughtfully put together. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with a cozy, elegant tea-party vibe that makes you feel like you stepped into something special. The food was fresh and delicious, from the perfectly made tea to the assortment of sandwiches and sweets. Everything tasted high quality and well-prepared, and the presentation was just as lovely as the flavors. What really made our visit stand out though was our server, Margo. She was genuinely amazing--so warm, attentive, and welcoming. She made us feel comfortable right away and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. You can tell she really cares about the experience she gives her guests. If you're looking for a cute, relaxing spot for tea, brunch, or just something a little different, The T Room is definitely worth it. And if you can, ask for Margo--she's the best!

Sandwiches on bottom tier, soft fresh breads both wheat and white, no crust, all delicious.

First time here. Cutest tea house gem, hidden in plain sight for the last 20 years. Friendly welcome from the sister owners. Best tea-sized sandwiches ever....Mother's Day tea, mom approved....food is dainty and generous..."it's good it's good," mom says in duplicate. That high praise coming from a discerning a.k.a. picky eater. The scones were yum yum soft warm not dry, with the dreamy cream and cut strawberries...and a berry jam. Best scone ever. The desserts top the triple-tiered plate serving tray and there was lots of fruit...besides the green and red grapes (these were a little past ripe)....blackberries, cherries, cleanly- cut stawberries....great attention to detail. Great variety of desserts we boxed up, saved for later at home since the sandwiches were so delicious, especially the salmon and cucumber...mom loved the olivade, and did I. I've never eaten a dainty olive sandwich but now I want more. Lovely perk - Even the sister of the owner kindly pours the first cup for you. Ambiance is cute, girly, yet classy. Tea cups and saucers and chandeliers. And the patio outside is so sweeet too ....nicely decorated in the same style but with a garden vibe....just too hot this Sunday , so we chose inside instead. ( It was nice we had a choice.) Lights dimmed inside, so it felt magical...was just a marvelous happy tea experience rivaling those other more (overly) pricey ones at hotels in Pasadena. Give this place a try....quality classy casual. And cute!! Wide variety of interesting teas, delicious, in a big beauitful teapot. P.S. A morning Farmers Market on weekends on Honolulu St. Ends around 2 pm. Free 3 hour public parking across street from T Room. Cash only. Tip generously. Thank you Esmeralda for giving my mom a gift. And me a hug.

Was surprised to see how packed the place was on a Tuesday afternoon. Had the Chaco afternoon tea,, and celebration afternoon tea service. The soup was phenomenal. Ambient was calming. The staff were very attentive and I enjoyed my visit there. Our host. Sam was particularly helpful in helping us select the type of tea we wanted and also in answering questions we had about the place. Food was filling enough for use to take some sandwiches home. Highly recommended tea house. I will be visiting shadow again.

The food, service and ambience was perfect. Everything was delicious and the ladies were very friendly. This was my first time at this place and I loved it. I highly recommend it.

Ask the Community - The T Room

    Is there convenient parking? Thanks!

Yes, there's a lot for free parking across the street as well as street parking

Do they have gluten free options or not? Some of the other reviews aren't clear and are several years old.

Every time I call it doesn't ring through and just has a high-pitched beeping noise. Is this location still in service? Curious if you are open and doing anything December 24 or 25th that reservations could be made for.

Do you accept walk ins on Thursdays?

Call in advance if you can but you can get lucky without reservation on weekday depending.

Do you think that it is a good idea to have a 50 people party there (baby shower)? Would it be too small?

I believe that with sufficient notice, they could definitely accommodate that request.

We parked easily in the street. There is a small parking available at the back of the cottage too. They told us to arrive twenty minutes earlier than our appointment. Photos are not allowed inside but you can take some pictures outside only. Sir. Edmund accompanied each guest to her seat. It is a vintage tea place with homey and cozy vibes. Shoutout to Edmund, Mary, and Janette. We had several courses. It was as follows: -Elderflower drink with strawberry and raspberry, potato chips, quail egg,and grapes. -Tea -Yorkshire Pudding(beef, chicken, shrimp &Lobster, cheese & tomato). Mary came with a tray to choose from twice. I chose shrimp & Lobster and cheese & tomato. They were savory, flavorful, airy, and perfectly delicious. The best Yorkshire Pudding I have ever tried. -Classic smoked salmon sandwiches with Champagne. - Heart shaped scone with strawberry, rich clotted cream, and jam. Their scone was delicate and flaky. - A decadent Chocolate like cup filled with layers of cake and whipped cream, then topped with fresh and sweet raspberry. My goodness! This dessert was really indulgent, and luxurious. - A tray of macarons, short bread cookies, sticky toffee pudding.I chose sticky toffee pudding because it looked perfect. My instinct was right. It was moist, rich, covered with caramel like sauce and really comforting. - Turkish Delight ( choice between one piece of lemon or rose). I chose the rose one. It was nice In addition to,endless refill of tea, milk, elderflower, and champagne. Janette was very sweet. She took our pictures outside too. Mary and Edmund put a candle in my dessert. Edmund told everyone to congratulate me for my birthday. He also gave me one of the largest Meyer aromatic lemon as a birthday present from his garden. It was so sweet of him. The smoked salmon sandwich was probably my favorite of the savory bites. The desserts were pretty, sweet, and fit the whimsical princess tea-room aesthetic well. Nothing was overly adventurous or fusion-y, but everything felt thoughtfully prepared for an elevated afternoon tea experience. The portions were surprisingly filling by the end too! Price: Rose & Blanc is one of the more approachable afternoon tea experiences in Los Angeles. Their standard tea service starts around $38 per person, while the more elaborate tea set runs about $50 per person and includes additional stuff. Given how expensive high tea can get around LA, the pricing feels fairly reasonable, especially for special occasions like birthdays, bridal showers, or catching up with friends. Ambiance: The ambiance is probably the biggest draw here. The entire space is decorated in soft baby pink with floral accents, chandeliers, vintage-inspired décor, and elegant table settings. It feels feminine, charming (not tacky at all!) and intentionally designed for celebrations, and of course Instagram photos. Despite being located upstairs in a bustling Koreatown plaza, once you're inside it feels surprisingly cozy and transported from the busy city outside. Service: Service was friendly and attentive throughout the tea service. Staff checked in regularly, explained the tea sets, and kept things moving at a comfortable pace without making us feel rushed. Since tea service is reservation-based and served during designated seating times, everything felt organized and structured. Most servers spoke both English and Korean yay Parking: Parking is easier than expected for ktown. There's a self-parking structure available in the building, though spaces can fill up quickly during popular tea times and special events. I'd still recommend arriving a little early to secure a spot.

The whole decor is cute with pink and white being the main motif of the tea room which is a stark difference from the plaza just outside. The dishware and tea sets are all so cute and the teas? Plenty of options. My wife and I tried out the pear and hibiscus teas respectively and they were just right: not too sweet. The sandwiches were great with slight asian influences to them. The pastries were my favorite though, nothing like a scone with butter and jam to go with your tea. Anyway, great teas, great food, great vibes, and great prices. What more do you need?
