    Southwest omelet
    Tiersa B.

Oh my! I've always wanted to try West Wind Supper Club in River Falls, but we never had. After seeing everyone's pics we decided to try it (for takepitonight. So dang good! Sadly, I don't have pictures, but we shared a French dip (added peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese just because!), a twice baked potato and the risotto of the day which happened to be cranberry and walnut. Sounded different, but it was seriously among the best risotto I've ever had. We can't wait to go back! Updated: We were tired of our usual breakfast places and decided to try the West Wind. We ordered and shared the Southwest omelet with bacon, jalapeños, peppers, cojita cheese and guac. OMG. Hands down, my new favorite omelet of all time! The real wheat toast with (cranberry?) and orange jam was delicious as well.

Queen cut prime rib, twice baked potatoes, au jus and horseradish sauce. Really outstanding.

This place is just right for River Falls WI! The menu is spot on as far as giving you a feel for the look and taste of the items on the menu. My friends and I were in town on business. I had the prime rib it was outstanding. The twice baked potato outstanding. The clam chowder very good. The au jus was perfectly flavored, as was the prime rib. Prime rib is my favorite simple food, that really is not simple at all. I was so happy with it. My friends got the portobello burger which is actually a portobello on a ground chuck burger he loved it he thought it was great. And the other guy got the salmon with the sauce whatever it was who cares I'm tired of writing everything was fantastic. I'm gonna throw on a couple pictures that I've done this was the best meal we've had in River Falls. Oh and the service was outstanding too the waitress in the bar area did a fantastic job.

The price is right for the Monday special prime rib. I also ordered the fish and chips and I could say I had better somewhere else.

There wasn't anyone inside eating , but they had plenty of orders they were working on for drive thru. Very clean inside. People inside were all very kind and professional . I got the meal. So for about 10.50 I got a huge sub made exactly the way I wanted it, a soda. And that huge big cookie. Now I am in a food coma! JJ IS THE SUPERIOR CHOICE. I gave up on Subway long ago. The inconsistencies and they are not less expensive. It is around just 10.75 for a Spicey Italian without a meal. Long gone are the $5 subs all day. And I have to say JJ tastes like they have real meat. Unlike Subway and their fake crab meat or fake jello'd icky meats that taste like the meats came right out of an Oscar Myer cheap lunch meat package. JJ is just better. The Best ever! And I don't just give 5 stars. If u ask for extra lettuce and no Mayo, and ask for extra say... onion. U will get it. U don't need to stand and watch some person put a few flakes of lettuce on your sandwich thinking that they out extra on it. Or have someone use a knife all full of mayo and cut that sub and half and putting God knows what I'm the ends of your sub? Lol! Do yourself a favor and check them out! Until the next review, -Yelp-Steve-O, out!

Place was nice and clean. I was greeted right away when I walked in and it was a busy place. I tried the classic #18 which is the roast beef turkey with provolone cheese sub. I added the mayo and mustard mix sauce, honey mustard sauce, lettuce and tomato on garlic Parmesan bread. That was fresh and oh so delicious! Staff was fast and friendly. A gentleman helped explained their points program short and sweet on how easy I can register and claim my points after my purchase. I will definitely be back to try out more subs!

In a busy spot with other businesses but again, plenty of easy accessible parking. It was our first time around, the employees were great, patient and friendly. The sammiches themselves were also good with very generous portions of meat and fixings. A complete opposite of other big name sub chains. Small seating area inside but it was well maintained. Diligent staff were keeping the tables and chairs cleaned. Only ding - maybe it is because of its newness or something else, but saw multiple customers walk out from the line and leaving before putting their order. There were 2 stations where subs were being made but only 1 for the walk-in crowd which seemed to make the line go ever so slow. We ordered turkey which was great and we also ordered a chicken melt which came out like 5 minutes after the turkey sub was done and paid for. Hopefully management figures out the optimal workflow, otherwise, my concern is that they will keep on losing walk-in customers and then people will not know what they are missing out on.

Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart.
