I loved stopping by this little cafe on the main street in river falls. it has a super homey, laid back feel, so don't expect anything crazy, but still such a nice spot for a good breakfast and some pie (they had so many kinds!!) The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was soooo good and reasonably priced. I appreciated the changes they would make- like adding chorizo to my eggs. Also LOVED that they had some games at the table, we definitely took advantage of the UNO. read more

This is a cute little cafe on Main Street. Booths and tables set up throughout the restaurant, with a theme of flowers. We ordered sandwiches from our friendly server Makenna. I got a sandwich with a grilled chicken breast, bacon, and squashed cheese curds. They were happy to accommodate my requests of sourdough bread instead of a bun and the ranch on the side. It came with some delicious homemade potato chips and a few pickle slices. It was yummy. My husband got their version of a Reuben which was also delicious. He ordered tator tots instead of fries, for a small upcharge for a mountain of crunchy tots. A manager person stopped by to check on our meals as well. While we waited for our food to arrive, they had games at the table and a shelf in the back, so that was an enjoyable use of our time. read more

I had the option to add cheese and grilled onions to the hash browns, ( the most wisconsin version of hash browns I've ever had) and it was amazing. My fussy husband loved the food, and would not stop talking about how he loved his meat lovers omelet with veggies. Thank you, cooks, for being generous with the hollandaise! The hash browns were perfect; you could tell they use fresh oil. The side pancake filled the plate! It was tall and fluffy and slightly sweet, so I did not use syrup. The coffee mugs are huge! The lovely waitress brought a carafe of coffee. The tall, strong gent on staff told us he's married to our sweet waitress and the whole operation is a family affair. We ordered a whole caramel apple pie to go, for Christmas dinner; I imagine that will knock Mom & Dad's socks off. We are delighted The Table on Main is right in downtown River Falls and it's our new go-to breakfast/lunch place. The Table-On-Main family all work hard and we wish you continued success. read more

Very impressed with the new menu. What a breath of fresh air! The inside could use an upgrade to match the craft menu. But alas it's still a small town college diner; and less ppl care about that. God service and great portions. The booths are a bit small. It was difficult to have my baby close to me on her car seat as they were a bit tight. Taking one booth out and spreading them out a bit would solve that. read more

Ordered the Corned Beef Hash, a carry over from the South Fork's old menu. The difference was the new owners forgot to put in the corned beef. It was mostly fried potatoes and green pepper, maybe with an ounce or two of beef. Very disappointing . The service was good. Not likely to go back. read more

We stopped at Table on Main for breakfast, and everything was amazing. The service, the food, and the atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and fun. It took us a while to decide what we wanted to order, and she was very patient. The food was hot (hot is 60% of good for me), and the food looked and tasted as good as it looked. Very nice wait staff and they had games to play while waiting for your meal. However, my friend had a hamburger and it was one of the worst burgers that she's ever had. The meat was a very odd texture, almost like fillers were added to it. My meal was okay. It was a grilled cheese. It was fine but nothing spectacular. Table On Main has become a favorite place for lunch for my wife and I. The staff is very friendly. Since we go there frequently they promptly bring us a couple of diet Cokes. They have daily specials and a full menu. The food is very good with generous portions. The daily specials typically can be ordered as full size, or half sized portion. We are retired and live in River Falls so we eat at Table on Main probably about 3 times per week. read more

Food was great and service was just fine, my main issue today with our experience was that it was very busy in the restaurant, and because of that my boyfriend and I were placed what felt like was right behind the bar, at a table by the door and window. There was someone using the blender about 4 feet away from us, a couple times today. And because of this we couldn't hold a conversation. We weren't even offered an apology for the inconvenience of a blender going off in our ears during our time here. It was incredibly rude in my opinion and really upset me. It also just felt dirty being able to see behind the bar at what everyone was doing. Like the girl using the blender touching the unwashed fruit with her hands. Bad experience today. read more

Waited an hour and a half for our food - I am SUPER understanding of busy Saturdays as a former waitress, but we were seeing tables who arrived after us leave before we had even gotten our food. Our waitress came to ask what we ordered... which I feel like they should've known. After we finally received our food, I asked for a slice of pie and didn't receive it until I had finished (I asked for it right away), and my coffee was never refilled. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us but we paid full price even after mentioning that we had been here for over an hour and a half. Overall, not a great experience. read more

My boyfriend and I, have tried going THREE times because we thought the first experience was a fluke. The first time; our waiter forgot to put our order in and didn't realize until we said something and hour and a half later. We ended up walking out because we had things to do that day and didn't have time to wait. The second time, our food took almost an hour and when we got it, it was cold and not very tasty food. The third time today was the topper. I ordered orange juice and it was room temp, not very good. We waited for an hour and a half which is fine because we know they were down a cook. However, we didn't hear that from any of the staff we had another customer tell us, but no staff let us know. After we asked ths waiter about how long she proceeded to get behind the counter and stand there, come back and tell us five minutes. 25 minutes later we got our cold, soggy burrito and very overdone hashbrowns with a waffle that was room temp. Never going back there. I hate saying places have awful service due to how many customer service jobs I have worked myself... but this was most definitely AWFUL service. read more

Went to River Falls to hear music but had wanted to try this restaurant beforehand since it had changed from South Fork restaurant, where I had a few good meals before. I was a little skeptical but was in for a great surprise regarding really great menu choices--it was hard to decide what to order since it all looked pretty good--AND finding out how good the food was after we got it. My friend and I both had the Friday fish dinner special--4 pieces of fish with sides but paid a little more for some waffle fries, which you can't get just anywhere. The pieces of fish were a little small but SO tasty and I think the smaller size of the fish pieces allowed for more of the wonderful crunchy batter to coat it. LOVED the tartar sauce, which is usually what ruins it for me when I order a fish fry elsewhere, even if the fish is good. The owner told me she made it from scratch and I really could tell since it was delicious! My friend thought it could use a little more dill pickle but that was his only concern. The price was good for our whole dinners, I thought. I saw that they had homemade caramels rolls with nuts so I HAD to try one and it was heated up a little for me. The owner told me she made those from scratch that morning--YUM!!! I should have asked for a little butter to be melted on top to make it more delicious than it was but I didn't. I plan to go there again to try some of their other menu items. Try it! You'll like it! read more
